After Betrayal: Lightning Marriage to Mr. Enigmatic

Chapter 686: No Brain or Too Arrogant?

Chapter 686: No Brain or Too Arrogant?

Natalie Niles swallowed the last bite of the meat pastry, wiped the corner of her lips, and stood up.The courtyard was densely packed with people, and she spoke icily, "Where’s Connor? With so many of you pouring in, he can’t possibly be unaware."

"He’s so strong, of course, he was already lured away. To catch you, we spent the whole night setting this up; otherwise, you should have been dead last night!"

"Who leaked the information?"

"That I can’t tell you. Blame yourself for making too many enemies; too many people can’t wait for you to die, hahaha!"

The man sneered. Although he was laughing, the seriousness in his eyes never faded.

There are very few people in the world who possess both intelligence and combat power. Most people live mediocre lives, and the few high-IQ geniuses always have significant flaws, either physically or mentally.

But the woman in front of him was an anomaly.

She possessed extremely high intelligence, profoundly cunning, able to devise lethal plots in mere moments. Accompanying her high IQ was her terrifyingly high combat power, far beyond the average person.

No one knew how she survived that massive explosion.

Logically, she shouldn’t have survived.

The KS Organization was about to assume she was dead and planned to withdraw their surveillance in a few days. Unexpectedly, yesterday someone sold them information, saying there was accurate news about Natalie Niles!

KS deployed all the available personnel, with some even rushing overnight to A City, just to take her down.

The man introduced himself, "I’m Black Panther, a level-one assassin of KS. If you’re smart, you’ll come with me honestly; behaving well is not hard if you want to survive."

Natalie Niles glanced at him indifferently, "No-name, don’t know you."

Black Panther’s face turned ugly with frustration; he was actually quite famous, at least more famous than Natalie.

Natalie Niles brought out a small remote-like device and held it in her hand, "You still have time to leave now. Later, if everyone dies, don’t say I didn’t warn you."

"Stop bluffing, who are you scaring with a car key!"

"The courtyard is rigged with explosives."

"I don’t believe it!"

"Boom!"

Natalie Niles pressed a button, an explosion rang out, followed by a chorus of wails.

Black Panther’s expression changed instantly, and he quickly withdrew from the living room: "No wonder you’ve been living here fearlessly, turns out it was all ambushed long ago!"

Natalie Niles clutched the remote, casually threw on a pair of Connor’s sweatpants, and then put on her shoes, tucking the long pant legs into short boots.

She was mismatched in dressing style, but the courtyard was silent, and no one dared to laugh at her.

KS hadn’t mobilized such a massive operation to catch one person in nearly ten years, even sending a level-one assassin like Black Panther, which was enough to prove Natalie Niles’ strength and value.

They all brought lethal weapons, but bizarrely, no one dared to use them—using them would leave uncertain who would die! Who knows how much she had buried in the villa!

Shooting her wouldn’t instantly kill her like in the movies; she had enough time to press the remote, detonating the villa.

Including Black Panther, everyone was here for money, not to risk their lives.

The situation reached a deadlock.

Finally, Natalie Niles spoke, "How about this, you send someone to fight me. If I win, you leave; if I lose, I’ll go with you."

Black Panther frowned. Is there really such a good deal?

Is she brainless or just too arrogant?

Doesn’t KS’s internal file say she’s especially smart?

Does this look smart to you?
