Chapter 141: The Deterrent Power of the First Succubus Among the Stars, Bai Fu Sweeps Across the Six Directions
8 p.m., prime time.
After receiving Bai Fu’s instructions, the producer Igor and the Excavation‑Princess from the film company announced, at the same time, the truth about the world war and the Cataclysm that took place a hundred years ago.
Whether it was within the Player Community or across various regions of Origin Star that could receive television and radio signals, the disclosure of the truth sparked tremendous shock.
But Players were still Players—what grand scenes had they not witnessed?
They could play as a war god cutting through a mythological world, or play as a magical girl deliberately losing to tentacles and freaks for humiliation. With so much experience, they naturally wouldn't be startled by a plot revelation of this level.
What caught the Players’ attention was that Origin Star’s main storyline had finally branched out with new content—and that the truth revealed by the Excavation‑Princess mentioned Extraterrestrial Visitors and an Alien Ship.
【There’s an Alien Ship—could this be our ticket to the universe?】
【Now that you say it, that might actually be the case. Is version 1.3 going to launch a space storyline? So hyped!】
【Wait, bro, we're still helping the Hero investigate the case, we don't even know who the big BOSS is yet, and you're already flying off to space?】
Players on Origin Star were elated, while Players on other Beginner Planets were completely confused.
Were Origin Star Players eating way too well?
From the Garden of Silence publicly recruiting Players and offering all sorts of premium services, to main quests being spoon-fed to them—wow, this damn Developer must be the grandson of Origin Star’s Players. If he’s so filial, why not just launch a summer event just for Origin Star and release a swimsuit skin for Fu-fu in it as fanservice?
Especially after the Excavation‑Princess released a second analysis video about Bai Fu’s true identity, some Players got even more emotional.
【Didn’t everyone speculate before that Fu-fu was the Sovereign of the Shadowed Night?】
In the video, the Excavation‑Princess first laid out the opinions of other Players. Then she recounted the findings of the Calamity Dragon, followed by a detailed comparison between Bai Fu and other NPCs, and finally presented her conclusion.
【I’m 95% confident that Fu-fu is the Sovereign of the Shadowed Night. What’s missing to make up the last 5% is just one critical piece of evidence—】
【That is Fu-fu’s race. If she’s an Extraterrestrial Visitor, then everything connects perfectly. Unfortunately, Calamity Dragon-jie’s detection skill level is still too low, so she can’t see Fu-fu’s race.】
The voice of the Excavation‑Princess was filled with regret.
【Actually, at this point, we’ve already gathered quite a bit of intel on Fu-fu. Now we can boldly hypothesize her background story under the premise that she is the Sovereign of the Shadowed Night.】
In front of the camera, the Excavation‑Princess fully exercised her talent for making things up, misleading the viewers with a straight face.
According to her, the Garden of Silence was once a universe-scale faction that moved through the shadows, and Bai Fu held a prestigious position within it.
【Fu-fu may have been born on that Beginner Planet called Indigo Star, or maybe she just stayed there for a while due to certain circumstances. In any case, she gained divine fame there, and because of her unique traits, people referred to her as the demon god—the Sovereign of the Shadowed Night. This part of the story is worth digging into, but since I can’t go to Indigo Star now, let’s shelve it for the time being.】
The Excavation‑Princess went on and on, until finally breaking the hearts of Indigo Star Players watching the screen.
So Fu-fu originally started out on Indigo Star?
If it weren’t for all the twists and turns, didn’t that mean there was a high chance Fu-fu could still be on Indigo Star right now? If so, then the treatment between them and the Players of Origin Star would’ve been reversed—they’d be the ones enjoying the perks of the Garden of Silence, and Origin Star Players would be the ones enviously lurking in the Community.
【Raaaahhhh—】
【I’m furious—who the hell chased Fu-fu off Indigo Star and sent her to Origin Star?】
【I’ll kill their horse! Better not let me find out who did it!】
【Fu-fu, my Fu-fu, my Hei Fu in black stockings, why did you run off to that broken place called Origin Star?】
【I can’t take it anymore—I’m going to investigate this matter thoroughly. From today on, I’m abandoning my original faction and becoming a follower of the Sovereign of the Shadowed Night.】
Then something miraculous happened.
A call from the other side of the universe led quite a few Players on Indigo Star to abandon their original factions and join a small faction that worshipped the Sovereign of the Shadowed Night.
This action made Indigo Star’s Psionicists even more convinced that the Players were summoned by the Sovereign of the Shadowed Night. In turn, the reaction of Indigo Star’s Psionicists further convinced the Players that Bai Fu had indeed originated from there—and so began a bewildering game of cat-and-mouse between the two sides.
"……"
Watching the Players from Indigo Star losing their minds in the Community, Bai Fu was stunned for a long moment.
Was this even possible?
She pressed her hand against her chest, feeling a little short of breath.
The Players from Indigo Star were this desperate—if she had the power to travel to Indigo Star right now, she wouldn’t need to go through all the effort of charming Players like she did on Origin Star. All she’d have to do was stand there, and the Indigo Star Players would voluntarily hand over all the XP they had painstakingly accumulated, letting her gorge herself in one go.
"Too bad!"
Seeing that a bunch of Players well-versed in 『The Self-Cultivation of Chives』 were waiting for her, yet she could do nothing, Bai Fu felt a heartache as if even the last drop of bitter tea had been lost.
"Once I get to the starry skies, I must find a way to learn the locations of other Beginner Planets. Then, before the Players on those planets leave their beginner stages, I’ll seize the chance to harvest hard. Otherwise, wouldn’t I have failed my title as a Succubus?"
Since she was already being called a Succubus, she couldn’t just eat vegetarian—no meat at all?
Bai Fu shut down the Community, then turned on the broadcast. While listening to Igor’s denunciation of the Gene Primordials on the radio, she asked Anya and Gao Yuan to investigate the outside reaction.
"Mr. Igor, is everything you said really true? It’s not that I don’t believe you, it’s just that the information you revealed is too shocking. This has been a secret for a hundred years!"
"Of course it’s true. I know very well that once I reveal this truth, I become a thorn in the side of the Gene Primordials. The Gene Primordials are one of the Five Major Factions, while I’m just a lowly producer. I have no power to oppose the Gene Primordials, but my conscience doesn’t allow me to stay silent. Origin Star has suffered for a hundred years. Every person on Origin Star deserves to know what caused our suffering!"
"Mr. Igor, you are a hero."
"A hero? No, I’m not a hero. I’m merely lighting the way for one!"
"From what Mr. Igor said, it sounds like another hero made a great contribution to exposing the crimes of the Gene Primordials. Could you reveal that hero’s information?"
"I could, but not now. Don’t misunderstand, I’m not trying to be mysterious. You all know how unusual the Gene Primordials are. I will announce that hero’s name at the appropriate time. Then, you’ll understand why I can’t say it now."
Igor and the interview host went back and forth, revealing the truth like storytellers, trampling on the Gene Primordials, and successfully piquing the curiosity of viewers and listeners.
Who exactly was that "hero"? Was that person truly a hero?
Some audience members still doubted Igor’s words, but quite a few believed them immediately.
In the past year, negative news about the Gene Primordials had been endless—secret research on Mutant technology, secret technology to erase human memory. Each event alone might not seem like a big deal, but when combined, the scent of conspiracy grew thick.
"Damn it, these bastards—if not for them, how could Origin Star have become polluted? If Origin Star hadn’t been polluted, my sister, she..."
"These years, I’ve been hiding from Mutant Creatures and lost a hand. So it was all the Gene Primordials’ fault!"
Feedback from Gao Yuan and Anya showed that the resentment from Scavengers and residents of small settlements on Origin Star was especially intense. Without the protection of major factions, who knew how much hardship they’d endured and how much hatred had built up since birth?
But now, a very real problem stood before them.
Even if they knew the current situation was caused by the Gene Primordials and their predecessors, it didn’t mean much.
Gene Primordials: ㄴI’m proud. So what can you do?ㄴ
And truly, they couldn’t do anything. The Gene Primordials were too powerful. Even if they bet everything, they might not be able to harm a single high-ranking Gene Primordials official—unless some powerful force stepped up to lead them in battle.
But could there be such a force?
Even knowing the Gene Primordials were hiding Extraterrestrial Visitors, the Human Alliance, Railway Guild, and Old Republic probably wouldn’t be willing to fire the first shot.
"Isn’t that what I’m here for?"
Upon receiving the message, Bai Fu laughed.
Three and a half days had passed since her Psionic Link with Yulia.
After arranging everything, she led a large number of Players out of the Goli Desert, heading east, arriving near the Gene Primordials. One day earlier, she had the Players split into 500 units, advancing on the Gene Primordials’ capital Haidu and various military camps from all directions.
Now, aside from a few Players who had not yet reached their designated positions, most were already in place, waiting only for her order to launch a full-scale assault on the Gene Primordials.
"Find a way to get information on the Gene Primordials’ movements."
Bai Fu issued a new quest to Sword Qi Soaring.
Receiving the quest, Sword Qi Soaring quickly contacted their guild’s undercover agent within the Gene Primordials.
…
At the same time, Gene Primordials, Haidu garrison camp.
Pombaton had just lit a cigarette when his adjutant burst through the door.
"General, something big has happened! A Railway Guild TV station suddenly aired explosive news on both its television and radio channels…"
He recounted everything he had just seen.
As Pombaton’s adjutant, he naturally knew that what Igor said was true. Even if it were false, the sudden release of such information would still severely damage the Gene Primordials.
"What?"
Pombaton’s body stiffened, the cigarette falling from his mouth.
Seconds later, anger surged across his face.
These past few days, he had been discussing with the other members of the Seven-Person Council how to suppress or even kill Bai Fu before fully reviving that Extraterrestrial Visitor. For this, they had come up with many underhanded tactics.
These tactics included smearing Bai Fu, sowing discord, and economic sanctions. Specific measures included but were not limited to: ▷Spreading rumors that Bai Fu and Yulia were involved to undermine Bai Fu’s righteousness in destroying the Truth Society▷, ▷Spreading rumors that Bai Fu and Su Li were involved to damage her relations with the Railway Guild▷, ▷Framing Bai Fu as the mastermind behind the attack on the Old Republic’s capital to stir conflict between the two sides▷.
Who would’ve thought that before they could act, some blind fool would land a heavy punch.
Pombaton no longer had the mood to deal with Bai Fu: "Who put him up to this? How did he get this intel? The Railway Guild—could it be them? Investigate… No, capture him first. We must identify this ‘hero’ he mentioned!"
He was anxious.
If this was really sanctioned by the Railway Guild, then things were about to escalate.
The adjutant quickly mobilized spies embedded in the Railway Guild. Not long after, bad news came back—Igor had aired a prerecorded broadcast. When the Gene Primordials' agents stormed the TV station, they found only a few Undying Ones. The agents gained nothing and even exposed their identities.
Igor had now become the focus of Origin Star’s attention. When the Railway Guild’s officials heard that the TV station he was associated with had been attacked, they turned pale and immediately dispatched elite agents to arrest the infiltrating Gene Primordials spies. As soon as the capture was successful, they issued a public statement distancing themselves from the agents.
Though the Railway Guild did not name names, their spokesperson presented a variety of evidence subtly implying the agents were sent by the Gene Primordials.
Now things had truly worsened—the already foul reputation of the Gene Primordials was blown straight into the planet’s core.
Gene Primordials’ old geezers—your mama’s gone!
Some who had originally doubted Igor’s words also joined in the barrage of insults against the Gene Primordials.
"Scum!"
Blindsided, Pombaton nearly passed out from rage, but he still ordered the capture of Igor. Since their reputation was already ruined, the top priority now was to uncover the mastermind behind it all to ensure future retaliation.
"You stay and watch things here."
Pombaton handed over the garrison camp to his adjutant and drove straight to the Haidu signal tower.
Beneath the tower was a hidden door. Behind it lay a massive underground base fifty years in the making. There, he met the remaining six members of the Seven-Person Council who had already received the news, along with the soul of the Lord floating in the Room of Return.
"What do we do now?" one of them asked.
The man who had once faced the Truth Society President head-on and appeared on the official game website sneered, “Just a motley crew. No matter how loud they scream, it won’t affect us in the slightest. Lord Fragment Star said he’s already found the most suitable body. In at most a month, he’ll fully recover. By then, once he activates that spaceship, not even everyone on Origin Star combined could stop us!”
“Seriously?”
“Where did Lord Fragment Star find a suitable vessel?”
The man replied, “That Artificial Human adopted by Xia Shude. She appeared completely unremarkable during the training camp, so none of us paid attention to her. If she hadn’t been caught stealing files, we’d have never discovered her compatibility with Lord Fragment Star was as high as 92.4%. I’ve already arranged for someone to brainwash her. Once successful, we can erase her consciousness.”
This statement sparked cheers from everyone present, including Pombaton.
“In that case, no one on Origin Star can stop us!”
“The Railway Guild has constantly been causing us trouble. This time it’s their people again. When Lord Fragment Star revives, we’ll start with them.”
“Better start with that Bai Fu. Don’t know where that mutt popped out from, but daring to go against us? I’ll capture her alive and make her suffer every humiliation imaginable!”
The man with a clear leader’s aura smiled as he looked around.
He found their noise annoying.
So what if they captured Bai Fu? Just a mere woman, meaningless.
Better to use Fragment Star’s power to break free from the shallow waters of Origin Star and step into that boundless starry world to seek true transcendence!
Pombaton said, “In that case, I’ll inform my lieutenant to halt his actions for now.”
He activated his terminal to contact his lieutenant.
“You…”
As soon as he spoke, his lieutenant’s voice came through in a panic.
“General, something major has happened! Six military camps at the border were attacked simultaneously! The frontline is urgently requesting reinforcements, saying the pressure is even greater than the Truth Society’s last assault!”
“What?”
Pombaton was stunned. For some reason, a bad feeling suddenly rose in his heart.
This time, his hunch was right.
…
“If there are any issues, consult Anya. If Anya can’t decide, contact Niesen and Sean.”
Bai Fu issued new battle orders to the Players.
She had arranged everything; now all she had to do was wait for the flames to engulf the entire Gene Primogenitor.
Since her arrival in this world, it had been nearly a year, and this was Bai Fu’s first time fighting from a position of wealth.
The Gene Primogenitors were strong on Origin Star and numerous, but the number of troops they could mobilize at once paled in comparison to the number of Players under her command. And her advantages didn’t stop there.
Thanks to her continuous propaganda and allure, the Players of the Gene Primogenitors were already mentally shaken and inclined to defect. Moreover, after Igor exposed the atrocities of the Gene Primogenitors, many who held deep grudges against them rushed into their territory immediately—this included assassins, powerful Wanderers, groups of Scavengers, and remnants of the Truth Society. When all these forces acted together, they formed a formidable power.
Once the multi-pronged forces attacked the Gene Primogenitors, a shocking and terrifying force erupted instantly.
“Witness the strength I’ve been preparing for so long!”
In the temporary command center Bai Fu had set up, Anya stared intently at the footage transmitted by Tiny Bai Fu, now able to fly dozens of meters high after being leveled up with XP.
“Team 1, attack from the left—18 enemies are hiding behind the rocks. Team 2, advance toward the steel frames in the front-right—there are 20 to 30 Undying Ones there. You… new update, Team 2 no longer needs to attack. The Undying Ones from the Gene Primogenitors have already raised the white flag!”
Anya issued precise orders one after another.
It wasn’t hard for her. With her enhanced mental stats, she could easily grasp the battlefield situation. Bai Fu had already planned the broader strategy—Anya only needed to call out positions and direct the Players to advance toward fixed targets.
Under her command, the Players using full-map hacks advanced steadily, encountering almost no resistance.
Times had changed. Most Players were now in their teens level-wise, and a few had even surpassed level 20. Their individual combat ability far outmatched that of ordinary Gene Primogenitor soldiers. Only elite special forces and agents posed any threat, and even then, only a minor one.
A level-30 Agent?
Sure, very strong. One-on-one, even one-on-ten, they could easily dominate. But what if we sent a hundred Players between levels 10 to 20, all armed with heaps of Prayer Cards bought from the Celebration Event’s lottery?
A volley of Penetrating Spears launched, swift as rapid-fire rockets. Beneath the dazzling Light Spears, one by one, sinister [Ghosts] charged forward, exploding upon nearing their targets.
Facing such reckless bombardment from Players, even a level-35 or 40 Agent had to think twice about whether they could survive.
Sweep, sweep, and more sweep!
In just half an hour, the Player unit led by Sword Qi Soaring and the Iron Rain Guild had already captured the Gene Primogenitor’s first military camp. The speed shocked the Loyalty Hall Guild’s Players into a frenzy and left Pombaton and others in distant Haidu dumbstruck.
But this was only the beginning of a string of disasters.
“Order the reinforcements to turn back and head to—”
“Bad news, General! The reinforcements were ambushed halfway by remnants of the Truth Society and suffered heavy losses!”
“What?”
“Bad news, General! The second camp has also been taken! The attackers are still the Undying Ones!”
“Bad news… our deployed agents encountered an assassination by Red Bear, ranked tenth on the Dark Web—no remains were found!”
“Bad news… the Old Republic has refused our request for aid!”
“All six camps have fallen!”
“Lynn Settlement is under attack. Division Four just sent a message questioning whether the Cataclysm was really caused by us!”
“We’ve lost contact with White Birch Settlement. They’re likely maintaining radio silence on purpose, trying to observe how things play out!”
In the underground base, from the initial shock to now, in just a few hours, Pombaton and the others had grown numb from the lieutenant’s urgent reports.
Overnight, it seemed like no place under the Gene Primogenitors was spared from attack. While not every area had fallen like the initial six camps, the situation was already extremely dangerous.
The last thing they received was a distress signal from the lieutenant.
“Bad news, General! The garrison camp has also been atta—boom!”
A powerful explosion drowned out the lieutenant’s voice, cutting off communication entirely.
Bang!
Pombaton smashed his terminal to the ground, shattering it to pieces.
A high-ranking Gene Primogenitor member twisted his face in horror and screamed.
“She’s here, that Succubus!”
“It must be her! Bai Fu! No one but her could mobilize so many Undying Ones!”
"Stop shouting. What’s the point? I’ll go arrange city defenses and try to keep her outside Haidu. You all hurry and transfer all important personnel and items to the underground base. The base has been specially fortified—Bai Fu won’t be able to find us even if she breaks in. As long as we hold out until Lord Fragment Star revives, whether it’s Bai Fu or Hei Fu, they’ll both die!"
Pombaton roared and stormed out of the underground base in fury.
After his departure, the rest of the Seven-Person Council moved into action. What Pombaton said wasn’t wrong—they really had nothing to fear.
As long as Lord Fragment Star revived, even if the entire Gene Primogenitor collapsed before that, it didn’t matter. They could rebuild a new nation on the wasteland at any time.
This time, they wouldn’t just be council members—they would be the kings of the new nation, free to do whatever they pleased!
In reality, the Gene Primogenitor attack shook not only the Gene Primogenitors themselves but also every faction and person on Origin Star who received the news.
No one expected a full assault on the Gene Primogenitor to happen so soon after Igor’s exposé—and certainly not for it to be so devastating.
"It’s Bai Fu!"
"So the hero Igor mentioned was Bai Fu? No wonder he didn’t reveal the name—he didn’t want to expose Bai Fu’s whereabouts!"
"First she slayed the Truth Society President, then she exposed and punished the crimes of the Gene Primogenitors—she’s practically a superhero!"
"Forget being the queen of the underworld, just become the Queen of Origin Star!"
Bai Fu’s reputation on Origin Star surged once more. She was now not only the sole protagonist but the only protagonist.
Many NPCs, inspired by her, voluntarily headed to Gene Primogenitor territory to contribute to the cause of its eradication. Others grew more fearful of her.
If Bai Fu could treat the Gene Primogenitor like this today, could she do the same to them tomorrow?
The Old Republic was under immense pressure. They wanted to act, but after racking their brains for a long time, they despairingly realized there was nothing they could do.
They couldn’t think of any way to eliminate Bai Fu without taking on high risk. Even secretly coordinating with the Gene Primogenitors to attack Bai Fu from both sides wouldn’t work—Bai Fu was too powerful, and her Undying Ones were literally unkillable. Though they became slightly weaker after resurrection, it had no short-term impact on the big picture.
The Old Republic gave up trying, hoping only that the Gene Primogenitors could hold out a bit longer.
The Railway Guild and Human Alliance were calmer than the Old Republic—but only a bit. Bai Fu’s sudden emergence made them realize the world’s situation was about to change dramatically. Would Origin Star eventually become a place where all bowed before Queen Fu?
"Bai Fu, you..."
Su Li urgently contacted Bai Fu. She wanted to say something, but at the critical moment, she couldn’t form a complete sentence.
Besides shock, what else could she feel?
"Relax. I’m not interested in founding the Nation of Bai Fu and turning you all into my maids and guards. Just tell your superior that. I’ve got serious business to handle."
Bai Fu ended the conversation with Su Li.
"Let’s move out!"
Bringing along Hei Fu, a group of Tiny Hei Fus, a group of Tiny Bai Fus, and high-level Players like Starfish‑bro, Bai Fu launched a direct assault on Haidu’s garrison camp.
To Players, the Haidu garrison was a high-difficulty outdoor combat zone, with a recommended total level of 35. But to Bai Fu, that was nothing—even just her Psionic Class had reached total level 50.
Thirty-five?
A max-level Sky Burial came crashing down from the sky, wiping out over a hundred gathered defenders at the front line. Immediately after, five enhanced Void Energy Orbs swept through, and within seconds, the still-breathing Gene Primogenitor defenders were finished off.
Seizing the opening Bai Fu created, Players surged into the garrison. Screams rang out. A few Psionicists ambushed from the shadows to try and assassinate Bai Fu, but she didn’t even bother to move her feet—just raised her hand, unleashing several Psionic Bursts, which, paired with Penetrating Spears thrown by Tiny Hei Fus, blasted these BOSS-level Psionicists to bits in the Players’ eyes.
"Surrender and you live. Resist and you die!"
With Players shouting and Bai Fu and Hei Fu slaughtering without mercy, some inside the garrison broke down mentally. They dropped their weapons, held their heads, and squatted on the ground awaiting their fate.
True to her word, Bai Fu didn’t kill them. She walked through the garrison, executing only the diehards.
Still supporting the Gene Primogenitors at this point? If you don’t die, who will?
After fully capturing the garrison, Bai Fu set her next target: Haidu.
Under Pombaton’s command, Haidu’s isolation walls had been completely sealed off, forming an impenetrable fortress.
But Pombaton had no idea that before launching the garrison attack, Bai Fu had already ordered Yulia to disguise herself as a civilian and infiltrate Haidu. With Yulia coordinating from within, the tall isolation walls around Haidu were meaningless to Bai Fu.
Yulia’s enhanced Sky Burial splattered the guards stationed at the gate into paste. By the time Pombaton sensed danger, Bai Fu was already standing before him.
"Heh, all my fault!"
Pombaton deeply regretted it. He should have sent elite agents to kill Bai Fu during the Battle of Bagaros—that would’ve prevented today’s disaster.
"Bai Fu, today either you die or I—"
Boom!
Before the "die" left Pombaton’s mouth, Bai Fu’s Psionic Burst had already blasted him away. As he hit the ground, two Penetrating Spears and a Void Energy Orb’s Psionic barrage struck his body, evaporating his HP bar. Even as his consciousness faded, he never imagined he’d die so easily.
"Annoying." Bai Fu stepped over Pombaton’s corpse. "Right, who was that guy I just killed?"
A trembling prisoner answered, "General Pombaton, the Gene Primogenitors’ top military commander."
Pombaton?
Bai Fu recalled the name. Wasn’t he the one who tried to frame her at Bagaros Base?
She didn’t react much.
Just Pombaton. Killing him now was like kicking a yapping stray dog to death—no longer worth any emotion.
"Take me to Xia Shude. He should know where Xia Shi is being held."
