Unrivaled Soldier in the City

Chapter 410 410 Get Lost

Chapter 410 410 Get Lost

Upon hearing this, Lin Kuang's expression grew solemn. He could tell Inoue Kenta wasn't lying. However, the person Inoue Kenta spoke of had to be a terrifying figure. Lin Kuang had a premonition—a gut feeling, even—that this person would be extraordinarily powerful.

"What is his status in the Island Country?" Lin Kuang asked, looking at Inoue Kenta again.

"I don't know, but I think he must be with the military," Inoue Kenta replied truthfully, looking at Lin Kuang. "All of us have always been serving the military, so I'm guessing he must be one of them. But I'm not sure if that's really the case. Perhaps he's from the Cabinet."

Hearing this, Lin Kuang thought for a moment and asked again, "Inoue Kenta, what are their names? What are their positions? You should remember at least some of them, right?"

"Yes."

"Good. Write down the names and positions of everyone you know," Lin Kuang said indifferently.

"Alright," Inoue Kenta agreed, and Yang Wucheng promptly arranged for someone to take notes.

Lin Kuang tied Kubo Takumi to a chair and woke him. Kubo Takumi awoke with a groan, his eyes scanning the interrogation room. The first person he saw was Inoue Kenta.

"Senior Brother, you… you're here too?" Kubo Takumi stammered.

"Yes, I'm here, Takumi. I never imagined we would be reunited like this," Inoue Kenta said with a sense of helplessness.

"Damn it! Damn it all!" Kubo Takumi roared in fury. "It's all because of these despicable Chinese!"

Seeing this, Lin Kuang slapped Kubo Takumi twice across the face.

"Behave yourself. This is a military district, not your Island Country," Lin Kuang stated calmly.

Kubo Takumi glared furiously at Lin Kuang, murderous intent swirling in his eyes, wishing he could kill him on the spot. Lin Kuang couldn't be bothered with him and directly used the Bone-dislocating Hand. In no time, the man began to howl in pain, his screams agonizingly shrill.

To Kubo Takumi, the short span of ten minutes felt as long as a century.

A little while later, before Lin Kuang even had to ask, the man confessed everything. He didn't dare hold back; the sensation was more painful than death by a thousand cuts. From Kubo Takumi, Lin Kuang learned that everything had been orchestrated by the Island Country's military, and that Kubo Takumi was merely the person in charge here. He knew nothing else.

"So that's how it is. All directed by the Island Country's military. Tsk, tsk, it seems the hawkish faction over there really wants to pick a fight with us," Lin Kuang said with a cold laugh. If only I could, I'd take out every last one of them. Those bastards are despicable; they all deserve to die!

Zhang Guodong and Yang Wucheng's expressions also turned grim. However, this matter was not something they could decide.

"Lin Kuang, let's leave this to the higher-ups. This is out of our hands. I'll immediately arrange to have them all sent to Yanjing," Yang Wucheng said, looking at Lin Kuang.

Lin Kuang nodded. He understood as well that this wasn't a decision he could make; it was up to the top brass. Yang Wucheng began making arrangements to send everyone away, including the captured men, the researchers, and Huo Feifei.

"Big Brother Kuang, I'm leaving. We have to keep in touch," Huo Feifei said, standing beside Lin Kuang, reluctant to leave.

"Don't worry," Lin Kuang said with a smile, his hand naturally stroking Huo Feifei's head. "I'll contact you when I have time, Feifei."

Huo Feifei smiled, enjoying the gesture and looking exceptionally cute.

"Alright, you should go. Let me know when you arrive," Lin Kuang said with another laugh, ruffling her hair again.

Huo Feifei nodded obediently. "Mhm, I understand, Big Brother Kuang. I'm leaving now."

With that, she stepped in front of Lin Kuang and gave him a tight hug, her warm red lips gently planting a kiss on his cheek. In an instant, Huo Feifei's pretty face turned crimson. After all, it was her first kiss.

"Big Brother Kuang, I'm off. I hope we'll see each other again," Huo Feifei said with a flushed face. Perhaps out of shyness, she didn't wait for Lin Kuang to reply and boarded the helicopter.

Inoue Kenta, Sato Ichiro, Kubo Takumi, and the researchers also boarded the helicopter. Escorting them back were Zhang Tianyou, Sun Lei, Li Liang, and Hu Yang, along with several elite warriors.

The helicopter's propellers began to spin, and the aircraft shot up into the sky, heading straight for Yanjing.

Watching the helicopter disappear, Zhang Guodong smiled faintly. "Old Yang, Lin Kuang, now that things here are handled, it's time for me to leave as well."

"Go on then. You're not welcome here anyway," Yang Wucheng said grumpily. The thought of last night's expensive meal still made him feel the pinch.

"Look at you, still so petty. With an attitude like that, it's no wonder you'll never amount to much!" Zhang Guodong said, shaking his head and enraging Yang Wucheng so much his nose was practically crooked.

"Get out! Get out! Just get the hell out of here!" Yang Wucheng couldn't help but roar.

Seeing this, Lin Kuang slapped a hand to his forehead. These two commanders were so undignified.

The two bantered as they said their goodbyes. Before departing, Zhang Guodong patted Lin Kuang's shoulder. Without saying a word, he turned and left.

"Uncle Yang, I should be on my way as well," Lin Kuang said to Yang Wucheng with a smile.

"Alright, go on. What are you planning to do next?" Yang Wucheng asked with a smile.

"I'm paying Chu Zhongtian a visit tonight. It's time for us to settle things," Lin Kuang replied with a smile, though his tone was icy.

Hearing this, Yang Wucheng nodded. "Go ahead. When you're done, just send him directly to me."

"Then I'll have to trouble you, Uncle Yang," Lin Kuang said gratefully.

Yang Wucheng's meaning was clear: it was safer to keep him in the military district. Given Chu Zhongtian's status and the Energy behind him, he could easily be spirited away otherwise.

"You brat, since when are you so formal with me? Now get going," Yang Wucheng scolded with a laugh.

Lin Kuang nodded with a smile. "Alright then, I'll be going now, Uncle Yang. See you tonight."

"Mhm." Yang Wucheng smiled and nodded, and Lin Kuang drove away.

As he left, Lin Kuang wasn't in a great mood, but he was well aware that some things were simply beyond his control.

"Forget it. If I can't do anything about it, why waste time thinking about it? If there's a mission, I'll do it. Overthinking is just exhausting," Lin Kuang murmured to himself, a smile slowly spreading across his face.

With that thought, his mood instantly brightened. He drove straight for Yang Ruotong's house. He missed her, and he also deeply missed the little girl, Xinxin.
