Chapter 723: Proposal Witness
Chapter 723: Proposal Witness
What kind of ceremony? Is today some sort of anniversary?
Isabella Weaver racked her brains but couldn’t figure it out.
She entered a spacious room, where two maids helped her change clothes.
However, there was no makeup artist here, so Isabella simply washed her face, combed her hair, looked in the mirror, and smiled.
Fortunately, she was young, with fair complexion and a natural rosy glow, so she could get by without makeup.
She had already changed into a scarlet gown, with a large skirt that touched the ground, requiring the two maids to lift it as she walked.
She walked out of the room, waiting for Alexander Parker to turn around.
Like a budding magnolia bloom, she appeared before him.
He rarely saw Isabella wearing such bright and vivid colors; the scarlet dress made her even more radiant and charming.
He extended his arm and whispered, "Let’s go, cousin."
Isabella followed him a few steps and then looked up to see Harry Hunter standing on the second floor.
He had changed into a suit that seemed similar to the last one, but Isabella could tell it was new.
Together with Alexander Parker, she ascended the stairs, layer by layer, amidst the music, until they reached Harry Hunter.
Alexander Parker wore a gloomy expression, clenched his teeth countless times, and finally took Isabella’s hand, placing it in Harry’s.
Harry Hunter couldn’t utter any of the lines he had been given earlier. It was enough that he didn’t start a fight! How could he expect him to recite something like "talented man and beautiful lady, destined pair"?
If his strength matched Harry’s, he would’ve snatched Isabella away without a second thought.
He stepped aside, watching the two of them hold hands, their eyes meeting, especially when he saw his cousin smiling sweetly at Harry with anticipation, it shattered his heart!
Harry Hunter was simply inhuman!
To put him in such a situation, wasn’t he afraid he’d mess things up?
Alexander Parker glared at Harry Hunter in frustration, feeling like his handsome face deserved a punch.
But Harry Hunter paid no attention to Alexander, gently tucking Isabella’s loose hair behind her ear, praising, "I knew this dress would look good on you!"
"What are you doing today? Why did you bring my cousin here?"
"I wanted him to be a witness."
"Hmm?"
"He barely qualifies as your family, so having him lead you here and hand you to me is somewhat fitting."
Alexander Parker was very displeased with the word "barely". Just as he was about to speak, he saw Harry Hunter take out a box and kneel on one knee, so he kept quiet.
At this important moment for his cousin, he didn’t want to cause trouble.
"Miss Weaver, will you marry me?"
Harry Hunter knelt on one knee in front of Isabella Weaver, a large pink diamond ring in the box in his hand, looking at her with intense eyes.
Isabella Weaver finally understood why he called her Miss Weaver tonight; it was to create an unmarried atmosphere and feeling!
When they visited the flower and bird market, he said he’d re-propose. She hadn’t imagined he really would!
She said she didn’t like crowds, so he didn’t propose in public, only inviting her "family" as witnesses.
"Mr. Hunter, I do. Even if you propose a hundred times, my answer would be the same."
Harry Hunter chuckled softly, "Looks like you want me to propose once every year."
As he spoke, he placed the diamond ring on Isabella Weaver’s finger.
Her left ring finger already bore the diamond ring from his first proposal, so Harry Hunter placed this one on her right ring finger.
