"I have a plan," Mirenda said with a smile.
"Whatever you have in mind, count me in. You have my full support," Henry said.
"Hey, Babe, wait and hear the plan I have first," Mirenda said giggling.
"I trust you so I am in," Henry said and lay down on the bed next to her.
Mirenda was sitting on the bed with her back resting on the headboard
"Okay, it's late. Let's start planning something tomorrow," Henry suggested and Mirenda agreed with him.
She repositioned herself to lie down on the bed. Henry kissed the top of her head and wrapped his arms around her. She nestled into his arms.
The next day, Mirenda was at Jason's house as early as 8 a.m.
"Wow, since when did you become a morning person," Jason asked seeing Mirenda in his apartment.
"Eerhhh, I am leaving with Henry," Mirenda replied.
"Hmmm, I see," replied Jason watching her move towards the dining area.
"I can see Henry changed a lot of things but left your morning coffee habit," Jason commented.
"That is stuck with me forever. Anyway, now that you know what I was looking for, where can I find it? You know I want to prepare it myself," Mirenda said looking at Jason with puppy eyes.
"Alex," Jason called out and the servant quickly entered the living room.
"Please take her to the kitchen, and get her everything she will request," Jason instructed and Alex left with Mirenda.
Jason's gaze went upstairs feeling a little worried about Julia. Peter had already left for Paradise Hotel. He was getting ready to leave for Wellington's company. He decided to check up on Julia one more time before leaving. He went up to their bedroom and found the bed empty when he entered. He saw Julia a few seconds later coming out of the bedroom looking pale. He frowned, seeing her look like she was sick.
"Are you okay? Jason asked as he watched her climb back into bed.
"I don't know. I think I am coming down with something. I feel a little dizzy and nauseous," Julia complained and laid her head on the pillow.
"Nausea is morning sickness. Dizziness, could she be pregnant?" Jason thought. "Let me get Dr Andesh to come over," he suggested and Julia nodded.
He picked up his phone from the table and called Dr Andesh informing her of Julia's situation. She agreed to come over and check on her.
"Mirenda is here. Let me check up on her, I will be back," Jason said and Julia nodded.
Jason returned to the living room to find Mirenda relaxing on the sofa with her cup of coffee in hand sipping it gently.
"Hey, where is Julia?" Mirenda asked as she was the reason why she had come in the first place.
"She is in bed. She is not feeling well," Jason replied.
"Sorry to hear that. What is wrong with her?" Mirenda asked with concern.
"I am not sure but I have called Dr Andesh," Jason replied.
Mirenda instantly became worried and her expression changed but it quickly turned into a smile making Jason frown wondering what was making her smile. He didn't have to wait for long as Mirenda quickly asked a question.
"Are we getting a small and cute version of you in 9 months?" Mirenda asked with a smile.
"Huh!" Jason reacted.
"Congratulations. I can assure you she is pregnant. Wanna bet?" Mirenda asked.
"Okay, 5 bucks if she is pregnant," Jason said doubting if Julia was pregnant.
Since they met again, he had only been intimate with her once. She couldn't possibly be pregnant, could she? This was the thought running through Jason's mind as he agreed to Mirenda's bet.
"You got yourself a deal dear brother," Mirenda replied with a wide grin making her look funny.
Dr Andesh walked in after a knock and was ushered to the living room by Mary as she carried her medical bag.
"I will be back Mirenda," Jason excused himself and took Dr Andesh to the bedroom.
Dr Andesh asked Julia a few questions and examined her.
"Congratulations Jason. Your wife is pregnant. I will prescribe some medicine to help with the nausea," Dr Andesh said and Jason raised an eyebrow surprised.
"I am pregnant?" Julia asked sitting on the bed with her back resting on the back headboard.
"Yes, you are. Judging from the time of your last cycle, you could be two weeks pregnant," Dr Andesh said to Julia and turned her gaze to Jason.
"You can bring her to the hospital tomorrow. I need to run a few tests on her. For now, let her rest," Dr Andesh said and stood to her feet.
"Okay," Jason replied and walked towards Julia as Dr Andesh saw herself out of the room.
He sat on the bed next to her and kissed her forehead. He placed his hand on her belly and smiled.
"Our baby is back," Jason said and Julia smiled lowering her head shyly.
He lifted her head and kissed her lips.
"I love you, Julia," Jason said to her after the kiss looking into her eyes.
"I love you more," Julia replied and smiled.
"You heard the doctor, get some rest, I will get Mary to get you some soup," Jason said and helped her lay back down on the bed before leaving the room.
"Well?" asked Mirenda excitedly upon seeing Jason return to the living room.
Jason said nothing and fetched five bucks from his pocket and handed it to Mirenda who happily collected the money screaming with joy. She runs up the stairs to Jason's room to see Julia still screaming. Jason knew there was no stopping Mirenda when she was excited so he decided to let her be. He called his dad on the phone.
"Hello Dad," Jason said.
"Hello son, how are you?" Mr Wellington asked.
"I am good. I would have to work from home today. I need to stay with Julia," Jason said to him.
"Okay that is fine but hope Julia is fine?" Mr Wellington asked with concern.
"She is fine. Ermm, she is going to have a baby," Jason said feeling a bit awkward announcing such on the phone.
"That is good news, I am going to be a grandfather," Mr Wellington said excitedly.
"Yes, Dad," Jason replied and smiled.
"I wish your mum was alive to see this day," Mr Wellington said sounding sad.
"I believe wherever she is now, Dad, she is happy and already knows about this good news," Jason consoled.
"Yeah, you are right. Take care of her. I will take care of all your schedules today. I will pass by later this evening," said Mr Wellington.
Jason ended the call and went back upstairs to the bedroom. He opened the door gently and leaned on the door frame folding his arms across his chest with a smile watching happy Mirenda hugging Julia on the bed.
He remembered the soup and sent a message to Mary to prepare soup for Julia.
