Chapter 143: Ch 143: Qi Cultivation System

About a day earlier, Emrys and Xu Ling arrived at this valley which was more like an icy terrain.

After walking for a while, they discovered two Snow Beasts protecting a Snow Spirit Herb. This herb was different from Green Spirit Herb Emrys obtained back then. Not only was it filled with an icy aura, but Emrys also had a feeling that this herb could help him greatly.

In the end, he decided to take this herb away.

"Hao Lin, Hao Ying, I was the one who found the Snow Spirit Herb. Both of you go and stall the Snow Beasts!" The voice belonged to Zhu Yan and the voice appeared to be flustered and exasperated while coming closer and closer to the valley.

"Humph! If you say you were the one who found the Snow Spirit Herb then it means you were the one who found it. I will even say I was the one who found it! What an idiot. Who do you even think you are, Zhu Yan? How could Senior Brother Xiong even look upon you?" Hao Ying smirked coldly.

"You are courting death!" Zhu Yan’s voice sounded out again.

"Haha. Whether I am courting death or not, you will find out very soon. Hao Lin, go and stall him and wait for me to take the Snow Spirit Herb." Hao Ying laughed loudly.

Afterwards, sounds of fighting rang out.

In the middle of the valley, the sound of laughter could be heard. Hao Ying had already reached the middle of the valley. In the distance, there was the sound of a fight happening and further in the distance, there was the sound of two angry Snow Beasts’ roars.

But Hao Ying’s laughter quickly stopped when he reached into the middle of the valley. As if his neck was clutched by somebody, his voice couldn’t come out. His eyes were opened wide in shock as if he saw a ghost before his eyes.

Hao Ying almost thought that he had just seen a ghost. It is because Emrys was standing in front of him.

At this moment, Emrys was coldly staring at Hao Ying. That ice-cold expression on Emrys’s face made Hao Ying think that Emrys was not looking at him but at a dead person. As for Hao Ying, he was totally stunned; he could only stare blankly at Emrys after crying out in alarm.

Emrys suddenly chuckled. His laughter was extremely strange. In the ears of Hao Ying, his laughter sounded more like a piece of sinister music. This made Hao Ying’s heart unable to bear, and he began to tremble with fear.

He could still recall how they thought they’d fooled Emrys and Xu Ling, and successfully sent them to their death.
