Treasure Hunting System: The Ocean Conquerer

Chapter 396 - 215: Sun Arm Guard_2

Chapter 396 - 215: Sun Arm Guard_2

Then this weapon must have capabilities for both close and distant combat.

It should be able to gather light during the day and shoot scorching rays.

As for whether it had other abilities, she couldn’t say for sure.

At this moment, the two of them saw Alka and Simon walking up from the lower deck, apparently engrossed in conversation. As Alka and Simon approached, they saw Chadite and Jason not far away, and waved at them.

When Chadite and Jason went over, Alka looked at Chadite and asked, "What kind of weapon do you want?"

"Huh?" Chadite was a bit bewildered by the sudden question.

"There are still some materials left on the ship. I was thinking of crafting a suitable weapon for you, since you don’t have an appropriate one right now, do you?" Alka repeated.

Chadite nodded. Indeed, she currently had no suitable weapon. Although she used her hands and legs for attacks, and her legs were equipped with amplifiers to enhance their power, these couldn’t truly be considered conventional weapons. In combat, she primarily adapted to different enemies by tying on specific bandages engraved with targeted Spells. However, these ultimately only provided a slight amplification effect—better than nothing, one might say.

Chadite thought for a moment. Unable to come up with anything specific right away, she replied, "Anything that can enhance my attacks without hindering my combat style would be fine."

Hearing this, Alka pondered for a moment, then nodded. "No problem. I’ll work out a design and discuss the details with you later."

Then Alka turned his head toward Jason. Seeing Jason’s expectant gaze, Alka silently turned his head away again.

"What about me? What about me? Didn’t you call me over too?" Jason asked hurriedly.

"Huh? I mainly called for Chadite; you just came over on your own," Alka said helplessly, spreading his hands. The implication was clear: Alka had no intention of making a weapon for him.

"TCH." Jason waved his hand dismissively and walked away with a scornful look.

"I see you seem to use firearms. I have some experience in that area," Simon said with a smile, watching Jason start to leave.

Hearing this, Jason immediately trotted back, slung an arm over Simon’s shoulder, and began pulling him toward the manufacturing hall below. "Really? Actually, I’ve been wanting to modify these things I have on me..."

Watching the two of them recede into the distance, Alka shook his head with a helpless smile.

After the two had left, Chadite looked at Alka and whispered in his ear, "Don’t forget Juanlu."

Alka slapped his forehead, only then remembering.

"I knew you’d forgotten about it," Chadite said with a sigh.

"Haha, thanks," Alka chuckled. Then he hurried off towards the dining hall.

Along their forward route, the concentration of Magic Power in the air grew increasingly dense the further they sailed. This had allowed Juanlu, who would have originally needed two to three months to ascend to Three Spirals, to successfully achieve his breakthrough the night before last. Combined with the Spells Simon had brought, Juanlu had already begun to construct his own combat system. Alka also planned to start preparing some suitable Spell Equipment for him once Juanlu finished this construction.

Upon entering the dining hall, Alka saw Juanlu at a table, studying what appeared to be some recipes. Seeing Alka, who seemed to have come specifically to find him, Juanlu looked up with a curious expression.

Alka sat down beside him and asked, "Have you finished constructing your Spell system?"

Juanlu nodded. "Almost. I just need to study and master these Spells more thoroughly."

"In that case, have you thought about what kind of equipment you want?"

Hearing this, Juanlu thought for a moment, and the Bat he favored appeared in his hand. "I quite like this weapon. It’s versatile for both close and long-range combat. How about modifying it?"

Alka looked at the Bat in Juanlu’s hand and nodded. Then, after a moment’s thought, he asked, "How about a Shield?"

"A Shield? Hmm... alright," Juanlu mused, nodding. He then added, "An Arm Shield that can be worn on the forearm would be good. Nothing too large."

Hearing this, Alka smiled. "In that case, you can just go to the Treasure Vault and get one. We acquired a decent small round shield last time that should meet your requirements."

"Alright."

Alka then went to his room and quickly began sketching designs for equipment suited to Chadite’s current combat style. Some time ago during their voyage, Alka had trained briefly with her on the ship, so he had a general understanding of her current fighting methods. With Simon now on board, Alka’s designs could be more ambitious.

Once he had a preliminary design, he took the sketches to Chadite. After all, it was a weapon being custom-made for Chadite, so naturally, she needed to see the design and offer her input. After they chatted for a while and modified some details on the sketches, the plan was finalized.

Alka then began the forging process in the manufacturing hall with Simon. It had to be said that Simon, a formally trained Mechanic and one hailing from the Confusing Sea Region, knew far more than Alka, who was largely self-taught in such matters. While working with him, Alka constantly learned from Simon.

Truly, as expected of someone from the Holy Machine Church, who revered the Wise One; their teaching methods were superb.

Alka’s entire learning process was exceptionally smooth.

He could clearly feel his forging skills improving rapidly, and his mind was constantly being filled with all sorts of theoretical knowledge.
