Chapter 1303: Interview
Chapter 1303: Interview
"An encounter is fate, everyone has to learn to cherish it. That’s how every relationship can last long." Jasmine lifted her milk cup. "No one would give endlessly without an equivalent response; naturally, she would get heart-weary and start doubting the relationship.""I hope Dr. Shelby will gradually see the light." Everett Morgan raised his eyebrows, "It’s young people’s affair; we better not meddle."
Ian Shelby’s car headed towards a well-known internet-famous breakfast shop in Riventhal.
Jocelyn Morgan’s phone rang in her bag; she withdrew her hand from Ian Shelby’s palm, took out her phone from her purse, and saw it was Cecilia Dunn calling, so she quickly answered, "Hello, Cecilia."
"Miss, you finally turned on your phone!" Cecilia Dunn’s anxious voice came through. "How have you been? Are you alright? Are you at death’s door?"
"Huh?" Jocelyn Morgan almost couldn’t react.
Cecilia Dunn’s voice came through again, "I read the news yesterday and learned your first love didn’t end well."
"No, it’s not as scary as you say," Jocelyn Morgan hurriedly explained.
"Huh? You’re still rushing headlong into trouble?" Cecilia Dunn was shocked, "Did I worry for nothing? Haven’t you seen the news? Your boyfriend brought another woman home for the night!"
Awkward!
Cecilia Dunn’s voice was so loud that even Ian Shelby, who was driving, caught a bit of it.
"It was a misunderstanding." Jocelyn Morgan quickly explained, "It’s fine now. We’re together and planning to go hiking."
"A misunderstanding?" Cecilia Dunn was clueless but relieved. "You had your phone off yesterday; you freaked me out! But I have an interview today, so I’ve been busy preparing materials and running to the records office several times. I really couldn’t spare the time to find you."
"I understand. Sweetheart, it’s all okay now, really," Jocelyn Morgan said in a light and cheerful tone, "Good luck with your interview, you can do it!"
"The competition is fierce this time," Cecilia Dunn sighed, "But I have prepared for a long time, so hopefully, I won’t fail too badly!"
"Yes, yes, good luck! Waiting for your good news."
"I’m going to drive now. Bye-bye!"
"Okay, bye-bye, drive safely."
After the call ended, Cecilia Dunn started her car. Her meticulously prepared resume was on the passenger seat, and she was dressed quite formally today with a refined makeup.
Originally in a good mood, but thinking of Vera Ford, that little minx, Cecilia Dunn decided to finish the interview and take a good stand for Jocelyn!
Just like Jocelyn had risked everything to deal with scumbags for her in the past.
The trashy men and women deserve some serious punishment!
She hit the gas pedal, and the car raced away!
The Dalton Group, with its towering buildings rising into the clouds, glistened under the morning light.
Under Trevor’s leadership, this company has become increasingly robust.
At eight o’clock in the morning, various departments were operating methodically, with everyone dressed in formal attire, full of vitality.
In the Chinese-style president’s office, the windows were bright, and the morning light poured through.
Simon entered and handed a list to Trevor, "President, here’s the shortlist of interviewees. They have been notified and will come for the interviews today. The elimination rate is 50%."
"You’re usually very busy; hire another assistant for the president’s office," Trevor said while sitting at his desk, reviewing the document in his hand without raising his head. "You choose yourself."
"Alright." Simon nodded, then asked, "Will you come down to take a look at the interviews later?"
"We’ll see." He hadn’t finished his work yet, so he put down the document, opened his laptop, and grasped the mouse, his deep-set eyes staring at the screen’s report.
Simon nodded and then turned away.
On the ground floor of The Dalton Group, in the spotless lobby that could reflect shadows, there were thirty interviewees today, evenly split between men and women.
Cecilia Dunn was one of them, arriving just on time, almost late.
