Wizard: Starting from the Skill Tree

Chapter 655: Intelligence

Chapter 655: Intelligence

"Pleasant cooperation, Duke!" Oliver appeared more enthusiastic. "As the first part of our agreement, here is the information you need."

He took out another smaller, but clearly more intricate deep blue crystal from his pocket and pushed it in front of Duke.

"Inside is the most detailed known intelligence summary regarding the Elf Plane at present. It includes basic environmental parameters, the operational cycles of the three moons—Spirit, Ilistree, and Shar—and their impact on energy tides, the main clans of dark elves, their distribution and power system analysis, a roughly mapped distribution of the Moon Well, and the current location and controlled area of the empire’s expeditionary force bridgehead. Additionally, there is contact information and infrastructure introduction for the Star Dome Commerce Association’s forward base in the Darkmoon Town within the battle zone."

Duke scanned the crystal lightly with his spiritual power, confirmed its vast and orderly content, definitely not something perfunctory, and put it away.

"Very well, when can the Energy Well be delivered?"

"It has been arranged with the highest priority for shipment and final rune calibration," Oliver replied. "Because it is a complete finished product and needs to match with an exclusive stable anchoring base, it will take about three days for final integration and packaging. It will be delivered directly to your designated secure address, usually your suite at the Silent Corridor Hotel, under my personal escort."

"Then, see you in three days. I need to first take a look at this intelligence data," Duke stood up.

"No problem, Duke. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me. Your Energy Well will be delivered on time in three days," Oliver also stood up to bid farewell, with a charming smile, "and I look forward to our formal cooperation in the Elf Plane."

Duke declined the Commerce Association’s offer of a small airship ride and left alone.

After leaving the Star Dome Commerce Association, the hustle and bustle of Goldstream City surrounded him once more.

Duke returned to the Silent Corridor Hotel alone and immediately immersed his mind into the deep blue intelligence crystal.

Vast streams of information poured into his mind, a dark, serene world, yet under the moonlight contained infinite vitality and danger, began to unfold before his eyes.

The three moons endowed the place with complex light and dark rules and energy tides; the dark elves are graceful yet deadly forest sovereigns, and the Moon Wells are like enticing pearls guarded tightly within the dark forests.

Three days passed quickly as Duke deeply analyzed the Elf Plane intelligence and specifically ordered special materials from several professional shops in Goldstream City through his thought process hub.

On the morning of the fourth day, Oliver knocked on the hotel suite door at the Silent Corridor promptly.

Behind him followed four guards dressed in Star Dome Commerce Association uniforms, exuding rigorous aura, paired in groups of two, collectively carrying two rectangular sealed metal boxes covered with heavy dustproof velvet, approximately two meters long, one meter wide, and one meter high.

The boxes appeared exceptionally heavy, engraved with complex buffering and energy isolation runes on the surface, and precise mechanical locks on the edges.

"Mr. Duke, the main devices of the four elemental energy wells you ordered have safely arrived," Oliver’s voice was more solemn than usual, he gestured for the guards to lay the boxes gently in the spacious area of the living room, "The Energy Well is not a portable item; its core conversion matrix, rune board, and stable outer shell constitute a substantial integrated system. To facilitate your transportation and final installation, we have prepared a complementary solution for you."

He first indicated opening one of the metal boxes.

The box lid opened, inside was densely packed flexible cushioning material, embedding four parallel dark silver metal briefcases at its center.

These briefcases were larger than ordinary briefcases, with a streamlined design, smooth surface with only a slightly concave authentication area.

"This is a specially crafted spatial transport box," Oliver picked up one and explained, "It is not an ordinary spatial equipment; within it, a highly stable subspace anchored to the physical structure of the box persists. It is specifically used for safely loading large devices such as Energy Wells, which have intricate structures and extremely high energy activity. Each box corresponds to an Energy Well, pre-loaded and balanced calibration has been conducted."

He let Duke inject a trace of spiritual power into the box’s authentication area.

The box’s surface flashed with flowing light, emitting a slight humming, and then the lid automatically slid open upwards.

Inside was not a solid object, but a steadily rotating vortex of miniature space, shimmering with corresponding elemental glow.

Through the vortex, the outline of a complex three-dimensional device, the main body of the Energy Well displayed in miniaturized form, could be vaguely seen floating quietly; though its full appearance wasn’t visible, the grandeur of its structure and the vastness of its energy could be felt.

"The main device within is absolutely safe and stable. When you are ready to construct the Energy Well, you will need to reverse the procedure in the selected, fully reinforced, and ritual-prepared location to release it. It will automatically restore to full scale and enter a standby activation state."

Oliver explained in detail, "The complementary stable anchoring base is another component, included with the box. It is also a not-small set of rune metal components used to fix and connect the Energy Well."

Following his instructions, Duke inspected the other three transport boxes, confirming their space state stability and matching the contract description attributes of wind, earth, water, and fire precisely.

These boxes were highly technical, valuable in themselves.

"Then, the final payment..." After Duke confirmed everything was correct, he looked at Oliver.

"According to the contract, deducting the paid intention deposit, the remaining amount is 38 million Magic Stones," Oliver stated.

Duke then took out a Magic Stone card and directly paid the pending amount, only then Oliver checked and accepted the Magic Stones, and signed several receipt-related documents.

"Transaction completed successfully," Oliver stored away the vouchers, his attitude even more affable, "Mr. Duke, regarding the Elf Plane, our Commerce Association’s forward base in Darkmoon Town has initially established its footing. Latest intelligence shows that the Imperial Army is advancing towards the Shadow Song Canyon area, where it is rumored there are several ancient Moon Wells. Should you prepare to set off, you may contact our person in charge at Darkmoon Town through this channel; he will be responsible for all your affairs concerning your trip to the Elf Plane."

He handed Duke a small encrypted communication stone engraved with the Star Dome emblem.

This is the Star Dome Commerce Association’s internal communication means, called Star Dome Stone; many factions have their exclusive communication methods.

After all, the Wizard’s Mark is just a universal communication means for the Wizard Plane, unsuitable for some confidential communications required within some factions.

The Black Sail also has the Black Sail Badge; some internal private notifications and messages are conveyed through the Black Sail Badge, not through the Wizard’s Mark channel.

Duke received the Star Dome Stone, which was his exclusive possession, usable only with his spiritual power imprint.
