Chapter 279: Ch 279: What Is Beyond The Edge?

Emrys was surely the reason behind the activation of Ascension Gate, but he was not planning to reveal this truth.

Shaking his head, he said, "I was wandering nearby when everything suddenly changed. I came here only a couple of minutes ago before you guys."

Slivya nodded. This was very normal. To go to the Rosefield Family, one needs to come close to this region. It is not strange for Emrys to be nearby when the phenomena suddenly changed the sky of the Celestial Horizon.

"Who could have done this?" one of the Rosefield members muttered, shaking his head in frustration.

Slivya turned and glanced at Emrys, who was sitting quietly under the tree. She smiled softly, thinking, "He looks so calm. He has grown so much."

Emrys opened his eyes again and stood up. "Mom, I don’t think you’ll find the answer here. Why don’t we return first? Also, where is dad?"

Slivya nodded. "You might be right. We should return to the Rosefield Family estate and discuss this further. This place feels unstable."

As for Alex, she hasn’t said anything yet. It seems things related to his father are not simple. If possible, Slivya wanted to talk with her son somewhere quiet and alone.
