Alpha's Lost Luna Returns With His Twins

Chapter 325-Always Like A Hero

Chapter 325-Always Like A Hero

Iris:

I thought he was gone. There was no moment from him for a while.

And then I noticed Kash push harder this time, and suddenly Luca’s body jerked.

A harsh cough tore out of him as water spilled from his mouth. He turned to the side, choking and dragging in air that sounded painful, but at least he was alive.

I looked at Kash and gave him a relieved smile while Luca tried to steady his breathing.

"Breathe slowly," Kash instructed, gripping Luca’s shoulders to steady him.

Luca blinked up at the night sky, confusion spreading across his face, likely from the memory of what had just happened.

It took him a few seconds to realize what we had gone through tonight and everything we had survived in the last few hours.

"Oh my goodness, you’re okay," I said, my voice unsteady, but at least he was fine. "You’re alive," I added, smiling through tears.

He swallowed hard, still breathing heavily, and held my hand, squeezing my fingers tightly as if confirming that he truly was there.

Then he let go as I slipped closer to Kash, who once again carried me in his arms and rose to his feet. He turned to look at the dark river.

It was silent now, almost as if nothing had happened.

"It is over. Don’t worry," Kash whispered to me, kissing my temple as he began to carry me inside.

Luca pushed himself up slowly, still coughing, but the warriors held him up, supporting his body.

The river was so silent that even though it was no longer threatening, it felt strange.

Kash took me to the room while Luca went to his room to dry off.

I knew they were going to talk about it.

By the time Kash dried my hair and helped me change, we were once again sitting in the living room.

I had a blanket wrapped around me, my body still cold, and Kash had asked the doctors to come for a checkup.

"You fought that thing to get a pearl for your wife and your son?" Luca asked Kash, shocked at how dangerous the monster must have been when she had her tail and when she was in her blue river.

"I guess I should have killed her at that time," Kash commented, sounding sad.

The doctors arrived and began checking my blood pressure and everything else.

Kash and Luca were sitting on separate sofas facing each other, talking quietly.

But not too quietly because I was able to hear them talk about Eira.

The maids had prepared food, but I still could not stop thinking that if Kash had not arrived, I did not know what would have happened.

"She needs to rest and needs to eat well," the doctor uttered, getting Kash’s attention.

"And she’s fine, but please make sure that she doesn’t exert herself too much again," the doctor said when she finally finished the checkup.

She informed Kash that I was completely okay, just really tired.

I knew Kash was already upset and feeling guilty that he could have prevented this whole mess if he had killed the monster, but I truly did not see all of this as his fault.

He had done whatever he could. There was no way he could have thought that she would come out of the water just for the sake of revenge.

"And that thing was in love with you," Luca mumbled, shaking his head in disbelief at how Kash had been wanted by a creature so deadly.

"Well, there is only one creature that I want to be in love with me," Kash commented, slowly turning his head to look at me.

The way he made me blush was unbelievable.

Then Kash went ahead to speak with the doctor.

He paid them and bid them farewell while Luca and I were still sitting on the couch, too stunned to honestly get up and move, at least I was.

"If you had not arrived at the right time, Iris, I don’t know how she would have controlled me," Luca commented, thanking me for earlier storming into the room.

"Well, but I also ruined your moment of fun," I said.

As soon as I said that, he stared at me in silence before we both burst out laughing.

"It was fun for a while before I found out she was a crazy monster," he laughed, shaking his head.

"But it is true. If Kash had not arrived, I don’t think any of us would have been alive by now," I added, my eyes moving to Kash, who was returning toward us.

He sat beside me and pulled me closer to his chest.

Luca briefly looked away, clearly trying to adjust to the fact that he had to remain on good terms with us while Kash was being affectionate with me.

Then Luca straightened his posture and looked at us with a small smile.

"How are things going at home?" Luca asked, referring to the other mission that had forced us into hiding.

"Lara has started her vicious cycle," Kash said, making both Luca and me look at each other before turning our full attention back to him.

"I think in no time she will reveal her true colors to my mother," Kash explained, and I understood what he was trying to do.

He wanted his mother to be punished too.

He wanted her to be insulted by the woman she had so desperately taken the side of, which was why I did not say anything either.

I was quite on board with the idea.

"I cannot wait to go back home to my children," I said, pouting slightly at Kash, who gave me a small nod.

"Don’t worry. Zoe is taking care of them. And yes, they are missing you too, but you will be back soon," he said, leaning down and kissing my forehead.

"And I will make sure you reunite with your children too," Kash said to Luca, making me hug him tightly at how understanding he was of everyone’s problems.

Luca seemed to appreciate him as well.

He gave a closed-mouth smile and nodded to himself, acknowledging Kash’s kind heart.
