Chapter 1072 - 1075: Hua Hua Speaks the Truth After Drinking 3
Chenxing was completely helpless against him. Watching him sway and stagger upstairs to grab some wine, she sighed, walked into the kitchen, and decided to make him a cup of sobering tea. She also planned to cook some millet porridge, thinking that maybe after a night of drunken sleep, he would want to eat something.
She brewed the tea, rinsed the millet, placed it into the rice cooker, and set the timer. Once everything was ready, Chenxing washed her hands and stepped out of the kitchen.
There was no one in the living room. She went upstairs and found Hua Hua sitting on the floor in his bedroom.
The carpet was a luxurious and noble Arabian rug.
Chenxing walked over and saw Hua Hua flipping through photo albums.
Several photo albums, along with various other items, were scattered haphazardly in front of him.
Chenxing crouched down and tapped his arm. "Hua Hua, do you want to lie on the bed and take a nap?"
"Look how handsome my brother is," Hua Hua said, his voice slightly slurred. When he looked up, there was a faint smile on his lips. He was clearly quite drunk. Pointing to a photo of himself and Shaocheng in one of the albums, he said, "This is my favorite picture."
Chenxing sat cross-legged next to him, picked up another photo album, and casually flipped through it. Most of the photos were of Shaocheng, and judging by the angles, she guessed many of them were secretly taken.
In the past, Hua Hua had shown her a few albums, but they were all fairly conventional. Yet now, the photos in these albums were completely unfamiliar to her, truly opening her eyes.
Some of the photos captured Shaocheng’s profile as he chatted with others, while others showed his heroic figure riding a horse at full gallop. There were shots of him looking suave playing with firearms at a shooting range, napping in his study’s custom chair, or lying peacefully in his bedroom, sleeping deeply without a care. There were even candid pictures of him casually picking up food with chopsticks, his relaxed but deliberate movements, and his proper posture while playing golf. In another, he looked commanding at a casino table, confidently playing cards... The variety was endless and colorful.
One particular photo caught Chenxing’s eye. She couldn’t resist taking it out of the album. Thinking that Hua Hua might be more agreeable while drunk, she smiled sweetly and said, "Hua Hua, can you give me this photo?"
"No way!" To her surprise, a drunk Hua Hua was even more resolute.
He reached out to snatch the photo from Chenxing’s hand. "Give it back to me! Don’t touch my stuff! No one is allowed to touch anything of mine! They’re all my treasures—nobody is allowed to snoop!"
"It’s just one photo! Come on, don’t be so stingy."
"I said no, and I mean no! Anyone who dares to touch my things—I’ll cut ties with them!" Hua Hua lunged forward and snatched the photo out of Chenxing’s hand. He treated it like a priceless treasure, carefully returning it to the photo album.
The next second, he even collapsed onto the floor, using his body to shield the photo albums and other scattered items on the rug, as if afraid someone would steal them. Chenxing could only stare at him speechlessly.
She poked him playfully and teased, "Fine, fine. No need to be so petty, you little miser. You’re drunk. Go lie down for a bit. I’ve made you some sobering tea. I’ll go get it for you."
Hua Hua pursed his lips without saying a word, glaring at Chenxing warily as if she were a thief.
She let out a snort, stood up from the floor, and walked out of his bedroom, heading downstairs to fetch the sobering tea before returning.
By the time she got back, he was already lying on the lounge chair on the balcony. Beneath him was a cushion made of premium fox fur. He lay there comfortably, clutching several photo albums to his chest, gazing woozily at the drifting clouds in the sky.
