Walker Of The Blue Sky

Chapter 116: Ch 116: A Huge Shadow

Chapter 116: Ch 116: A Huge Shadow

The increase in Emrys’s cultivation was not much compared to the transformation his soul had gone through.

He tried to look at his soul again but no longer found it divided into three portions within one translucent form. In fact, all he could see was the translucent form of his soul, and that was all.

He also tried to sense the deathly energy that had invaded his body, but it had somehow disappeared. He could not sense a single bit of deathly energy, neither in his body nor in his soul.

He looked around, and the lake that was once filled with a deathly aura was now entirely clean and clear. He could now easily see the white bone powder he was standing on.

Not far away from him, Mu Bailing was lying unconscious. Fortunately, when the whirlpool of light started devouring the deathly energy from the pond, it also extracted every bit of deathly energy that had invaded her body and devoured it during the process.

Emrys was still puzzled as to why Mu Bailing risked her life for him when he was nothing more than a stranger to her.

Although he was standing at the bottom of the pond, the water level started from a few inches above his head. This place was devoid of water.

Emrys took a deep breath, feeling the clarity and purity of the air around him. The transformation of the lake and the absence of the deathly energy gave him a sense of relief. The once ominous and foreboding place had become serene and almost sacred.

As he stood there, absorbing the changes, Emrys suddenly thought of something. He closed his eyes and focused. As he extended his hand, a shadowy mist began to swirl around his fingers. The mist felt powerful, controllable, and his own, unlike previously when he felt troubled controlling the mist.

Other than the dark mist, he also felt a surge of malevolent energy inside his body. This malevolent energy was actually the cursed energy that he could now control.

Emrys thought that his Soul Marks might have gone through some kind of transformation as well, so he hurriedly looked at the information of his soul marks.

.....

[Soul Mark: Walker Of Blue Sky (Mortal).

Quality: Blue (Mythical).

Race: Void Phoenix.

Attribute: Space.

Talent: 30% increase in power when using space skills.

Origin Skill: Node Shift (Proficient), Spatial Blade (Introductory).]

.....

[Soul Mark: Lord of the Cursed Abyss.

Quality: White (Legendary).

Race: Eternal Abyss Cursed Dragon.

Attributes: Curse, Darkness, Abyss.

Talent: Strength is doubled in darkness or a cursed place or in the Abyss.

Origin Skill: Cursed Breath.]

.....

Unsurprisingly, there were no changes to his Soul Marks which disappointed him slightly. But then he smiled. At the very least, the Lord of the Cursed Abyss now completely belongs to him. He can now also use the Origin Skill, Cursed Breath freely.

Just like the Origin Skill of his first Soul Mark, the Node Shift, there were limitations as to how many times he could use the Cursed Breath. Because the second Soul Mark’s quality is still White (Legendary), he can only use the Cursed Breath one time a day.

However, along with the nurturing of this soul mark and the enhancement of its quality, the number of times he could execute Cursed Breath will continue to increase.

Inside his heart, Emrys felt anxious to return to the Infinite Soul Star. By now, he already knew that this place was not located in the Infinite Soul Star, but somewhere else in space. He has a feeling that if he doesn’t return to the Infinite Soul Star, he won’t be able to obtain the Soul Orbs needed to nurture his soul marks.

Emrys also found it fortunate that his cultivation did not break past the level of Gold Soul Master. It is because he never tempered his body with spatial attributed energy after breaking through to the Silver Soul Master.

He needed time, a lot of time to do that.

Otherwise, if his cultivation continued to increase without the tempering of attributed energy and nourishment of Soul Marks, he would become exceedingly weak compared to other Soul Masters.

"Buzz!"

Just when Emrys was feeling fortunate, an incomparably terrifying pressure descended from the sky and landed on his body!

"Kacha!"

A cracking sound was heard. Under the pressure of that terrifying pressure, Emrys could only feel that his bones were dislocated, as if they were about to shatter.

"Wha...at happened?"

Emrys was shocked upon feeling the pressure. With difficulty, he moved his head and looked at Mu Bailing, only to find that the pressure only affected him, not her. It was as if somebody was targeting especially him.

Emrys endured the pressure and struggled to stand straight, but at this time, another wave of terrifying pressure descended from the sky and pressed down on his body, causing his body to instantly fall to the ground. He felt as if he was going to be crushed to death by the pressure.

"What is happening now? Where is this pressure coming from?" Emrys could not help but shout loudly within his heart. Due to the tremendous pressure, he could not even move his finger.

Fortunately, the pressure disappeared after a few moments.

Emrys gasped for breaths and slowly raised his head to look at the water above his head. He was instantly shocked when his eyes were fixed on a huge shadow that appeared in the water at some unknown point in time.

This shadow was a hundred thousand feet tall, and it had a ferocious expression. It held something in its hand, and its entire body was enveloped by a strong death aura. Just a single glance at it caused Emrys to feel a chill run down his spine.

It was truly terrifying. That aura seemed as if it wanted to take away the lives of all living beings in the world.

Most importantly, this shadow appeared to be ancient.

Emrys’s heart trembled. This shadow was truly too terrifying. Its ferocious aura was the heaviest amongst anyone he had seen or felt before. Maybe, even Elysia could not compare with it.

Or maybe she could, she just had not shown her everything to Emrys. After all, with his current strength, even if she displays only 1% of her strength, Emrys may die instantly.

Emrys was focused on the shadow and felt as if just a single glance from this ferocious shadow was enough to take away his soul.
