"The target has taken the bait."

Shortly after the convoy carrying Su Ying departed, another group quietly slipped out of Polaris.

They took the underground pathways, which were constructed when Pasha's foster father ruled Polaris, creating numerous secret tunnels underground. Some were destroyed after the Corpse Ghost war, but others remain intact, with certain criminal organizations using these underground tunnels to infiltrate the outskirts of Polaris.

"There really is an insider in Polaris."

"I didn't expect Old Cotter to be bribed by them." Jie Se muttered with a cigar hanging from his mouth, his shiny bald head flickering under the light of the monitor.

He quickly extinguished the cigar butt and turned to his companion, saying, "Tell the fifth squad to prepare to close the net."

"Also, redeploy the forces from the settlement."

Although Jie Se holds a position within Polaris, he is somewhat of a minor leader. Initially, he led a group independently, establishing his own settlement in the wilderness. "Yes." The woman seemed somewhat surprised, saying, "Your Chinese is really good."

"My father is Chinese." Su Ying smiled gently.

The woman was surprised upon hearing this. She carefully looked at Su Ying and said, "Overseas Chinese? No wonder!"

"No." Su Ying shook her head and said, "He said he is Chinese."

"From H City in the South."

The woman was taken aback upon hearing this, then revealed a thoughtful expression. Before she could ask more, a Brotherhood member signaled Su Ying to get into the car. Su Ying sweetly smiled at the woman and then got into another armored vehicle.

The woman watched Su Ying's departing figure and decided to report this matter after a moment.

Although they had some connections with Polaris, they really didn't know Su Ying's father was a Chinese person, and very likely not an overseas Chinese, which was quite interesting.

The armored vehicle carrying Su Ying drove off in another direction.

About half an hour later.

Su Ying suddenly heard a loud noise coming from afar. She turned and looked back; although she couldn't see the mushroom cloud rising, she saw a flash of light across the sky in the distance.

"You shouldn't return to Polaris for the next two days. Stay at the Brotherhood's base for now; it's safer there."

Though they successfully took the 'Gospel Book,' the special operations team suffered heavy casualties; now their mission was to rescue the special operations team at all costs to ensure the 'Gospel Book' reached its destination.

The other news made Su Ying feel sorrowful because Leon also perished during last night's action.

Leon was a High Tier combat member of the Brotherhood.
