Walker Of The Blue Sky

Chapter 279: Ch 279: What Is Beyond The Edge?

Chapter 279: Ch 279: What Is Beyond The Edge?

Emrys was surely the reason behind the activation of Ascension Gate, but he was not planning to reveal this truth.

Shaking his head, he said, "I was wandering nearby when everything suddenly changed. I came here only a couple of minutes ago before you guys."

Slivya nodded. This was very normal. To go to the Rosefield Family, one needs to come close to this region. It is not strange for Emrys to be nearby when the phenomena suddenly changed the sky of the Celestial Horizon.

This was not the place where they could talk for a long period.

Soon, everyone’s attention shifted to the shimmering pool, which is also the activated Ascension Gate.

Slivya and others from the Rosefield Family started observing the surroundings. They were investigating, trying to find any clue related to the Ascension Gate. They wanted to find out how the sealed Ascension Gate opened and who caused this.

Emrys was not in a hurry. He didn’t say anything or help them. He silently sat down under a tree and closed his eyes, going through the Thread Manipulation Skill.

Although he had completely comprehended this skill, it has its own marvels and uniqueness. How could Emrys not want to try and test it?

After a while, his eyes flashed open as his pupils turned completely golden. In his view, several threads of life appeared. These threads of life belonged to Slivya and others. Each thread was bright and moved gently.

Emrys smiled a little and thought, "This Thread Manipulation Skill is truly amazing. I can see their life force so clearly. Moreover, I can control their life and death if I wanted to."

But Emrys didn’t want to hurt anyone, especially not his mother. He waved his hand lightly, and one golden thread floated toward him. He touched it carefully, feeling the energy and connection it carried.

Meanwhile, Slivya and the others were busy checking the shimmering pool and the activated Ascension Gate. They looked around, touching the ground and the glowing symbols near the pool, but they couldn’t find anything strange.

"Who could have done this?" one of the Rosefield members muttered, shaking his head in frustration.

Slivya turned and glanced at Emrys, who was sitting quietly under the tree. She smiled softly, thinking, "He looks so calm. He has grown so much."

Emrys opened his eyes again and stood up. "Mom, I don’t think you’ll find the answer here. Why don’t we return first? Also, where is dad?"

Slivya nodded. "You might be right. We should return to the Rosefield Family estate and discuss this further. This place feels unstable."

As for Alex, she hasn’t said anything yet. It seems things related to his father are not simple. If possible, Slivya wanted to talk with her son somewhere quiet and alone.

Everyone agreed, and they started preparing to leave.

.....

_Rosefield Family Estate_

Inside a magnificent villa, Emrys and Slivya were sitting, facing each other.

After returning to the Rosefield Family, Emrys didn’t get to meet his so-called maternal grandfather and other members of the Rosefield Family. Slivya let a person bring Emrys to this villa before going with other members to report the result of their investigation.

For some reason, she didn’t want him to meet her father.

Of course, Emrys could guess one or two things.

It seems the conflict between father and daughter is not small, or maybe, it is not just limited to the father, but other close relatives as well.

Anyway, after reporting the result of their investigation, Slivya returned, and now, they were facing each other.

"So, you are saying Dad has already become an Eternal Sky Soul Master and is at war against almost all powerful factions, including the five major families who established the Federation? This war has been going on for many years already."

Emrys nodded his head lightly and suddenly asked, "But... Why is he at war? What is he fighting for?"

"He is fighting for us, his brothers, his friends, for humanity, and for the entire universe," Slivya responded in a deep voice. She thought for a while, seemingly hesitant, but still, she continued to speak, "You may not know, but our universe is not simple and has a rich history."

’I actually know...’ Emrys thought inwardly but didn’t speak, only nodded silently.

Slivya continued to speak, "On the surface, your father is fighting for human rights in the Celestial Horizon, however, in actuality, he is looking for a way to get past the edge of Celestial Horizon."

"Get past the edge of Celestial Horizon?"

Emrys could not be more puzzled. It was a known fact that Celestial Horizon was connected to four different worlds including the Infinite Soul Star. Aside from this, Emrys also knew that the edge of Celestial Horizon was not simple. It was far more dangerous than anyone could imagine. After all, even Eternal Sky Soul Masters have never walked out alive after entering past the edge of Celestial Horizon.

Emrys obtained this information from an old man in Star Lake City. According to that old man, the edge of Celestial Horizon is not a border but a place where energies from different worlds collide, making it an extremely risky place to explore. It is filled with strong forces, and even an Eternal Sky Soul Master won’t dare to go near those places.

That old man had also told him that the edge of Celestial Horizon was a battleground in the ancient war between this universe’s Soul Masters and a powerful foreign force. Powerful artifacts, treasures, and secrets lie hidden there. But no one has truly explored its full mysteries because no one can enter.

And now, his mother was telling him that his father, Alex, was planning to not only enter the ’edge’ but go beyond it.

Why?

What is beyond the edge of Celestial Horizon?

There were several things Emrys didn’t know. He looked at Slivya, waiting for her to continue explaining.

Slivya understood clearly what Emrys wanted. She could see many questions in his eyes. In the end, she smiled at said, "Then let me start from the very beginning. Everything started about ten million years ago..."
