Chapter 1053: How Could There Be a Path to Immortality in This World? (61) Shameless

While fleeing for his life, Tai Yinzi suddenly had a thought: Maybe I shouldn’t have let loose just to feel good and gone “ora ora ora” on Wang Hu's body.

This was like those flashy types who only show off when they’re nearly dead. Wait until the rage gauge is full, and then go into SEED mode.

All I did was throw a few punches, not poke his eyes, hit below the belt, or use dirty tricks—was it really that serious?

(Note: LMAO He did!)

“Brother Wang Hu, can’t we talk this out? You must understand, I did this for your own good!”

“Bah! Old ghost! You’re useless at everything except running away! Let’s see how long you can dodge today!”

Behind him, Wang Hu’s domineering roar rang out.

Of course I can dodge. Back when I ruled the martial world, they didn’t call me ‘Fleet-footed Daoist’ for nothing!

But something surprised Tai Yinzi—Wang Hu’s power had clearly increased, but in exchange, his speed had dropped a lot.

Could it be that Wang Hu gave up speed to boost strength, which is how he broke free from Gaia’s gray crystal? He hasn’t adapted to the new mode yet, which is why he can’t catch me?If that were the case, there’d be no need to summon Gaia—Tai Yinzi hadn’t yet decided whether to use Gaia recklessly for chaos or to obediently fulfill his role in the Lord God project of the club.

“Brother Wang Hu! As the saying goes, harmony brings wealth! Why don’t we bury the hatchet and become sworn brothers? With your strength and my brains, we could clean this place out! Isn’t that a great deal?”

“Shut up! Dominating Fist!”

“Holy crap—Brother Wang Hu! Can’t you see how sincere I am?! You think I beat you out of revenge or opportunism? That’s a huge misunderstanding! Don’t you know that only by filling your rage can you truly explode with potential? I made myself the bad guy to bring out the best in you! Look, you’ve escaped now, haven’t you? Brother Wang Hu, could you put your fists away? You’re repaying kindness with enmity! I’m heartbroken here!!”

“Damn it! I’ve never met anyone this shameless! I must be cursed today!” Wang Hu suddenly stopped.

Tai Yinzi stopped too, suspiciously.

Wang Hu stood still, slowly exhaling. At the same time, his body began to visibly shrink.

Tai Yinzi watched, stunned, as Wang Hu’s bulging muscles began to contract. In moments, Wang Hu had shrunk down by two full sizes—now even skinnier than when he first appeared.

What the hell is he doing?

Before Tai Yinzi could figure it out, Wang Hu suddenly moved—Tai Yinzi only saw a blur, then felt a dying pain in his abdomen!

Dominating Fist!!

He switched to speed mode out of nowhere?!

Are you Ultraman Tiga or something?!

Wang Hu’s furious punch sent Tai Yinzi flying, crashing through over a dozen stone pillars before he finally skidded to a stop.

He didn’t feel good at all—black liquid spewed from his mouth and vanished in the air instantly. A wave of weakness washed over him, as if his body had been completely hollowed out.

“Old ghost, don’t waste time with last words!”

With a swoosh, Wang Hu appeared in front of Tai Yinzi, grabbed his afro, and lifted him up.

Wang Hu’s fingers squeezed hard—Tai Yinzi felt like his head was about to explode. The pain made him howl.

Damn it! Not even allowed a death monologue? This isn’t how the script goes!

“Who?”

Suddenly, Wang Hu tossed Tai Yinzi aside and slashed toward a tall stone spire ahead.

A white figure had appeared.

“A woman, again?” Wang Hu tensed—he hadn’t even noticed when she arrived.

Tai Yinzi, lying on the ground, forced his head up and followed Wang Hu’s gaze… and was instantly shocked!

“You wretched… No, wait! Junior sister! You came!! Save your senior brother!!”

At his desperate scream, the white figure on the stone frowned slightly.

With a cold humph, she waved her sleeve and turned to leave.

What the—?!

Tai Yinzi’s eyes bulged. “Junior sister! Are you really going to abandon our sect bond?! Have you forgotten who built your hut when you joined the mountain? Who brought you robes? Who told you bedtime stories?!”

Pop—!

A flash of green sword energy shot down beside him, boring a deep hole into the ground.

Tai Yinzi gulped, forcing a smile. “Junior sister! When you first became human, you were just a baby. Master was too busy cultivating, so I had to raise you! I didn’t even know how to care for kids—I had to catch nanny goats to feed you milk…”

Pop—pop—pop—!

Three more streaks of sword energy hit even closer, the third one piercing the earth just two inches from his face.

Tai Yinzi decided to go all in. Gritting his teeth, he stood up and shrieked, “When you first learned to eat, I made spiritual porridge for you every single day!”

“Enough!”

The white figure suddenly leapt down from the stone, her fingers forming a sword seal. A green sword light shot from her fingertips—sharp and real.

Like a celestial being descending from the heavens, she charged at Tai Yinzi, aiming the sword light straight at his throat!

“I CHANGED YOUR DIAPERS!!!!!!!”

The green light froze just before hitting Tai Yinzi’s neck. He swallowed nervously as she redirected the sword light, slicing a nearby row of stone pillars in half with a thunderous crash.

Her sword energy is scarier than Wang Hu’s fists!

Though his scalp tingled, Tai Yinzi plastered on a smile. “Junior sister, your Green Lotus Sword Manual has improved again! You’re probably close to catching up with Master! As expected of his last disciple—I’m truly… truly proud of you!”

“Shameless.” The white-robed woman snorted coldly.

Under her gaze, Tai Yinzi shrank his neck. But since she didn’t kill him in the end, he figured he was safe—for now.

“I’m taking this man with me. I don’t care what grudge you have against him.” She turned and glanced calmly at Wang Hu.

“Heh.” Wang Hu cracked his knuckles. “Too bad. I have to kill this old ghost today.”

She snorted. “He may be shameless, and even a disgrace to our sect, but even so, his fate is our sect’s to decide—not yours.”

“Hahahaha!! You’re the first one in a hundred years to talk to me like that!” Wang Hu’s demonic energy exploded, and tiger-like patterns surged across his skin.

The woman frowned and flicked her fingers—another green sword light shot out.

“Junior Sister, be careful! This beast from the White Tiger Clan can perform Divine Beast Transformation!” Tai Yinzi quickly warned.

But the white-clothed woman gave him a cold glare, making Tai Yinzi awkwardly laugh. “I-I’m just cheering for you... Go, Junior Sister! You’re the best!”

“Shut your damn mouth!”

With a cold snort, the white-clothed woman flicked her finger. Another streak of green sword energy shot out—not in a straight line, but as a glowing ribbon that instantly bound Tai Yinzi tightly, even sealing his mouth.

Tai Yinzi fell flat on the ground.

Emmmm... This tied-up situation feels strangely familiar...

Meanwhile, Wang Hu seemed to have completed his Divine Beast Transformation, his body returning to the powerful form Tai Yinzi had first seen.

Wang Hu twisted his neck, emitting a series of crisp cracking sounds. “Divine Beast Transformation takes time. I hadn’t fully completed it earlier when that damned person interrupted. I’ve been waiting to settle the score with her! Guess you’re just unlucky—you’ll make a good warm-up!”

“Just a mid-tier tiger king pattern.” The white-clothed woman said coolly. “A true White Tiger Divine Beast Transformation isn’t so cheap. At most, this is just a mimicry.”

“Heh... You know quite a bit, don’t you?” Wang Hu sneered. “Let’s see if you can push me to the third stage... I really don’t want to use that power!”

As he spoke, Wang Hu swung both arms forward. A white light enveloped them—when it faded, his arms were now clad in thick gauntlets.

“White Tiger Beast King Gauntlets...” The white-clothed woman frowned. “That’s a sacred artifact of the White Tiger Clan. Are you of the main bloodline?”

“You really do know a lot.” Wang Hu smiled nonchalantly, eyeing the sword energy on her fingertip. “Let’s see how tough your toothpick sword really is!”

The woman didn’t waste time responding. With a sweep of her sword-light-tipped finger, countless shockwaves burst forth from her sleeve.

Wang Hu raised his gauntleted right arm. The sides of the gauntlet suddenly unfolded into a shield, easily blocking the oncoming energy blasts.

The battle between the white-clothed woman and Wang Hu erupted in full.

Under the vast sky, the entire stone forest turned into their battleground. Massive stone spires collapsed as the two figures clashed at breakneck speed, evenly matched.

The sound of battle made Tai Yinzi’s scalp tingle.

He thought to himself: This wretched woman’s powers must have fully recovered after waking from her disrupted cultivation. She’s clearly returned to her peak... She’s nothing like the version I saw at the club last time!

Getting caught by Wang Hu means death. But getting caught by her... what if I end up sealed again for another five hundred years?!

Faced with such a dire situation, Tai Yinzi desperately wiggled his butt, using his knees and chin like a caterpillar to crawl away from the two terrifying combatants.

But just as he was making progress, a sword energy suddenly fell from the sky, cutting a trench right in his path.

Covered in dust, Tai Yinzi was stunned. He quickly changed direction—only for a burst of fist force to zoom past, forcing him to turn again.

Sword Qi—turn back.

Fist force—turn again.

Sword Qi—turn back.

Fist force—turn again...

Enough already!!!

Dust-covered and frustrated, Tai Yinzi finally gave up crawling. He squirmed a bit, sat up, and muttered, “Fine, fight all you want.”

Utter despair.

He sighed. The glowing green band around his mouth had loosened, but the bindings elsewhere had tightened.

Still, he watched the battle unfold. With his level of perception, he couldn’t make sense of their moves anymore—only thinking “strong... insanely strong...” over and over.

Eventually, numb to it all, Tai Yinzi even yawned.

But just then, a small figure descended in front of him—it was Gaia!

“Finally... some response...”

Tai Yinzi perked up immediately. Ever since Wang Hu switched to speed mode and beat him half to death, he’d been desperately calling for Gaia.

He never expected her to take this long to show up… this thing really acts like a blockhead!

【Universal Prototype Treasury Administrator Gaia at your service, esteemed Subordinate Permission Holder】

“Can we drop the 'Subordinate' part…”

Gaia didn’t respond, simply stared at him in silence.

“Forget it... Release me!” Tai Yinzi gave the command without hesitation.

Gaia touched him with her palm, and the green bands around him instantly dissipated. Tai Yinzi stretched his arms and grinned.

But just then, a streak of sword light and a blast of fist energy shot toward him at the same time!

“Gaia! Shield me!!”

【Understood】

A multicolored shield instantly appeared, effortlessly blocking both attacks.

At that moment, Wang Hu and the white-clothed woman paused their fight and separated. She stood atop a stone spire, while Wang Hu landed on the ground.

The woman glanced at Tai Yinzi and Gaia with a slight frown.

Wang Hu, on the other hand, sneered, “So you finally showed up... I’ve been waiting!”

HAHAHAHA!!

Tai Yinzi laughed wildly and stepped forward with pride. “Wang Hu! Looks like you forgot the fear of my Dominating Scissors! And you! Wretched woman! How dare you stab me with sword energy?! If I don’t teach you a lesson, you’ll never understand the senior brother’s authority! Gaia! Capture both of them for me!”

Gaia slowly floated upward.

Behind her, countless giant thunder orbs began to appear—densely packed, one after another...
