Adrian Lancaster reached out and gently tapped her head, "What are you thinking? Not a single penny for you!"

Faye Turner couldn’t help but laugh, "So ruthless?"

"Tell me, when did she contact you?" Adrian Lancaster suddenly became serious, picking up a fork to cut the steak, clearly displeased.

"It was today."

His face darkened; while cutting, he glanced up at her, blaming, "Why hide something this big from me?"

"Didn’t you also hide the fact that you went to see her from me?" the girl blurted out.

But his expression was cold and stern, "How can that be the same? You’re pregnant! What if she does something to you? What if you get hurt? What if you get kidnapped?"

Every rhetorical question revealed his concern and worry for her.

This warmed Faye Turner’s heart.

So, in his eyes, his ex-girlfriend, First Love, was such a disreputable person? How upset would Sienna Dawson be if she knew?

Adrian Lancaster was truly angry, but he didn’t blame her.

He placed the cut steak in front of her, "Don’t take such risks again."

"Thank you." Faye Turner’s voice was sweet, she reached out to take the fork he handed her, "Rest assured, I’ll discuss everything with you in the future."

The sea breeze lifted their hair, rustling the hem of her dress...

Then the two of them ate dinner in the sunset, without mentioning today’s news again.

Faye Turner seemed to have a strong hunch, regardless of any reason, this man obviously leaned towards her side.

"Done with work? After work, chat with Grandpa!" Grandpa’s voice was stern, as if he had been holding back for a long time.

Adrian Lancaster turned on the speakerphone, placed the phone near Faye Turner, then picked up a fork and started eating pasta while listening to Grandpa’s lecture —

"You little rascal! Grandpa watched the news! I just held back from calling you because I thought you were busy at work!"

Faye Turner could feel the old man’s anger through the screen; she cautiously ate her steak, occasionally glancing at the man sitting opposite her.

"You’re married now, why are you secretly meeting an ex-girlfriend? If she was really that good, she wouldn’t have left you back then!"

"Men are all ungrateful! Always thinking what they can’t have is the best! But they don’t know that sometimes Heaven is just keeping the garbage away from you!"

"Everyone in the world knows you got married; if she were a good girl, wouldn’t she avoid suspicion?"

"Let me tell you! Adrian Lancaster! Faye Turner was destined for you by fortune-telling! She’s a treasure! If you let her down, even Heaven won’t spare you!"

Faye Turner listened nervously, feeling quite awkward.

"You might wake up one day and find your market value evaporated overnight! Worse still, you might be plagued by illness!!"
