Chapter 140: Ch 140: Xander Starling

Emrys felt something different about this painting, as if it was out of the ordinary.

From afar, the painting appeared simple. It was the painting of a mountain peak. A man could be seen sitting there, with a blade in his lap. The sky was vast and blue, with some white clouds. This was it. There was nothing more to this painting.

"Sir, are you talking to me?" Emrys showed his courage and said.

"It’s just two of us here, does it seem like I’m talking to someone else?" The man turned around. His face couldn’t be seen clearly. It was like a fog. This caused Emrys to think of Ling Xiaolong, however, the feeling Ling Xiaolong gave him was many times more profound.

"Truly... Is it really me?" Emrys’s voice trembled, filled with shock.

This was his first time in this hellish world which is also a fragment of an extremely ancient world when the Cosmic Cultivation System was still thriving. "The recognition of Sun & Moon Blade?" Emrys stared at this man in confusion. He could not understand what this man was really trying to say. He shifted his gaze and looked at the blade in the man’s hand, and could not help but think that the man was talking about this blade.

However, for some reason, he could not see the true appearance of the blade. It was as if a layer of mist was blocking his eyesight.

"That’s right, you being able to obtain the recognition of the Sun & Moon Blade is your good fortune. Master told me to wait, and someone will definitely appear who is worthy of inheriting my Sun & Moon Sword." The man spoke in a manner that showed he was thinking of someone.
