When 'God' Decides To Start Over

Chapter 646 - 266: Return to the City of Light_3

Chapter 646 - 266: Return to the City of Light_3

Li Xiu helped A Fei and Ye Yuzhen ignite their light seeds; A Fei didn’t feel anything special, but Ye Yuzhen was extremely excited.

"It’s really fortunate to have followed the right person. If it weren’t for Li Xiu, how could we, brother and sister, have such an opportunity." Ye Yuzhen vowed silently to himself, determined to help Li Xiu protect the City of Light.

Although he also had some desire to go to Eternal Heaven, that place didn’t accommodate Magic Armor Masters well, and since Ye Xiyuan couldn’t go together, he naturally didn’t want to go either.

"Go and bring Xiyuan over. I’ll light her lamp too." Li Xiu said to Ye Yuzhen.

Lighting the light seeds for three people in a row, Li Xiu felt he still had ample strength.

"Xiyuan is a Magic Armor Master, does she also need her lamp lit?" Ye Yuzhen was slightly taken aback.

"Who says Magic Armor Masters don’t need lamps? Being physically better aids in controlling the Demon Armor. It’s also an extra means of self-preservation, which might be useful someday." Li Xiu said earnestly.

"Thank you, City Lord!" Ye Yuzhen was overjoyed and quickly went to call Ye Xiyuan over.

Li Xiu originally hadn’t planned to light Ye Xiyuan’s lamp but didn’t expect his light energy to be so abundant, lighting three people without feeling too tired.

So he decided to have Ye Yuzhen teach Ye Xiyuan the "Zi Bu Yu’s Secret Art of Mystical Powers" first, and then he would light the lamp.

He planned to take people to Eternal Heaven, and from then on, the City of Light could only be sustained by the Ye brother and sister duo.

Although there probably wouldn’t be any major issues, should anything arise, there ought to be someone able to step up and manage it.

Ye Xiyuan’s Spiritual Sense was extremely strong, and her memory was remarkable, almost photographic. She quickly memorized the "Zi Bu Yu’s Secret Art of Mystical Powers."

Li Xiu smoothly ignited her light seed, but since she hadn’t cultivated before, and her Primordial Embryo Quality was poor, with no light energy within, Li Xiu consumed quite a bit of light energy and felt somewhat fatigued.

"Let’s stop here for today. Both of you need to practice my method. Xiyuan, if you have time, you can also go to the Trial Ground for training; it won’t harm you." Li Xiu said.

Ye Xiyuan nodded solemnly, and although she didn’t say anything, she truly took Li Xiu’s words to heart.

Li Xiu felt somewhat tired. Lighting lamps for A Fei, Ye Yuzhen, and Chu Jun wasn’t as tough as lighting the lamp for Ye Yiyuan alone.

Returning to his room, he found A Fei sitting in a chair by the table, like a ghostly specter, giving Li Xiu a fright.

"What are you doing here? Still sitting in the dark?" Li Xiu turned on the lamp and asked A Fei.

"I saw the God." After a moment of silence, A Fei said with a strange expression, looking at Li Xiu.

"How was it? Can you confirm whether he’s the God you’re looking for?" Li Xiu asked with concern, as he too wanted to know the answer to this matter.

"No, he’s not the God I’m looking for." A Fei shook her head but kept her eyes fixed on Li Xiu.

Li Xiu discerned that something was wrong with A Fei and continued to ask, "Where did you see him?"

"Space City," A Fei replied.

"You went to Space City?" Li Xiu frowned.

"I just wanted to see if the God of Space City was the one I was looking for; I never intended to actually do anything. I know what can and cannot be done; I simply wanted to confirm."

A Fei continued looking at Li Xiu as she spoke, "But as soon as I arrived in Space City, Guan Jinghao’s people found me and said Guan Jinghao wanted to see me."

"And then?" Li Xiu asked calmly.

"Then I met Guan Jinghao, who took me to see that God, and I can confirm he is not the one I’m looking for," A Fei sighed.

"What happened next?" Li Xiu continued to ask.

"Then Guan Jinghao told me..." A Fei didn’t finish her sentence, staring into Li Xiu’s eyes before continuing, "He told me you are the true God, that you used to control the Red Flower Wolf, is this true?"

"Yes, I used to control the Red Flower Wolf for three years." Li Xiu nodded.

He knew A Fei would eventually find out, and he had meant to tell her personally, but he hadn’t been prepared for Guan Jinghao to reveal it early.

"Is it you?" A Fei’s question was vague, but Li Xiu understood what she was asking.

"No." Li Xiu replied.

"That’s good." A Fei nodded, "Guan Jinghao asked me to be his spy by your side, and I agreed."

"Understood. Be careful from now on and don’t go to Space City anymore. Guan Jinghao is not simple; his background has issues." Li Xiu sighed.

"Alright, I’m heading back." A Fei left Li Xiu’s room and silently returned to her own room.

But instead of resting, she packed her things, placed a prepared letter on the table, and quietly left the City Lord’s Mansion.

Outside the City of Light, A Fei cast a long glance at it before finally averting her gaze and turning into the forest.

In the depths of the woods, A Fei walked a long distance before stopping, putting her belongings down, and starting to dig with a shovel.

In no time, A Fei dug out a large rectangular pit, two meters long, fifty centimeters wide, and over one meter deep.

Putting down the shovel, A Fei opened the box she carried, took out the bedding, spread it on the pit floor, then jumped inside with a quilt, laid on the bedding, covered herself with the quilt, and summoned the Black Death Demon.

Under A Fei’s command, the Black Death Demon vigorously pushed the previously dug soil back into the pit, gradually covering A Fei’s body.

A Fei closed her eyes, slowly getting buried by the soil.

"Isn’t it somewhat too wasteful to just die like this?" A voice suddenly sounded outside the pit.

A Magic Armor Master appeared, squatting beside the pit, tugging at the quilt almost buried in dirt, revealing A Fei’s face.

"You can stop me once, but you can’t stop me from seeking death." A Fei said coldly.

"You wish to die, and I can’t stop you, but what about your family’s revenge? Without you, who will avenge them?" The Magic Armor Master asked.

"They’re all dead. Even if revenge is taken, they won’t come back to life." A Fei said.

"Just because your enemy is Li Xiu, you won’t avenge your parents?" The Magic Armor Master questioned.

"Li Xiu is not my enemy," A Fei countered coldly.

"How do you know?" The Magic Armor Master frowned.

"Because he said so." A Fei replied.

The Magic Armor Master laughed, "You believe a man’s words? Haven’t you heard that saying, ’A man’s mouth is a deceiving ghost’? You believe him when he says he’s not?"

"He says he’s not, so he’s not." A Fei retorted, her voice cold.

"You’re too naive, young girl. Don’t assume a man’s words are trustworthy. Even if he’s truly not, sacrificing your life for his isn’t worth it." The Magic Armor Master advised earnestly, "In this world, there’s nothing more important than your own life. You need to safeguard your life first. Regarding men, with your abilities, you’ll have no shortage of outstanding men in the future as long as you’re alive. Why sacrifice yourself for a man who might be your parent’s killer?"
