Chapter 119 -: 118 A nightmare.[2]

"What the hell..."

Dave’s mouth fell open the moment he turned around. His eyes went wide with shock.

"T-there are... so many..." Marie took a shaky step back.

Her face turned pale white. Her voice trembled as she spoke.

Ryan’s face was also deathly pale.

Everyone looked like they had seen a ghost.

Even Lana, who was always calm and brave, had turned completely pale.

"What the fuck is this..." Lana stammered.

Sweat broke out on her forehead. Her back was soaked in cold sweat.

"How... how are there so many of them?"

They were completely surrounded.

A huge pack of Time-Rewinding Purple Wolves stood all around them.

There were hundreds. No matter which way they looked, they only saw glowing purple wolves hiding between the purple trees.

Their bright purple eyes burned with pure bloodlust. Thick drool dripped from their sharp, open mouths.

"When did they surround us...?" Ryan muttered in a weak voice.

They had not felt or heard anything until the low grinding sound of teeth reached their ears.

It was like the wolves had appeared out of nowhere.

"What’s that...?" Lana’s eyes suddenly narrowed.

She stared into the distance. Terror filled her face. She took one slow step back.

The other three quickly looked in the same direction.

The moment they saw it, goosebumps rose all over their bodies.

"What the fuck is that?!" Dave cried out.

Even he, the bravest one in the group, felt his scalp go numb with fear.

A massive wolf stepped out from the crowd.

It was enormous, as big as a house. Its body was covered in old scars and fresh wounds.

A long, thick horn grew from its forehead, much bigger and sharper than the others.

The giant wolf walked forward slowly and calmly. Its glowing purple eyes locked onto the four students.

Then it threw its head back.

"Hawllll!!!!!!!!!"

The roar was so loud and deep that the ground itself seemed to shake.

The sound echoed through the entire purple forest.

"No..." Lana muttered. Her voice was filled with disbelief. "We can’t... How can this happen..."

She started to mumble weakly. Her legs trembled badly.

Just looking at the giant wolf and the huge pack made her heart sink.

It felt like complete doom for their team.

They were trapped with no way out. Tears of fear almost came to her eyes as despair washed over her.

"Lana!"

Just as she was losing all hope, Marie spoke up.

Even though Marie was terrified too, she looked at Lana with firm eyes.

Her hands and legs were shaking, but she took a deep breath and calmed her racing heart.

"Don’t lose your composure!" Marie said.

Her voice still trembled with fear, but it was steady.

"We are all at 97 kills. Only Dave is at 87. If we can just kill 22 more wolves, we will all be safe and move to the next floor together!"

Lana stared at her. Her heart was pounding hard in her chest from fear.

Cold sweat ran down her back. For a moment, she felt too scared to even think.

Dave and Ryan stepped closer.

Even in this terrifying situation, they looked at her with strong belief in their eyes.

"You can do it, Lana," Ryan said firmly.

"Just lead us through this! We will all survive!"

Dave placed a strong, trusted hand on her shoulder.

"We believe in you," he said, giving her the courage she needed.

Lana, who had been on the verge of collapse just seconds ago, looked at her three friends.

Their words cut through her despair like a light in the dark.

She let out a heavy, shaky breath and straightened her back.

Strength slowly returned to her body.

"Thanks, guys..." she said, her voice becoming clearer and stronger.

Her gaze then locked onto the giant wolf that was watching them silently with its cold purple eyes.

"We can escape this!" Lana declared.

She looked around one last time. Her mind worked as fast as it could, searching desperately for any way out.

And then... "there!"

She spotted the only direction where the wolves stood a little thinner.

She quickly pointed north.

"Dave and I will take the front," Lana said, her voice now firm and full of confidence.

"Marie and Ryan will stay at the back. Is that understood?"

The three of them looked at her with complete trust. They nodded together.

"Understood!" they replied in loud, strong voices.

Lana nodded. She turned her eyes back to the giant wolf.

It still stood there calmly, watching them in silence. Its glowing purple eyes did not move.

"On the count of three... we rush out," she said.

"Three..." Lana took one steady step toward the north, keeping her eyes locked on the giant wolf.

"Two..." The other three also took a step forward.

The giant wolf still did not react. It stayed completely still.

Lana’s eyes shone with hope.

"One... CHARGE!!!" she roared.

She dashed forward toward the north.

Dave ran right beside her, raising his

heavy mace high.

Ryan and Marie followed closely behind them.

"Infinite cast!" Lana shouted.

A muddy brown circle formed on both her hands. She thrust them forward.

The ground began to shake violently.

Thousands of sharp earth spikes rose into the air, ready to strike.

"Die!" she screamed with all her power.

Dave shouted at the same time, "Infinite cast: Ten Elephants Strength!"

He jumped high into the air. His arms swelled with massive muscles.

Then he slammed his mace down into the ground with full force.

BOOM!

A huge crater exploded where the mace hit. Dirt and stones flew everywhere, scattering the wolves in front of them.

Lana nodded with satisfaction.

She was just about to release her earth spikes when...

A heavy silence fell over everything.

"Lana..."

The weak voices of Ryan and Marie came from behind her.

Before she could turn, a hand suddenly fell right in front of her feet.

Thud!

It was a delicate, slender hand.

Marie’s hand.

The world seemed to stop.

Lana froze. Her eyes went wide. Slowly, very slowly, she turned her head back.

The moment she saw what was behind her, her face turned completely white.

Her mouth fell open in pure horror. Her eyes filled with terror and disbelief.

Her whole body went cold as ice. A scream got stuck in her throat.

"Marie!!!!"
