Transmigrated As The Final Villain of a Death Game

Chapter 287: Partial Awakening [ 10 ]

Chapter 287: Partial Awakening [ 10 ]

The wall crumbled at the touch of his spine-katana, sending a powerful shockwave that decimated a whole portion of the palace belonging to these filthy demons.

Dust and debris shot outward, turning into powerful projectiles that rained down on the city. Buildings were decimated instantly, and the demons who were supposed to be guarding Helheim were alerted, reappearing in front of me only a second later.

I watched in amusement as two Demon Kings arrived. Both of them were by no means weak. If anything, I could tell they were slightly under Wilhelm’s power level. Comparing them to Godfrey, though? They weren’t even close.

I could probably swat them away and kill them instantly. Was this really what it was like to have absolute power? It felt a little lonely, to be honest. These powerful beings, which would trouble me so much just a few minutes ago, were now mere insects to 1/10th of my power.

What should my goal be now that I could put all these powerful people under my foot whenever I pleased?

"..."

No...

My goal is still the same.

Make it to the end alongside Clementine, and make sure demons haven’t wiped out the world. After all, where would my children live? Where would Clementine and I live?

Nothing had changed after all.

I narrowed my eyes at the two Demon Kings. Their energy coursed throughout their bodies, each sporting a different kind of Gift. One of their Gifts felt like some form of acceleration, while the other was full-on Fire Manipulation.

Combining that with their Darkness Manipulation, their Gifts seemed incredibly fearsome. If anything, I felt some sense of danger heading toward me. It was just that... this danger was outdated.

And when I finally reacted, that became even more true. After all, with a single flick of my hand, I was able to completely cancel their Gifts. Even as they stared at me with confusion and some horror, I didn’t stop until I completely broke their Demonic Cores and launched the Demon Kings to the ground as though they were just ordinary rocks.

It was ridiculous. Almost as ridiculous as the giant crater that formed in the ground as a result of me throwing them. Thousands of demons fell immediately, and when they realized just what was happening, the Demon Emperors finally stepped up, Ren included.

They emerged from seemingly nowhere and just stared down at me, mumbling to themselves. In total, I saw five of them. To think that just these five alone could topple all of humanity was just unbelievable.

Yet I wasn’t scared.

After all, I had no intention of fighting these demons in the first place. Especially since, amongst those five Demon Emperors, I spotted Ren. He seemed very jolly at the fact that I was killing his race and causing such mass havoc on the entirety of Helheim.

But why?

Did he think just because I gained more power, that’d mean I was on their side? More importantly, did he expect me to kneel to them after I fully awakened as a Divine Beast?

That was just stupid.

"Hello, Amon," Ren said out of nowhere. He flew down and met my gaze before adding:

"I know you’re in a rush, so I won’t stop you. It’s just that I’d like to thank you. You see... Divine Energy interacts with all realms at once, so you using such a huge chunk of your Divine Energy inside the Demon Realm has allowed us to cross into the human realm much easier."

He chuckled.

"Several Demon Kings have descended. Even one or two Demon Emperors have paid the human realm a visit too. I thank you, once again, since even if you were to somehow kill us now, the human realm would fall by the end of the month."

With that, he snapped his fingers, causing the barrier surrounding the city to falter and give way. I could now feel all the energy around me, even some in the neighboring city.

So this was their plan all along? Make me use my power and give way to some connection between the Demon Realm and Human Realm?

I glanced down at the city and realized that, in one section of the city, there was a huge portal. Thousands of demons were running through every second, making the casualties that I was responsible for seem meaningless.

The Demon Emperors realized where my gaze had landed, and in the next instant, a few of them vanished, reappearing in front of the portal. They were adamant about protecting it.

"Make a choice, Amon," Ren said, still hovering beside me.

"Would you rather stop a few demons and demon kings from going through the portal, or would you rather save your lover? Strong as she may be, she stands no chance against the forces we’ve sent to kill her."

He paused.

"She has at most five minutes. No... less than a minute. My soldiers aren’t that incapable. Do you think in a minute, you can get past five Demon Emperors and then have enough time to get to your lover?"

Ren seemed confident in his plan, but then again, he had one very big misconception.

I had already locked onto Clementine. I could teleport toward her whenever I wanted to. So instead of this ultimatum, I knew very well that I had around 50 seconds before I needed to help Clementine.

And in those 50 seconds, it wouldn’t hurt to try breaking this damn portal.

I smiled at Ren, and before he could even react, I swatted his body away. He hurtled through the sky for a few hundred meters until eventually stopping. His jaw was malformed, and his eyes were bloodshot.

Even he hadn’t expected for me to have such power, and I wasn’t even aiming to kill him this time.

Granted... I doubt I could kill any of the Demon Emperors. It was only a matter of time before Godfrey regenerated too.

Still...

I can at the very least try my best here.
