Chapter 885: His First Kiss

Chapter 885: His First Kiss

Finally, despite being well-bred and well-mannered since childhood, he couldn’t resist the temptation and lowered his head, gently kissing her.It wasn’t a kiss on the forehead, nor on the cheek, but a gentle kiss on her lips.

Henry Dales, who was reputed for his upbringing and manners, would never take advantage of a girl.

Yet he did it now.

In front of the girl he loved, the gentleman Henry Dales turned into a rogue.

When the kiss landed, Henry’s heart raced.

This was his first time kissing a girl.

Even though it was in her unaware state, even though it was just a peck like a dragonfly skimming the water, his heart was still pounding.

Admittedly, it’s a bit embarrassing, but it truly was his first kiss.

"Scarlett, sleep tight. When you wake up, I’ll make you breakfast."

Having never lifted a finger in household chores, Young Master Dales spent a few months in another country, and learned to cook.

He learned to make fried eggs, sandwiches, pan-fried bacon, steak, pasta, and could also whip up a couple of small dishes.

But Rosie Wood knew none of this.

As his fiancée, she never knew that her noble-born fiancé could actually cook, and quite well at that.

Nor did she know that Henry had purchased another property in Fort City.

In fact, Rosie knew very little of Henry Dales’ secrets.

For instance, the few buttons Henry had tossed into the pool outside the window weren’t really thrown away.

Henry had merely played a little magic trick before her, a trick to make small objects disappear in the blink of an eye, which he learned in just half an hour.

--

When Scarlett Yates woke up, it was exactly eight o’clock in the morning.

Henry was cooking in the kitchen.

Although the kitchen door was tightly closed, an enticing aroma still wafted from the gap.

Scarlett’s mind went blank for a whole minute, then like a cat with its tail stepped on, she suddenly leapt out of bed.

Where is this place?

Her memory lingered at the point where someone forcibly injected her with an unknown liquid.

Then she lost consciousness.

And when she opened her eyes again, she saw this unfamiliar room.

Obviously, it was a man’s room, very clean and tidy, with a faint fragrance in the air.

Scarlett took a few deep breaths, finding the room’s scent somewhat familiar.

Her clothes had been changed into a slightly revealing nightgown, with a large and low neckline.

The nightgown was large, hanging loosely on her.

She kept tugging the collar back until it looked relatively normal, then she relaxed her grip.

Scarlett felt very conflicted.

She woke up on a man’s bed, her clothes changed, and she had no idea what had happened while she was unconscious.

Though her body felt normal, in this unfamiliar and unknown setting, she still felt a tinge of fear and confusion.

She stepped onto the thick carpet to the bedroom door and, after opening it a crack, heard sounds coming from a certain direction. Creeping out of the bedroom, she realized the noise was coming from the kitchen.

Someone was cooking in the kitchen.

Scarlett’s heart was racing.

She slowly, step by step, moved to the kitchen door.

Then, she pressed her ear against the door, listening to the movements inside.
