Chapter 333: Ch 333: Astral Soul City
"What happened?"
Emrys was stunned at first, but then he felt something new inside his Soul Sea.
He quickly looked inward, and what he saw made him hold his breath.
He saw that the small golden tree was still there. But now, something new had appeared on its nine golden leaves. Each leaf had a single golden droplet resting on it. The droplets were glowing softly like stars shining in the night.
Most importantly, he could feel an incredibly strong life force inside each drop. Also, each golden droplet was so full of energy that it felt as if each one could give birth to a world or destroy an entire universe.
And within them, there was Soul Force so powerful that it made even his heart tremble.
Emrys kept observing the small golden tree inside his Soul Sea for a while. Then he finally took a deep breath and slowly pulled his attention back from within.
At the same time, all the strange and powerful phenomena above the battlefield disappeared. The sky returned to normal, the land became silent once more, and the golden light faded away completely as if nothing had ever happened.
Emrys opened his eyes. His expression was calm, but his aura had become much stronger than before.
Without even looking at his surroundings, he vanished from the battlefield in a flash of golden light.
At the same time, far behind him, the remaining four Supreme Sovereign Soul Masters who had been frozen in place finally breathed out in relief.
Their faces were pale, and cold sweat dripped from their foreheads.
The golden light that filled the sky earlier had released a powerful suppressing force. It was not just pressure on the body, it felt like something divine was watching them from the heavens. That power wrapped around their bodies and entered even their souls. It made their minds go blank and filled their hearts with fear. They couldn’t move even a single finger. It was as if they were small insects facing a great beast. No matter how powerful they were, in front of that divine presence, they were completely helpless. They were more like mortals standing beneath a god’s will.
Now that it was gone, they felt like they had just escaped from death.
Meanwhile, Emrys appeared in front of a huge gate.
This gate was tall and wide. It was made from a dark silver metal. Thousands of ancient glyphs were carved all over it, glowing faintly with soft light.
Behind the gate, a grand city surrounded by thick walls that stretched far into the distance could be seen. The walls were made of soul crystal stones, and they shined under the sunlight. Flying ships came and went from the skies above the city, and soul cultivators in beautiful robes moved around the gates.
This was Astral Soul City, one of the greatest cities in the entire Soul World. It was also the biggest floating city.
Emrys stood quietly before the gate for a few seconds before stepping forward and walking into the city.
The guards standing outside the gate didn’t even notice him. He passed right by them, but to them, it was as if nothing had happened. They didn’t feel his presence at all.
Emrys didn’t stop. His steps were calm as he continued to walk forward, and his eyes were fixed on one place. He was going to the center of the city.
That was his destination this time because that is where a huge tower was standing tall. This tower was so big that it was impossible to miss.
This was the Astral Soul Tower, the most important place in the entire Astral Soul City.
The tower was surrounded by a wide plaza, and many Spiritas and Soul Masters could be seen walking around it. Some were sitting cross-legged and meditating, while others were waiting for their turn to enter.
Emrys didn’t pay attention to them. His eyes were on the top of the tower. It is because he had already sensed the ninth floor of the tower holding hundreds of thousands of powerful Soul Arts.
He also noticed that every floor had heavy restrictions. Only authorized people could enter this tower, and even fewer could go up to the higher floors.
Not only did every floor have heavy restrictions, but he also sensed strong formations blocking teleportation and many space-related properties from working inside the tower.
But Emrys was not worried at all.
He slowly walked to the base of the tower and stopped in front of it. The tower was made of soul steel and crystal and was glowing faintly with light. Strange glyphs could be seen moving along its surface.
Emrys stood there for a few seconds while observing it quietly.
Then, without warning, he vanished.
He did not teleport. Instead, he used his "Node Shift" ability.
In a flash, his body shifted from where he stood and appeared directly on the ninth floor of the tower.
The reason he didn’t use teleportation was simple—it wouldn’t work.
The entire Astral Soul Tower was protected by strong restrictions. These restrictions blocked most spatial properties, including teleportation. If anyone tried to force their way in, they would be repelled or even injured.
But Emrys’s Node Shift didn’t break through space.
Instead, it was like stepping onto an invisible path that only he could see. This invisible path was a "node" that already existed.
He simply moved himself from one node to another, avoiding all the blocked spatial layers. It was like jumping across stepping stones that others couldn’t even see.
Just like that, he quietly arrived on the ninth floor of the Astral Soul Tower.
He looked around and noticed that the room was vast and filled with ancient scrolls, glowing crystals, and floating jade tablets.
Not only scrolls, but those crystals and jade tablets all contained powerful Soul Arts. It is just that the Soul Arts recorded inside the crystals and jade tablets were far more important than those recorded in the scrolls.
