Chapter 292: Ch 292: I’m Not A Pushover

Undoubtedly, the person in black was the man from ten million years ago. He admitted this himself.

Emrys frowned. The person in black knew about him. Not only that, but they even called him an Exception.

"What do you mean?" Emrys asked.

The person in black chuckled in a strangely calm yet deep voice. Then he raised his head and said, "You were never meant to be here. You were not part of my plan. And yet, you arrived."

Emrys fell silent. He understood most of what the other person was trying to say, but there were still some he was confused about. Most importantly, his earlier guess was right. This person never wanted him to come here. This can explain the previous path of light and several other things he encountered after stepping into the dark fog also called the Edge of Celestial Horizon.

"Now that I’m already here, what will you do?"

Emrys knew he was no match for this person. Just the aura on this person’s body was enough to suffocate him. However, strangely, he was very calm even in this situation. He was not worried at all. There was not even an ounce of fear on his handsome face.

Emrys frowned. Threats were clearly visible in this person’s words. He was sure this person would do everything to make him fail the test. Or maybe, he will create a test that Emrys simply cannot pass with his current strength.

However, he was not worried.

On the other side, the person in black waved his hand and the entire hall changed. The pillars twisted and the walls melted into darkness. Now, this palace appeared just like the void, with endless darkness everywhere. The only difference was that this place still had a cold floor below.

Countless shadowy figures with glowing red eyes emerged from the floor.

"Now, show me what makes you an Exception," the person in black said and disappeared. He gave no explanation of what the test was about. He just threw a test at Emrys and left, letting Emrys guess the test and how to clear it on his own.

Talking about guessing the test, it was not that hard.

Emrys can tell at one glance that the test was for him to deal with these shadowy figures.

Emrys took a deep breath and sighed. Then he shook his head and his face turned. Then he muttered, "You want me dead, yet you still tell me to follow your arrangements. Do you think I’m a pushover?"

Immediately, a golden light broke out of his body and expanded everywhere, passing through the confinement of darkness.

Shrill voices immediately filled the golden domain. Those shadowy figures started roaring. They seemed to be enraged and rushed towards Emrys, wanting to take him down as soon as possible.
