Chapter 357: Eliza Hayes Has Been Waiting for This Day for a Long Time

Chapter 357: Eliza Hayes Has Been Waiting for This Day for a Long Time

But Nanny Warren wasn’t sleeping; how could she? Her mind was all over the place.

She kept watching the time anxiously, imagining bad things happening every minute and second; her worry grew.

After waiting about three hours, she finally saw her come back.

"Ma’am..."

Nanny Warren went to her bedroom again and handed her a warm glass of milk as usual.

Eliza Hayes was already taking off her makeup, her hair let down. She took the glass and said coolly, "Nanny Warren, only when Faye Turner leaves can this home be peaceful like before. That girl is skilled in medicine and meddles in things she shouldn’t; she can’t stay here."

Yes, she didn’t want Caleb Lancaster to be cured.

"Where did you go just now?" Nanny Warren couldn’t figure it out.

Eliza Hayes wouldn’t answer, she just smiled coldly, "Wash up and sleep, it’s getting late."

Nanny Warren just stood there, as if waiting for an answer, unwilling to leave.

Eliza Hayes drank her milk, brushed her teeth, and then went to sleep as if no one else was there.

That night, Nanny Warren worried about things all over the world and couldn’t sleep.

That night, blocked Sienna also couldn’t sleep.

She had watched Adrian Lancaster’s last interview where he had answered a question about feelings. She originally thought, that his impromptu marriage with Faye Turner had no emotional foundation.

But now... he’s directly pushed her out of the picture, always protecting his wife!

This feeling of being blocked made Sienna feel awful, like having a fly stuffed down her throat by the man she loved most.

She tossed and turned in bed, her mind filled with memories of their romance, his promises—those promises for eternity...

Next morning.

Faye Turner awoke resting on Adrian Lancaster’s arm; she noticed he still maintained last night’s posture, "Aren’t your arm’s numb?"

"No." Seeing she had slept so soundly, the man showed a gentle smile.

The closer she got, the more he could smell the faint scent of traditional medicine from her, and he slept even better.

After getting up, they had breakfast together and then drove the Lamborghini to the company together.

Faye Turner was in the design department’s large office, busying herself with work for a while first.

Around ten in the morning, she finally had time to go to Dr. Aiken for traditional medicine.

She grabbed several batches of medicine according to a prescription she prepared ahead of time.

"This prescription is good," Dr. Aiken praised while looking at it, "If you open a clinic, you might become even more famous than I am."

Faye Turner only smiled humbly and said, "I’m too young, I lack clout, no one would believe me; even if they’re cured, they’ll think it was sheer luck."

Dr. Aiken had a long-standing wish to someday meet her mentor and learn from the elderly master.

Faye Turner promised him, "Once my mentor returns, I’ll let you know right away!"

"Alright, Miss Turner, please keep this in mind."

After grabbing the medicine, Faye Turner was on her way back to the old house, she dialed Eliza Hayes’ number, "Mom, are you at home now?"

"We are, what’s up?" Eliza Hayes’ tone was gentle, entirely different from when she spoke with Nanny Warren last night.

The girl got straight to the point, "I’m bringing you some traditional medicine."

"Now?" Eliza Hayes was a bit surprised, "Adrian’s not busy during weekdays?" His schedule is usually planned out in advance for the week.

Faye Turner said, "Adrian’s at the company; I’m coming alone today; I’ll leave after I deliver the medicine."

This opportunity for Eliza Hayes was something she eagerly awaited!

So she smiled and said, "Alright, alright, we’re home waiting for you!"

"Okay, see you soon." The girl was too innocent, without any guard.

After ending the call, Eliza Hayes turned around, only to meet Nanny Warren’s cold gaze.

Clearly, Nanny Warren had overheard the phone conversation.

The two women’s gazes met; Eliza Hayes put away her smile, and Nanny Warren’s eyes were filled with worry.

After a while, Eliza Hayes showed disdain and turned to walk toward a certain cabinet not far away.
