Chapter 330 - 329: Even Eating Looks Good
Damian Sinclair cooperated this time, sitting on a low stool nearby, making it easier for Bella Acker to move around.
But he was tall with long legs, and when he sat on the low stool, his legs were all curled up, which was very uncomfortable.
Bella Acker applied a fever patch for him and asked, "Damian, did you have breakfast before you came over?"
"I had a cup of coffee," Damian Sinclair said, "It’s just a small cold. I’ll be fine by tomorrow; you don’t need to worry."
"It’s almost up to thirty-nine degrees and you call it a small cold. You’re really carefree," Bella Acker threw a side-eye at him, and went back inside with the thermometer.
Damian Sinclair, feeling uncomfortable on the low stool, glanced at the still-spinning washing machine, and followed her into the house.
Aunt Sienna, who was helping the kids with reading and writing lessons in the dining room, softly asked when she came in first, "Bella, how’s Mr. Sinclair?"
"He has a fever," Bella Acker said, "I’ve put on a fever patch, but he still needs medication. He didn’t have breakfast when he came over, so I’ll make some congee for him first."
"We have some congee left from breakfast, but I’m not sure if Mr. Sinclair would like to eat something we’ve already touched," Aunt Sienna said.
"Aunt Sienna, he’s not that particular. I’ll serve a bowl for him so he can take his medicine," Bella Acker said, heading to the kitchen.
Damian Sinclair also arrived at the dining room, and Aunt Sienna quickly stood up, saying, "Mr. Sinclair, please come sit over here."
Damian Sinclair walked over, glanced at the characters Ethan was diligently writing, and said plainly, "The flower character is wrong; there are only two vertical strokes at the top."
Ethan, holding his pen, looked up at him dumbfounded, not quite understanding.
Damian Sinclair glanced at him, pointed at the flower character on his notebook, "Here, there’s one too many."
"Huh?" Ethan stared blankly, still not understanding where he went wrong. In his impression, the flower character was written like that.
Aunt Sienna also came over to look at the character Ethan wrote and indeed found it written incorrectly.
"Ethan, this is how you write flower, look at the book," Aunt Sienna pointed to the flower character in the book for Ethan to see.
"Wow, really?" Ethan compared it and finally realized his mistake, taking out an eraser to correct it.
Damian Sinclair silently walked over to sit on a long bench, thinking to himself that his kid in the future would definitely be a thousand times smarter than this child. No, ten thousand times smarter!
It seems like people with colds become more childlike.
Normally, Damian Sinclair would never internally complain about such things.
Bella Acker brought out a bowl of congee and a dish of pickled vegetables, "This is the bowl I usually use, please make do with it."
Damian Sinclair accepted the chopsticks and began eating in silence.
Aunt Sienna glanced at Bella Acker, using her eyes to ask: Is Mr. Sinclair angry? Why isn’t he speaking?
Bella Acker, feeling helpless, shook her head at her.
Damian rarely talks when eating. Even when it was just the two of them having meals, he’d only give a brief response after she spoke a lot.
Perhaps it was because he was taught from a young age about etiquette like not talking while eating or speaking in the bedroom.
However, Bella always chats during meals, probably because she’d spent so much time abroad.
Damian Sinclair ate the bowl of congee and the small dish of pickled vegetables quickly yet with elegant manners.
Ethan held his cheeks in amazement, exclaiming, "Wow, uncle looks so good when eating."
They usually eat freely, chatting at the table, and never paid much attention to manners, so it was the first time they saw someone eat so gracefully.
