Walker Of The Blue Sky

Chapter 278: Ch 278: Meeting His Mother Again

Chapter 278: Ch 278: Meeting His Mother Again

Emrys was confused, utterly confused.

He couldn’t help but recall the memories obtained after devouring the souls of countless Soul Beasts.

According to those memories, the Soul Beasts were forced to go to war against the Soul Masters of Celestial Horizon. They were forced to do so by a human-shaped mysterious white light who wanted to obtain something from the battlefield that could only be activated after a lot of bloodshed.

In ancient times, when there was no Celestial Horizon, a terrifying war between countless Soul Masters of this universe and the Spiritarium shattered the very structure of the universe.

During that war, an unknown number of Soul Masters died, and new forces were established. That war resulted in the formation of Celestial Horizon and the destruction of all Ascension Platforms, which stopped people from ascending to Spiritarium any longer. Similarly, no one can descend anymore.

But one day, Spiritarium found a way to descend to this universe again. The human-shaped mysterious white light descended and instigated the war to obtain an ancient weapon, along with countless other valuable treasures, was buried under a piece of land in Celestial Horizon called the Celestial Star Battlefield.

The weapon he wanted to obtain belonged to his family and ancestors, and only by awakening it could he gain control over it again.

Although Emrys was unable to clearly see the face of that human-shaped mysterious white light, he can say for sure that this middle-aged man in the chariot and that person are different people. They are not the same people.

At first, he thought this universe only had one enemy. Now, it seems things are not that simple. Other unknown enemies have also descended from Spiritarium.

As for why... each one likely has different purposes.

The middle-aged man descended to use the Source of the Universe to recover his injured Life Force and increase his strength. Meanwhile, that mysterious human-shaped white light descended to reclaim the ancient weapon that belonged to his ancestors.

The probability of other individuals from Spiritarium having descended to this universe for different purposes is very high.

Emrys took a deep breath and looked at the chariot that was about to enter the Celestial Horizon from space.

"Since this person is using the Source of the Universe to recover his life force, there is nothing in the Celestial Horizon that should interest him. Then, why is he coming here?"

Emrys was puzzled. At the same time, several other questions appeared in his mind.

According to the information he had just obtained, this middle-aged man descended to this universe a few hundred years ago. Upon his arrival, he immediately blocked the Ascension Gate and cut off the path of ascension which disrupted the flow of fate for the entire universe.

The question is, all the Ascension Gates were either destroyed or sealed long ago during the ancient war between this Universe and Spiritarium.

What, then, do this person’s actions imply?

Furthermore, how could blocking Ascension Gates that were already inactive disrupt the flow of the universe’s fate?

These were important questions. Unfortunately, Emrys had no answer.

"This Celestial Horizon... Many mysteries seem to be hidden here. If I want to uncover those mysteries and understand these people’s actions, I must first learn the complete truth about the Celestial Horizon!"

Everything pointed at Celestial Horizon.

The formation of this huge land, although the result of an ancient war, was still very bizarre.

Emrys breathed deeply and calmed his heart. His mother and several other people from Rosefield Family were almost there. It wouldn’t be long before he would see his mother again.

Not long after, Emrys felt multiple powerful auras approaching him.

He straightened his posture. His heart was beating faster.

Soon, a group of people appeared before him. Leading them was a graceful woman with a commanding presence. It was his mother, Slivya, followed by several powerful Soul Masters of the Rosefield Family.

"Son?" Slivya’s eyes widened in surprise as she saw Emrys standing there. She hurried closer, her expression a mix of shock and joy.

"Mom..." Emrys whispered, his voice trembling slightly. His almost golden eyes grew moist as emotions surged within him. It had been so many years since he last saw his mother. Despite everything he had experienced, this reunion filled a part of his heart with warmth and relief.

For a moment, the two stood there in silence, simply taking in each other’s presence. After a brief exchange of words, they began to talk more freely.

Slivya asked how he had been these years and what he had experienced.

Emrys recounted some of his journey, including his meeting with Elysia Nightshade and his journey to the Fragmented Cosmic World, as well as a detailed explanation of the Cosmic Cultivation System. He also told Slivya about the Spiritas and Spiritarium.

Slivya was shocked beyond belief to learn all this. It was shocking.

How could it not be shocking?

She, for her entire life, only knew about the Soul Cultivation System. She never once had a thought of a different cultivation system to be there.

Though she knew about a wider starry sky than this universe, she had never heard of the name "Spiritarium". It was from Emrys she learned all these things.

There was a reason Emrys told Slivya about all this. He wanted to go to Spiritarium but with his parents. He doesn’t want to leave them behind.

The other members of the Rosefield Family were also shocked, but in the end, they didn’t believe Emrys’s words. They even mocked Slivya in their hearts for being stupid enough to be fooled by her own son.

Slivya didn’t mind them. She believed in her son and knew that her son would never lie.

Emrys didn’t want to talk about all this just yet. He asked Slivya about her experiences and talked about different matters.

After a while, Slivya’s gaze shifted to the shimmering pool behind Emrys which was also the source of the radiant pillar of light that pierced the sky. Her expression became serious, and her tone grew sharp as she asked, "Why are you here, Emrys? Could it be... that the Ascension Gate’s activation has something to do with you?"
