Chapter 1056: How Could There Be a Path to Immortality in This World? (64) Hidden Command

Wang Hu—no, he should now be called Huang Baifu.

Having fully awakened the divine beast bloodline within him, Huang Baifu launched forward like a cannonball. Ignoring everyone else, he threw a punch directly at Gaia.

Before his fist landed, Gaia’s multicolored light shield had already deployed. Huang Baifu’s punch crashed into it, sinking deep into what appeared to be a soft barrier.

A low, indistinct growl escaped Huang Baifu's throat as he repeatedly pounded Gaia's light shield—his entire arm buried into the shimmering surface.

Just as he was about to break through the shield and land a direct hit on Gaia—

Gaia’s violet eyes suddenly flashed. Her combat mode, which had activated since the appearance of the Green Lotus Sword Song, emerged once again.

At the moment her multicolored wings spread open, the light shield shattered under Huang Baifu’s relentless assault—his ferocious punch now on a direct path to Gaia’s face. Gaia swiftly moved her arm, palm meeting his fist.

The massive Demonic Energy bursting from Huang Baifu’s body acted like a rocket booster, propelling him forward like a beam of light.

Then, Gaia summoned once again her barrage of lightning spears—dense and endless, like an inexhaustible treasure trove, firing one after another.

But at that moment, a streak of green light shot forth—it was the Green Lotus Sword Song from Qin Chuyu’s hand! The sword suddenly flew out on its own, darting straight at Gaia with a viciously sharp angle.

Sensing the danger, Gaia tried to deflect it with her other palm—but the sword was just a bit faster. It pierced through Gaia's body and shot skyward!

Wounded by the surprise attack, Gaia's palm trembled as it blocked Huang Baifu's punch—

ROAR—!!

A thunderous roar erupted from Huang Baifu's mouth. His fist finally shattered Gaia’s defense, slamming directly into her body!

Gaia was sent flying—but Huang Baifu didn’t stop. Bending his legs, he launched again with a sonic boom, catching up and unleashing a flurry of punches on her midair.

The sight left Tai Yinzi stunned. He glanced at the Green Lotus Sword Song now back in Qin Chuyu’s hand, his expression complicated.

“Master… when did your sword learn to ambush people like that…”

Still, the fact remained: Huang Baifu was pummeling Gaia into the ground.

In Tai Yinzi’s eyes, this wasn’t the usual pose-loving Jotaro-like guy—this was a rampaging red-haired beast!

BOOM—!!

Huang Baifu clasped his fists like hammers, smashing Gaia down to the earth.

The impact rippled like waves, cracking the ground in all directions.

Tai Yinzi, Qin Chuyu, and Su Zijun all leapt into the air to avoid being caught in the chaos, watching the terrifying battle unfold.

Now completely beast-like, Huang Baifu charged into the dust cloud to continue his assault.

Tai Yinzi frowned—could Gaia really be crushed by Huang Baifu’s berserk Divine Beast Transformation?

But Gaia still held clues about his master's disappearance…

Just then, a beam of light shot out from the dust—a thin ray, like a pencil stroke, slicing across the ground.

A blood-curdling scream followed.

Qin Chuyu frowned and swung her sword, summoning a breeze to clear the dust.

“What!!”

Su Zijun’s face paled. She had a clear view now thanks to Qin Chuyu.

In the deep crater, Huang Baifu was half-collapsed on the ground—still upright only because Gaia was gripping his hair.

His right arm was completely gone, lying a short distance away. Blood gushed from his wounded shoulder.

A splash of blood had left a streak across Gaia’s face.

Her violet eyes flickered, expressionless and still. Then, she swung her arm and hurled Huang Baifu into the pit’s slope like a ragdoll.

His golden tiger markings had vanished. His body was limp—his fate uncertain.

But Gaia wasn’t unscathed either. A prominent wound marked her chest—the one left by the Green Lotus Sword Song.

Gaia slowly floated into the air, still expressionless, and suddenly flew toward Tai Yinzi.

Qin Chuyu raised her sword to defend, but Gaia stopped directly in front of Tai Yinzi.

Her eyes scanned him—violet light swept across his body from head to toe.

“Gaia?” Tai Yinzi frowned.

Hadn’t she already scanned him once?

“Huh?” Tai Yinzi was stunned.

Before he could react, a blade shot out from Gaia’s arm and pierced his chest.

His eyes widened in pain.

What the hell was this crazy machine doing now?

A surge of lightning followed, instantly obliterating his consciousness.

In a flash, Tai Yinzi blacked out.

The Green Lotus Sword Song swung again, dragging Qin Chuyu’s arm in a strike at Gaia—but Gaia countered and slashed back.

Qin Chuyu couldn’t match her strength and was sent crashing to the ground.

Gaia didn’t pursue. She simply grabbed the unconscious Tai Yinzi and took off into the air.

Qin Chuyu shoved a large stone off herself, coughed up blood, and slowly stood.

The Green Lotus Sword Song had returned to its usual stillness.

She frowned as she looked in the direction Gaia had flown off... Something seemed off about Gaia near the end—she actually attacked Tai Yinzi unprovoked and took him away, but for what reason?

After the massive crater settled, two figures slowly descended—landing near the spot where Gaia had thrown Huang Baifu.

These were the two women who appeared shortly after the Green Lotus Sword Song showed up. Qin Chuyu remained silent, cautiously watching Su Zijun and Jessica from a distance.

As soon as she landed, Jessica rushed over to Huang Baifu, gently turned him over, and checked for a pulse on his neck.

"Master, this guy’s still alive," Jessica reported quickly.

Su Zijun stepped closer, glanced at Huang Baifu’s severed arm that was still bleeding, and frowned. She suddenly reached out and grabbed at the air—Huang Baifu’s severed arm flew into her hand.

Jessica thought Su Zijun was going to reattach the arm or something, but Su Zijun instead barked, “What are you spacing out for? Hurry up and collect his blood!”

“Huh?”

“This stuff is a treasure!” Su Zijun said matter-of-factly. “This guy's built like a tank—he’ll survive losing a little blood. Come on, collect as much as you can. He’s already achieved Divine Beast Transformation, and the White Tiger bloodline is strong in him. Blood from the Four Celestial Spirits ranks just under True Dragon blood!”

“Do we need to drain the blood from the severed arm too?” Jessica asked with a strange expression.

“Hold on to it. If he ever needs it again, we can use it to rip him off a bit more,” Su Zijun replied.

Jessica stared silently at her master. Ever since Su Zijun rescued her in the Middle East, that mysterious and aloof image of hers had gradually unraveled...

Su Zijun then did something unknown, and Huang Baifu’s right arm suddenly vanished. She then casually tossed Jessica a bamboo tube, instructing her to start collecting his blood.

Huang Baifu’s bleeding had slowed—his body seemed to have quite the regenerative ability.

Jessica hurried to gather the blood, while Su Zijun leapt and landed in front of Qin Chuyu.

She looked Qin Chuyu up and down, then glanced at the Green Lotus Sword Song. “That sword yours?”

Qin Chuyu frowned. The sword twirled once before returning to its place on her back.

“No need to be tense,” Su Zijun said calmly. “I thought it was an ownerless sword and found it appealing. Since it has a master, I won’t take someone else’s treasure… Unless, of course, you’re willing to give or sell it to me. That’s different.”

“Where did you come across it?” Qin Chuyu asked, sensing danger from Su Zijun, and a faint hostility coming from the Green Lotus Sword Song.

“In the sky,” Su Zijun shrugged. “Seems like it’s been floating up there for quite some time.”

Qin Chuyu's expression suddenly grew urgent. “Was there anything else near it?”

“No, just clouds,” Su Zijun said, narrowing her eyes at Qin Chuyu. “It flew out and came to you, as if drawn by you. But from your tone, are you saying... you’re not its master?”

The desire in her eyes was still apparent.

Qin Chuyu replied calmly, “It belonged to my master. It came to me because of our shared sword intent. It’s bound to him by life and soul—no one else can wield it.”

“A proud sword indeed,” Su Zijun nodded in agreement. “Seems like only those of the same lineage can use it… Well, since it’s your master’s, passing it to a disciple is only natural. Forget I said anything. So, where’s your master?”

Su Zijun’s curiosity shifted from the sword to its original owner. The blade hadn’t submitted even to the Xuanyuan Sword’s might—its proud defiance intrigued her.

There had been no word of such a skilled swordsman in the Divine Land in recent centuries. Could he be a cultivator from an even older era?

“He went missing. I came here to search for clues,” Qin Chuyu said, shaking her head.

“And your master is?” Su Zijun asked.

A look of admiration crossed Qin Chuyu’s face as she softly said, “The world knows him as ‘The Banished Immortal,’ also called ‘Resident of the Green Lotus.’”

“Taibai Sword Immortal…” Su Zijun murmured. “It’s actually him?”

She looked Qin Chuyu over again. “Legend says Taibai Sword Immortal once took in a female disciple, originally of the Celestial Fox Clan, who gave up her demon form to become human… That’s you?”

Qin Chuyu frowned, clearly unwilling to discuss her past.

Su Zijun didn’t care about her reaction. She glanced again at the ancient sword and smiled. “So it is the famous Green Lotus Sword Song—no wonder it's so arrogant, just like its master. Proud and hard to please.”

Qin Chuyu’s gaze turned colder.

Su Zijun’s words were always sharp, and now was no exception. “That’s how the world sees him. I didn’t say anything untrue. If you want to defend your master’s honor, I won’t stop you. But… how much strength do you even have left right now?”

Her spiritual and physical strength were both depleted, and she still carried serious injuries from Gaia. Just standing was already her limit.

“Here, take this.” Su Zijun flipped her palm, sending a bottle toward Qin Chuyu. “Recover a bit. Who knows if that weird thing will come back.”

Qin Chuyu still couldn’t quite figure Su Zijun out. She asked, “You are?”

“Me?” Su Zijun paused, then laughed softly. “Just a walking corpse, that’s all.”

Qin Chuyu quickly assessed the situation, then sat down cross-legged, opened the bottle, and found the liquid slightly bloody. She frowned but drank it and began her breathing practice.

While watching Qin Chuyu recover, Su Zijun’s eyes narrowed as she gazed at the pale neck exposed at Qin Chuyu’s collar.

Just then, Jessica ran over. “Master, Huang Baifu’s bleeding has stopped, but he still hasn’t woken up.”

“Oh, then just toss him away.”

With a wave of her hand, a burst of blood-red demonic energy shot out, grabbed Huang Baifu’s body, and flung it into the air—forming a giant claw that actually threw him somewhere far away!

Nobody knew where he landed.

Su Zijun clapped her hands and said cheerfully, “Great, now he won’t remember anything that happened!”

In a quiet mountain valley, a rift suddenly split open.

Luo Qiu stepped through first, followed by You Ye, and finally Da Zhe.

Once inside, Da Zhe started looking around curiously—this was the place he had been instructed to come to. It matched the strange records in the old ledger You Ye had shown him. The only instruction had been to send a high-level Black Soul Envoy here...

“So what now?” Da Zhe asked You Ye.

She shook her head. “The only task was to bring the envoy here. What happens next... I don’t know.”

“Great…” Da Zhe muttered, sensing a trap.

Suddenly, he looked up. “Boss, is something flying toward us?”

“Oh?” Luo Qiu looked up with curiosity.

A small black shadow in the sky grew clearer and clearer… and finally crashed hard into the ground.

It looked painful. Da Zhe winced.

The fallen figure turned out to be a muscular man with a missing arm—Huang Baifu.
