When the Wind is Sweet: The Fairy Tale of Mr. and Mrs. Lancaster

Chapter 358: Faye Turner Came Alone

Chapter 358: Faye Turner Came Alone

Nanny Warren watched her open the cabinet and take out that packet of traditional medicine, feeling her heart tighten bit by bit.

Watching her turn around and walk downstairs, Nanny Warren broke into a cold sweat...

"Madam..." she came to her senses and quickly followed!

"Some things, once done, the consequences could be unimaginable! Your relationship with Adrian might be completely ruined!" She had read the news, Adrian truly loved Faye!

"I’ve never cared for this mother-son bond!" Eliza Hayes said disdainfully as she dialed a number, her tone taking a 180-degree turn, "Mr. Peterson, how have you been lately?"

After a while, she asked again, "Do you have time now?"

"It’s like this, the old man is quite bored at home, always wanting to invite you over for a game of chess, but he’s worried you might be too busy, so he’s never made an appointment with you."

She made it so clear that the other party naturally understood her meaning.

"Not busy, not busy, here’s what I’ll do, I’ll call him now and invite him over here for a game of chess, I just got back from fishing, let him try our chef’s cooking."

"Okay, then go ahead and call him now." After saying that, Eliza Hayes hung up the phone.

Nanny Warren, following behind her, was scared out of her wits. What was she planning to do? She even sent the old man away!!

At this point, the two were already downstairs.

Nanny Warren took out her phone, unsure of who to message.

But she was seen by Eliza Hayes, who turned around, her face changed, and she snatched the phone from her hands, "Are you crazy?!"

Nanny Warren had no time to react as her phone was taken away, watching Eliza Hayes carry the herbal medicine towards the tea room.

"Madam!" Nanny Warren hurriedly followed, "Please reconsider! The mother-son bond might truly be severed!!"

"Do you know what I’m going to do to tell me to reconsider?" Eliza Hayes took out a herb pot, preparing the medicine as she spoke to Nanny Warren, "You’d better not interfere, I’m determined to get rid of Faye Turner!"

"You can drive her away, but you can’t hurt her!" Nanny Warren knew what that was.

"As long as the child is there, there will be a connection between her and Adrian Lancaster!" Eliza Hayes’s heart was indeed ruthless, almost disregarding human life.

Nanny Warren could only feel anxious, for she was the master, and she was the servant.

Even if she wanted to call Adrian Lancaster, she didn’t have a phone anymore.

Soon, a strong smell of traditional medicine filled the air, Nanny Warren deeply troubled, faintly saw a car driving away from the courtyard in front of the main villa.

The old man had been successfully sent away.

Nanny Warren looked towards the Buddha Hall, the high and mighty statue of the Buddha, she clasped her hands together in prayer, not knowing what to do.

Hoping the Buddha would bless everything to be safe.

Soon, a taxi stopped outside the main villa’s large courtyard, the weather was nice today, the sky blue.

Faye Turner, dressed in a pink suit dress, got out of the car carrying three bags of herbal medicine and strode into the courtyard.

She had a smile on her face, looking in a cheerful mood.

As soon as she entered the main villa’s living room, the butler and servants greeted her, "Hello, Madam."

"Hello, everyone, where’s Grandpa?" she instinctively showed concern for the elderly first.

The servant told her the old master went out to meet some friends, "Oh, okay, is Mom here?"

"Madam is in the backyard."

"Alright."

She carried her bags and walked towards the backyard.

Recently, because Eliza Hayes’s attitude towards her had changed, Faye Turner was unguarded, thinking everything was gradually getting better.

Being able to visit her and bring her some traditional medicine was also a way to forge closer ties.

Once the relationship was close enough, she would propose treating Mr. Lancaster’s illness.

She believed everything would get better and better.

Just leaving the main villa and arriving at the lush lawn in the backyard, Faye noticed the Buddha Hall’s doors were open, the benevolent and kind image of the Buddha in her view.

Mrs. Lancaster and Nanny Warren were not in sight. As she just stepped into the Buddha Hall, she caught a whiff of the brewed traditional medicine scent.

She was a bit puzzled, wondering why there was still herbal medicine. Wasn’t it finished?

Eliza Hayes appeared at the tea room door, "You’re back? Come in and sit."

"Mom." Faye greeted her happily, quickly walking towards her, "You look well today."

"That’s because I slept well last night." Eliza Hayes replied with a smile.

At that moment, Nanny Warren stood heavily beside the tea table, feeling as if ten thousand pounds of weight was pressing on her heart.
