Chapter 187: Ch 187: The Great Secrets (1)
"I am Radcliffe, a great mechanical lifeform. Before I went into slumber, my Great Master instructed me to await your arrival so you could inherit his will and legacy."
"Mechanical lifeform, as in artificial intelligence? And who is this great master you’re talking about? How did he even know about me when he existed who knows how long ago?"
Emrys sensed that this robotic being might be hiding a valuable secret, a secret that might turn the entire world upside down.
Radcliffe replied calmly, "I’m not an artificial intelligence. Don’t compare me with those things that are created by you humans and other races. I am a great mechanical lifeform—a true lifeform who is born naturally just like you and others. Don’t compare me to your primitive programs. You have many questions, so let me briefly explain my origins and the great mission I’ve been entrusted with. You’ll understand once you listen."
For some reason, although Radcliffe was expressionless, Emrys could sense that it seemed to be very angry when he was compared with artificial intelligence.
"Let’s start with my Great Master, Sage."
Sage?
Emrys appeared to be confused.
Radcliffe explained seriously, "My Great Master was the greatest being ever to appear in the entire Vast Expanse of Eternity. By ever to appear, I mean, he was the very first person who developed his own way of cultivation and rose to the apex of eternity, challenging those who hide in the shadows, only to be obliterated completely."
"You’ll know everything after receiving my Great Master’s legacy. For now, let’s talk about some other important matters. Let me tell you something, the Primordial Race was the first race ever to be born in the Vast Expanse of Eternity. The creatures of the Primordial Race don’t look the same, they can look exactly like humans, demons, or even trees. The primordial Race consisted of countless creatures of various shapes and sizes. Unfortunately, almost all Primordial Beings were wiped out by those living in "Beyond," hiding above in the shadows. Only the seeds of weakest Primordial Beings were left to hover endlessly in the void of infinite darkness."
"I don’t know the true name of my Great Master. He was called Sage by the entire Primordial Race by the time I started serving him. Oh, I’m not a Primordial Being, I came from a different race called the Mechanical Race. We and a few other races were born a few thousand years before the Primordial Race was completely destroyed. I can see that you are cultivating in both the Cosmic Cultivation System and the Soul Cultivation System. You might not know, but the Soul Cultivation System originated from the Spiritas Race. They are one of the ancient races that were born a few thousand years before the destruction of the Primordial Race."
"Spiritas developed a unique way of cultivation that suited them the most, thus appeared the Soul Cultivation System in Eternity for the first time. However, even they were almost wiped out by those living above, in the shadows. The reason being they were the closest supporters of Primordial Beings."
"Sage knew that everything related to him would be wiped out due to his single wish to transcend the Eternity. That is why, he created a Cosmic Field called Spiritarium. Spiritarium is void of all energy other than pure air. The creatures living in the Spiritarium can only cultivate in Soul Cultivation which is most suited to the Spiritas Race. Sage sent the entire Spiritas Race to the Spiritarium, saving them from extinction. Of course, most of them chose to follow Sage till the very end. Some were wiped out and some were able to live thanks to the last sacrifice made by Sage."
"A few million years after the destruction of Primordial Race, when I woke up. I was surprised to find that those races who appeared a few thousand years before the destruction of the Primordial Race developed a new cultivation system. They called it the Cosmic Cultivation System, and gave the name of Cosmic Civilization to themselves."
"Wait wait wait..."
Emrys suddenly raised his hand and stopped Radcliffe from speaking anymore. The secrets revealed in front of him were shocking.
Emrys started to process his thoughts from the very start. He noted down a few keywords such as Primrodial Race, Sage, the ones hiding above in the shadows, Spiritas Race and the origin of Soul Cultivation System, Spritarium, and more.
Talking about Spiritarium, this was his second time hearing this word. Elysia was the one to speak this word for the first time.
It turned out that the Spiritarium is a Cosmic Field.
Wait a moment!
What is a Cosmic Field?
Damn!
There are many things Emrys didn’t know that made him frustrated.
He took a deep breath, looked directly into Radcliffe’s blue eyes, and said, "I’ll ask a few questions. First, give me answers to those questions before speaking more of these secrets. Is that okay?"
Radcliffe, at this moment, also realized that Emrys was just a Twelfth Step Warrior. Moreover, since he is cultivating in the Soul Cultivation System, it is very obvious he is somehow related to Spiritarium. His Soul Cultivation was far weaker than his Cosmic Cultivation. It can be said that Emrys is a complete beginner. He must not know countless things and if he continued to speak, it would only confuse and frustrate Emrys.
Realizing his mistake, he nodded and responded with his agreement.
Emrys asked, "My first question is, what exactly is a Cosmic Field? I’m from a world called the Infinite Soul Star. There are countless such worlds out there in the universe, but I’ve never heard of something called Cosmic Field. What exactly is it?"
Nodding, Radcliffe explained, "You just said that you are from a world called the Infinite Soul Star. It is no wonder you are not aware of Cosmic Fields. You may know that there are countless worlds in a galaxy and countless galaxies in a universe, right?"
Seeing Emrys nodding his head, Radcliffe continued, "Cosmic Fields are a higher level of starry sky that lay beyond a Universe. A Cosmic Field houses countless universes, and your Infinite Soul Star is located somewhere in a corner of one of those universes."
It was shocking.
Yes, everything revealed was incredibly shocking for Emrys, but he took a deep breath and calmed himself. He was even surprised to realize that, for some reason, he could accept such an absurd explanation quite easily.
