Chapter 104: Ch 104: Chase

Mu Bailing threw Emrys on the boat-shaped tool and jumped on it. Then she threw three large sparkling stones at a small, round groove inscribed with formation. The boat immediately started flying and shot forward at high speed.

The speed was quite fast. It immediately created a huge distance between it and Qin Huxiao.

Qin Huxiao’s eyes focused as he said, "I didn’t expect that she would actually possess a powerful flying artifact. It seems her identity isn’t simple. That flying artifact is also very fast."

The people standing behind Qin Huxiao nodded in agreement. None had expected Mu Bailing to possess a flying artifact. Flying artifacts are very rare and valuable items. Even Qin Huxiao lacked such an artifact. When necessary or when he needed to go somewhere far with more than one person, he usually relied on his sword to fly.

Turning to his companions, Qin Huxiao commanded, "Let’s chase them. As long as we keep tracking their auras, everything will be fine. Once her flying artifact’s energy source depletes, we can easily catch up!"

A cold smile spread across the faces of the group. They harbored deep resentment towards Emrys for the beating they had received earlier. Now, with the chance for revenge within their grasp, they readily agreed with Qin Huxiao. Immediately, they all took to the air, flying at full speed in pursuit.

Meanwhile, Mu Bailing drove the boat-shaped flying artifact at a rapid speed. Her speed was already quite fast, but she could still feel that Qin Huxiao and others’ auras were chasing her from behind. Furthermore, even with the speed of her flying artifact, it did not seem like she had left the other party too far behind.

She can tell that it must be Qin Huxiao. Only he is capable of keeping up with her flying artifact when it comes to speed.

Generally speaking, Qin Huxiao could fly on his own. However, if there are other people, then he either has to make use of a flying artifact like her or use his sword.

She could imagine that Qin Huxiao must be chasing after her with others on his sword. Since he is many times stronger than her, his speed can easily keep up with her flying artifact.

The flying artifact moved through the forest. Nearly a day had passed by the time they flew out of the forest. Mu Bailing was worried because the consumption of energy was huge. Out of three Energy Crystals, only two were left. The speed of the flying artifact had become somewhat slow. It was clearly a sign that it was lacking in energy.

Mu Bailing was a little worried. She did not know what choice she should make. After thinking for a while, she decided to keep moving forward. She would make plans after the energy of the flying artifact was exhausted.

Another two days passed just like that. They were running and being chased after by Qin Huxiao and others.

Mu Bailing just could not understand why Qin Huxiao was so persistent about chasing them.

"Emrys, do you know where we are?"

Mu Bailing asked Emrys. It has been three days since they were running. Emrys was heavily wounded and could not even move on his own. She had already used all her healing medicines to cure Ye Yun and was left with nothing so she could only hope for Emrys to recover on his own.

However, she noticed that his condition was getting worse as time passed. His injuries were not healing; instead, they were worsening. Emrys could feel a burning sensation all over his body. On top of that, the wounds were itching, causing a continuous tingling and irritation that kept Emrys uncomfortable these past three days.

Mu Bailing was worried about Emrys but could not do anything.

She waited but no one answered her even after a long time. Mu Bailing turned her eyes and saw that Emrys had unknowingly fallen unconscious. His face was as white as a sheet of paper.

"Emrys, what happened to you?"

Seeing this, Mu Bailing’s pretty face slightly wrinkled. She hurriedly stepped forward and took Emrys’s body in her arms. When she placed her hand on Emrys’s forehead, she could feel it was incomparably hot.

Obviously, Emrys’s injuries had reached an irrepressible stage, causing him to have a high fever. This proved that his injuries had already worsened to some degree. If this continued, he might die.

These past few days, she also tried to use her qi on Emrys’s body to keep his injuries in check, however, his body always rejected qi. It was as if Qi was a virus and his body had an automatic defense system that was blocking the virus from invading his system.

She was helpless at this moment since she could do nothing about Emrys’s condition. But she still tried her best to control Emrys’s injuries as much as possible.

At this moment, her flying artifact’s energy was also depleted. Its flying speed became slower and slower. Gradually, the flying artifact landed in a valley. This valley was not Mysterious Sky Valley but a different valley. It seemed to be filled with a thick layer of fog, and there was a faint deathly aura lingering in the air.

Behind them, Qin Huxiao and others kept shrinking the distance between them and Emrys. Soon, they also arrived at the valley.

"They are inside this valley. I guess their flying artifact’s energy source has run out. Let’s go. We will make this place their burial ground!"

Qin Huxiao said while leading the group. The eyes of the remaining dozens of warriors sparkled with a bloodthirsty light.

On the other side, a look of disappointment appeared on Mu Bailing’s pretty face as she came out of the artifact and brought Emrys out as well. After that, she put away the flying artifact. Then she looked around.

The surroundings were somewhat sinister and made her body involuntarily tremble.

Mu Bailing then carried Emrys on her back and started to walk towards the depth of the valley.

"Where do you think you are going?"

About half an hour later, a cold voice sounded behind Mu Bailing. Mu Bailing turned her eyes and saw dozens of figures behind her. Each of them had a cold aura on them. Their eyes were filled with killing intent as they looked at Mu Bailing and Emrys.

It was the group of experts led by Qin Huxiao.

Mu Bailing’s expression instantly turned ugly when she saw these people. After three days of chase, they were finally here.

But she still did not give up. She quickly moved towards the depth of the valley, hoping to find a safe place to hide or somehow escape the pursuit of these relentless people.
