Zhu Yan, Hao Lin, and Hao Ying cursed in their mind, calling Emrys a sly bastard in their hearts.

In order to not let Emrys and Xu Ling suspect anything, they can only agree with his suggestion and give any sort of useless advice.

Afterwards, they led Emrys to a small mound. Emrys was surprised to discover a vast space underground.

Yes, there was a huge space under the mound.

According to Zhu Yan and others, the Polar Ice Crystals are deep underground. All they need to do is go to the depths of this underground space and kill the Fifth Step Beast. Then they could farm a few Polar Ice Crystals. That is all they need to do.

Then they personally witnessed Emrys and Xu Ling entering the space hidden under the mound in this snowy land. About a minute later, when Emrys and Xu Ling’s figure disappeared, they sealed the entrance to the underground space.

They did not use some physical object such as a huge and round boulder to seal the entrance. Instead, they started laying down formations.

One of these three people, Hao Lin, was a Formation Master. He used a powerful sealing formation to completely block the entrance. They laughed loudly afterward, feeling proud of themselves.

They were sure that even a Seventh Step Warrior would not be able to break the seal and walk out of the underground space successfully. In fact, the seal was just an extra effort by them. They believe Emrys would die within five minutes after entering the underground space. It is because the space inside was poisonous air.

What is more, there are powerful Sixth Step and Seventh Step Beasts inside that poisoned underground space. They did not believe Emrys and Xu Ling would survive there for long.

Unfortunately, Emrys was not an ordinary person. Common sense might not work when it comes to him. If it was any other person, the plan made by Zhu Yan, Hao Lin, and Hao Ying might have worked effectively.

However, it was Emrys who possessed the ability to shift his position anywhere within five hundred meters of the area.

To be sure that Emrys does not escape, Zhu Yan and others waited outside the sealed entrance for ten minutes before walking away, going back to make a plan and steal the Snow Spirit Herb.

On the other hand, Emrys also waited for exactly ten minutes to make sure that Zhu Yan and others had gone. After ten minutes, he teleported outside with Xu Ling which surprised Xu Ling greatly.

It was the first time Emrys had shown her his ability to teleport after all.

The moment they appeared outside, they discovered Zhu Yan and others walking away. They were startled at first before hiding their presence.

It was then poison started affecting them. They realized they had been poisoned. They were very lucky to not venture deep within the poisonous space, otherwise, they might have been dead bodies by now.

Xu Ling immediately took out a few detoxification pills and swallowed them. She also gave Emrys these pills.

Emrys was surprised to see this, not expecting her to have detoxification pills. What is more, there were so many.

Xu Ling found it embarrassing, but she still told Emrys that she always keeps several pills with her. She has been unlucky for a long time. She has encountered several situations where she needed these pills. This was just one such situation. That is why, it has become her habit to keep all sorts of life-saving pills.

Emrys agreed with her at first, but a realization struck his mind. It might be because of her terrible luck that affected his own luck as well, causing him to fall into such a situation.

He has encountered many dangers from the moment he started traveling with her. She is one damn unlucky girl.

By then, they already knew what Zhu Yan and the others were aiming for. Emrys and Xu Ling were not in a hurry. They spent about an hour detoxifying their bodies first. Only after they had completely pushed out every bit of poison did they dare to stand up and head in the direction of the Snow Spirit Herb.

Not long after, they reached the place, only to find Zhu Yan and others planning to use some sort of bewitching powder to deal with Snow Beasts.

They did not immediately reveal themselves. Instead, they waited.

Emrys wanted to bait these three people just like how they tried to bait him and Xu Ling. His expression was very cold as he observed Zhu Yan and others making plans and acting based on their plans.

Their plan was simple. They wanted to use bewitching powder to confuse and weaken the Snow Beasts’ strength, and then lure them to a place further away from the Snow Spirit Herb. Then return to that location and take away the herb.

Their plan was indeed good and worked as well. They might have taken away Snow Spirit Herb as well if not for Emrys.

Emrys let them do all the hard work. He could have killed everyone, but he did not do so. He planned to let them suffer first and then kill them.

Even in a confused and weakened state, the two Snow Beasts were not creatures Zhu Yan and others could kill with their current strength.

Emrys knew this fact very well. In his eyes, it might take them some time to escape from the two beasts.

Sometimes, even if a plan is perfect, a variable might appear that could disturb the perfect plan entirely.

The same happened with Emrys.

When Zhu Yan and others lured the beast out, Emrys acted and took away the Snow Spirit Herb, not expecting Hao Ying to come there.

Obviously, Hao Ying left Zhu Yan and Hao Lin to keep busy the two beasts while he came to steal the treasure.

That is what led to the current situation where Emrys fooled them and led them inside a cave.
