Chapter 312: Bringing Out the Couple’s Cake

In the warmly lit The Fairy Tale Nook.

Tanya, wearing a cute apron behind the counter, was decorating small cakes when she inadvertently looked up and saw a couple by the riverbank, apparently kissing.

From her angle and with the dim lighting around, she was absolutely captivated!

A cute height difference, the evening breeze swaying the nearby willow branches, creating a beautiful picture!

"Oh my... so sweet!! Just like a scene from a romance drama!"

"Did you sneak a taste of the cake? Did you put in too much sugar?" Shannon came out upon hearing, "What’s so sweet?"

Seeing her colleague’s lovestruck expression and following her gaze, Shannon also spotted the couple kissing under the moonlight.

The scene was truly beautiful.

The two stood behind the counter, watching for a long time...

Suddenly, Shannon shivered all over, "Ah! Isn’t that Mr. Turner?"

"What??" Tanya turned her head in surprise.

"Talia Tully!"

Tanya looked at the riverbank again, focusing on the man, "Is he President Lancaster?"

He does resemble the person from the interview.

Shannon and Tanya exchanged glances, both utterly shocked!

Then, the two girls brought over two servings of today’s new half-priced couple dessert, symbolizing perfect love, excitedly approaching them.

They weren’t interrupting, just waiting for the long-lasting kiss to naturally end.

Adrian Lancaster and Faye Turner only then noticed there were two onlookers standing nearby.

Startled, they both jumped a bit.

"Love at first sight isn’t about you falling for me at once or me for you, but about the flavor!"

"Before the flowers bloom, a gentle breeze arrives, after they bloom, the fragrance enchants—let’s eat the cake already!"

"Couple half-price! Today’s new product! Welcome both to taste!"

Shannon and Tanya’s smiles were as sweet as the cake in their hands.

Faye Turner smiled happily, reaching to take one piece, "Thank you, dear." Then she handed it to Adrian Lancaster, "For you!"

The man’s expression was gentle, his eyes full of tenderness, as he reached to take it.

Faye Turner took the other small cake, "Thank you."

"Would you like to come in for a while?" Shannon cheerfully invited them.

Faye Turner looked at Adrian Lancaster, understanding his thoughts.

Then she shook her head towards the two girls, "No, there are other guests inside today, wouldn’t want to disturb them."

"Alright, we won’t insist. But The Fairy Tale Nook will always welcome President Lancaster!"

Adrian Lancaster wasn’t at all pretentious, giving them a gentle smile.

Watching the girls’ leaving figures, Faye Turner smiled warmly, surprised they even brought out cake?

"Try it? Their handiwork isn’t bad either." She kindly advised.

So, the two began eating cake by the riverbank.

"How’s the taste?" After watching him take a few bites, Faye Turner asked curiously, "If ten is the full score, how many points would you give, President Lancaster?"

Adrian Lancaster objectively replied, "It’s a bit too sweet, not as good as your cake. I’m not flattering you, just objectively sharing my feeling, I’d say seven points."

"Then what about my cake? How many points would you give?"

"Nine points," he answered almost without thinking.

Faye Turner smiled, not asking where that missing point went.

She just felt that scoring nine points from him was a high recognition, as it seemed very few things could be perfect in his eyes, right?

After finishing the cakes, just as Adrian Lancaster was about to take her home, they inadvertently spotted Rachel Sherman carrying a child into the shop.

The couple exchanged glances, both finding it odd. Why would she bring a child out this late?

Adrian Lancaster’s gaze fell on Faye Turner’s face, "Do you want to go in and check?"

Faye Turner felt an uneasy premonition, glanced at Adrian Lancaster, and then took a step inside.
