After Betrayal: Lightning Marriage to Mr. Enigmatic

Chapter 685: Your Last Supper

Chapter 685: Your Last Supper

Natalie Niles gently hugged him. Every time he humbled himself at her feet, allowing her to trample him, she never once had the heart to step on him.She was deranged, her conscience was lost, yet she simply didn’t want to hurt him.

She slowly caressed Connor’s chiseled and handsome face, softly saying, "Fool."

Connor loved when she touched him like that, loved when she spoke like that. He held her for a long while before reluctantly letting her go, gathering the dishes to wash them in the kitchen.

Natalie just stayed right by his side, inseparable, like a girl hopelessly in love, clinging to her boyfriend.

Connor enjoyed this fleeting moment of bliss, knowing that she might change again tomorrow.

After tidying up the kitchen, he carried her back to the bedroom, held her in his arms, and they together flipped through the album Isabella Weaver gave them.

"Which one do you like?"

Natalie could tell at a glance that the styles were from Isabella, as the album’s few watches and jewelry pieces were all elegant and simple, perfect for a woman in her twenties.

Before, she would have rejected Isabella’s designs, but today, surprisingly, she felt no such repulsion.

Just thinking about Isabella designing couple watches for her and Connor made her a bit happy.

At the very least, Isabella’s taste and design standards are undeniably impeccable, calling her a genius wouldn’t be an overstatement.

"This blue dial one is nice."

Connor smiled; he also immediately picked that one, as if it was tailor-made for both of them.

Since these were new models and not yet on sale, Moonlight Jewelry would continue making adjustments, with several materials listed, probably awaiting Isabella’s final decision.

She just handed him the company’s core secrets like this, such trust felt like a heavy weight in his heart.

He looked at the woman in his arms, anxiously reminding her, "After seeing these, you’re not allowed to sell these designs to others."

Should these leak to competitors in advance, it would be a huge blow to Moonlight Jewelry.

Natalie was infuriated: "Would I dare to sell them? If I sold her designs, you’d break up with me again, such a big loss, would I be that stupid?"

"How would I know? After all, you even sold your man’s blood, what else wouldn’t you dare to sell?"

Natalie quickly fell silent, obediently holding Connor, saying nothing more.

Connor chuckled; he finally found a way to handle her.

He tightened his arms, holding her as they continued flipping through the album, "This ring looks nice, want it?"

"No."

"Buy it, you hardly have any jewelry, I see others wearing them."

"Why wear it, it’s cumbersome."

"How about these earrings? This pair of small diamonds is nice, you’d look beautiful wearing them."

"Not wearing them."

Connor reached out to touch her earlobe, noticed the two small piercings, and couldn’t help but ask, "Then why did you get your ears pierced?"

"For a mission a couple of years ago, it wasn’t voluntary."

Connor suddenly felt distressed: "Does it hurt?"

Natalie shook her head: "No, it doesn’t."

But with him feeling distressed, she felt a bit happy.

Just an ear piercing, such a small thing, yet he worried about her, making her feel cherished, treated as precious.

Unconsciously, she fell asleep in his arms, even the internal pain in her chest seemed to disappear.

She slept until dawn, waking up to find he was no longer by her side.

He probably went to Harry Hunter’s place.

She put on his big shirt, freshened up, went downstairs, and saw breakfast on the table.

In a good mood, she ate breakfast, ignoring the large group of people slowly surrounding the yard, savoring the satisfaction and fullness from the food.

A cold, harsh voice rang out: "You’d better enjoy your last meal!"
