Chapter 341: Perhaps This Is Fate
Chapter 341: Perhaps This Is Fate
The driver who just got out of the car went straight up and knocked Dylan Shaw down!
And the young man didn’t stop him; his expressionless demeanor remained gentlemanly and courteous.
Dylan groaned in pain, his dignity as a man was trampled on the ground, and he was fuming with anger!
With Adrian Lancaster and Faye Turner helping her, now there’s another stranger showing up! It’s unbelievable!
"Who are you? What’s your relationship with my wife?! Have the two of you been together for a long time?!"
Hearing this, Rachel Sherman stood up, yelling at him while crying, "Are you insane?! Slandering is a crime! Do you believe I’ll sue you?! Do you think everyone is like you!"
"Watch your mouth, open your eyes and see, this is Young Master Fletcher." The driver stared at Dylan, warning him coldly.
Dylan knew he was no match for them; today, the victor had already been decided.
So, unwillingly, he took a few steps back and turned away filled with rage.
Watching his back, Chase Fletcher’s eyes darkened.
"Thank you..." Rachel slowly turned her gaze to him; this man in a neat suit, gentlemanly and elegant, made her feel no embarrassment despite her disheveled state.
Her gratitude was genuine, with exhaustion in her eyes also filled with sincerity.
Chase noticed she was alone, and it was late at night, worrying the man hadn’t left far and might come back to trouble her.
So, he spoke warmly, "Miss, where do you live? Do you still have to face him when you go home tonight?"
She shook her head, "I rented an apartment elsewhere, I’ve already filed for divorce, and the court hearing is tomorrow."
"Where do you live then? I’ll take you there." The man’s voice was gentle.
Rachel was about to refuse when he added, "In case he comes looking for you again, at least wait out tonight first."
Rachel was also worried Dylan hadn’t gone far. Her mood was terrible, but since he was a stranger, she also wanted to refuse.
At this time, Chase Fletcher opened the back car door, "I’ll consider it a good deed for the day, so you don’t have to feel burdened. We just happened to meet while waiting for a red light."
Actually, it could be considered fate.
He helped her; how could she suspect he was a bad person?
"Thank you, sir." Rachel looked at him and then carefully got into the car.
She had been injured by Dylan, so when she bent over to get into the car, her back throbbed with pain, but she endured it.
The driver got into the car, and the man sat in the front passenger seat. After asking for her address, the car set off in that direction.
Chase Fletcher handed her a pack of tissues.
"Thank you." She reached out to take it; Rachel felt she had never been so embarrassed in her life.
About ten minutes later, the car stopped outside a relatively shabby neighborhood. Rachel thanked them and got out of the car.
Chase Fletcher looked straight ahead, not turning his eyes to see Rachel even a bit, his expression was calm, and his facial features were beautifully defined.
The driver glanced at him, "..."
"Why haven’t you driven off?" The man spoke with a gentle tone.
The driver looked outside again, not waiting for the young woman’s figure to disappear from view, and then started the car.
The driver was full of doubts all the way.
When the car was about to reach the estate, he couldn’t help but ask, "Young Master, what’s going on with you tonight? You’ve never been one to meddle in others’ business before."
In fact, during the silent journey, the man himself was pondering this question.
It was really as if he had been possessed by something just now, and now with a clear mind, in retrospect, he found it unbelievable.
Chase Fletcher would actually meddle in someone else’s business?
Getting out of the car at the red light to save a stranger on the roadside?
And she was married, about to be divorced, with ongoing disputes with her husband, and he would go out of his way to drive her home??
Out of his way!
It was just too incredible!
That night, when Rachel got home and after taking a shower, she received a call from Faye Turner, who was constantly encouraging her over the phone.
For tomorrow’s court hearing, Faye said she would also be there to accompany her.
Although it’s said that one would rather destroy a temple than a marriage, Rachel’s marriage was clearly broken, and there’s no need to endure it any further.
