" They didn't wait for any response because the rest of the cars can arrived from the other side and it would take them a lot of time to come around. " Follow with caution,we are making the turn, " he dispatcher informed them.

"Step on it," Jake roared the officer. The car shot forward, tires screeching as they navigated the turns at breakneck speed.Up ahead, the black SUV came into view within moments, swerving dangerously as it sped down the highway. "That's them!" Jake shouted.The officer thrust a gun in his hand. " Know how to use that? " Jake nodded.

The officer floored the gas pedal, closing the distance. "Dispatch, we have visual on the suspects. Engaging now."They pulled up alongside the SUV, and Jake caught a glimpse of Kai, weak and eyes closed,in the passenger seat.Suddenly, the SUV veered to the side, trying to ram them off the road. The police car jolted, but the officer kept control.

"Hang on!" the officer yelled as he pulled out his gun and fired at the SUV's tires. The bullet hit its mark, and the SUV skidded, losing control. It crashed into the guardrail, coming to a stop.

"Go, go, go!" Jake shouted as they jumped out of the car, guns drawn. Rosa scrambled out of the SUV and one of the men holding Kai in the back. The other man opened fire, and they dove for cover as bullets whizzed past them.

"Shit!" Jake cursed, returning fire. " Careful, they have Kai with them. "The officer took a position behind the car, exchanging shots with the gunman. Rosa grabbed Kai from the man and started running towards an old warehouse, using the chaotic gunfight as cover.

"Cover me!" Jake yelled to the officer as he broke from cover, firing at the men while his eyes stayed focused only on Rosa with Kai in her arms.

One went down with a scream, clutching his chest. The officer took out the second man with a precise shot, but Rosa was already inside the warehouse."Fuck!" Jake spat, sprinting after her. The officer followed, keeping his gun ready.

"Rosa, stop!" Jake shouted, his voice reverberating off the old brick walls. He could hear Kai crying.It was ripping portions off his heart.It was bleeding.Rosa ducked behind a stack of crates, clutching Kai tightly. "Stay back, or I'll kill him!" she screamed, her voice shaking. " Drop your weapons and stay back!Now! "

He glanced at the officer, who gave a slight nod, and they slowly lowered their weapons to the ground.

"Rosa, please," Jake pleaded, his voice literally cracking. "We can talk about this. Just let Kai go." Rosa's eyes darted nervously between Jake and the officer. "Stay back!" she repeated, her grip on Kai tightening. "I don't want to hurt him, but I will if I have to!"
