Chapter 334: Ch 334: Soul Lantern

Emrys didn’t touch anything after shifting his place to a node inside the Ninth Floor of Astral Soul Tower. Instead, he first observed everything very carefully.

He was careful not because he was afraid of anything, it was because he wanted to find all that could help him grow in terms of Soul and Soul Cultivation.

He used to think Soul Cultivation simply meant increasing the amount of Soul Force, strengthening the Soul step by step, as if the soul were nothing more than a reservoir of energy.

But over time, he realized Soul Cultivation wasn’t that simple. It wasn’t just a straight path of strengthening one’s soul and soul force. It was hiding depth. Each soul has its own unique nature, and the awakening of that nature is called Soul Mark.

Moreover, each Soul Mark takes a different shape based on the soul and body’s innate characteristics, experiences, and emotions.

This shape is called the Soul Spirit.

Facing the Soul Tribulations where illusions became reality and inner demons take form can one be said to have truly mastered the nine Absolute Soul Laws and trasncend Eternity.

Only those who can endure their own truths, accept their flaws, and refine their will can begin to mold their soul into higher forms.

In the end, Soul Cultivation is not about becoming stronger, it is about becoming complete. Or perhaps, saying that Soul Cultivation is about going beyond one’s own limitations will not be wrong.

The restriction was placed on the scroll to prevent anyone from reading its content without permission or qualification. However, to Emrys, the restriction was like thin paper. It faded away instantly as soon as it came in contact with his touch.

As soon as the scroll opened fully, it started to shine with a blinding red light. Almost instantly, a beam of red light shot out from the scroll and directly entered Emrys’s forehead.

Although Emrys was taken aback, he didn’t panic. Instead, he soon composed himself and closed his eyes. Following that, he began to organize the information quickly flowing into his mind.

Inside his Soul Sea, golden waves rolled and his consciousness worked fast. After a few breaths of time, the messy information began to settle. All the pieces came together to form a complete Soul Skill.

Its name appeared clearly in Emrys’s mind: Soul Lantern.

This skill can allow a Soul Master to create a lantern made of pure Soul Force inside their Soul Sea. The Soul Lantern could guide the souls of the dead, light the way in dark soul spaces, and more importantly, expose hidden secrets inside other souls including those secrets that could not find.

If someone tried to hide a memory, a secret, or even a sealed soul within themselves, the Soul Lantern could reveal it all.

With his ability to get enlightened immediately, it didn’t even take him dozens of seconds to comprehend Soul Lantern. In fact, he even started to create the Soul Lantern inside his Soul Sea.

A few minutes later, a translucent structure manifisted. This structure slowly took a complete shape and transformed into a lantern.

Emrys opened his eyes slowly, and at that moment, a faint blue lantern appeared in his palm. It flickered softly, like a tiny flame in the darkness. At the same time, tiny waves of pure soul force spread from the lantern in the surroundings.

He smiled slightly and muttered: "Perhaps, this skill will be useful."
