After Betrayal: Lightning Marriage to Mr. Enigmatic

Chapter 724 Step on Me, Step on Me, Step on Me!

Chapter 724 Step on Me, Step on Me, Step on Me!

Isabella looked at her own hands and burst into laughter, "Mr. Hunter, why do I feel like we’re such rich folks!"Harry Hunter stood up, took her hand and kissed it, "What’s wrong with being wealthy? If I wasn’t afraid you might find it tacky, I’d have ten or eight made for you, and you could fill up all ten fingers."

Alexander Parker couldn’t hold it in anymore and sneered, "Harry Hunter, are you a nouveau riche? The rich son of a coal magnate?"

Harry, in a good mood, didn’t bother with him, "You’re just jealous that I’m rich."

He held Isabella’s hand and led her downstairs, "Madam, let’s go dance. There’s a lemon over here that’s gone sour, speaking all bitterly, not nice at all."

The two lovingly and affectionately headed downstairs, embracing each other in the spacious hall on the first floor, gently swaying to the music.

If it weren’t for his family going bankrupt recently, which made Alexander mature quickly and grow more stable, he might not have been able to resist snatching her away, even though he definitely wouldn’t win against Harry Hunter.

He had been to this castle once before; the last time he came, the owner was Cherry Lewis. This time, the owner of this high-value castle had become Harry Hunter.

The castle had been renovated, more understated and luxurious. Living here, anyone would feel like a prince, as if they owned the whole world.

Alexander casually grabbed a bottle of wine, opened it, and drank it straight from the bottle.

He missed Isabella every day, but seeing her didn’t make him feel much better inside.

Not to mention, he couldn’t even come up with a diamond ring of that size to propose to her. He was so poor now, even the suit he was wearing was bought by Harry Hunter.

Wearing clothes bought by Harry made him feel deeply insulted.

Alexander tore off the bow tie, took off the suit, and leaned over the railing on the second floor, gulping down the wine.

David appeared silently behind him, knocked him out with a chop, carried him out from the other side of the castle, tossed him into a car, and instructed the driver, "Take him back to the city."

The driver acknowledged and drove the unconscious Alexander away.

Isabella, quite unfortunately, saw the moment David knocked out Alexander. Her heart skipped a beat, and she immediately asked Harry, "You didn’t kill my cousin, did you? You can’t be so cruel after using him!"

"Just knocked him out, sending him home."

Harry still minded Alexander, "You call him so intimately ’cousin’, yet I’ve never heard you call me ’brother’?"

Isabella, annoyed, stepped on his foot, "You said yourself he’s my family, so it’s perfectly reasonable to call him ’cousin’!" Calling him brother, what’s that about? Sounds weird.

"Ouch, you broke my foot!"

"Stop pretending, I just lightly stepped on it."

"Why don’t you step on Alexander Parker then? You’re all about abusing your husband."

"What’s wrong, you don’t like it? Fine, next time I’ll step on my cousin’s foot for fun, just don’t regret it!"

"No, I take it back!"

Harry quickly said, "Step on me as much as you like, from now on you can only bully me, with everyone else you stay polite!"

Isabella buried her face in his embrace, "That’s more like it."

She stepped on him without reservation because she was close enough to him, they could mess around however they pleased, whereas with others, how could she bully them so casually?

Harry held her close, kissed her hair, and asked, "Do you like it here?"

"I like it, very beautiful, very classic, very... expensive."

Harry chuckled, not expecting her to come out with that last comment.

"Then this castle is yours."
