Chapter 887: Ambitions Annihilated in an Instant

Chapter 887: Ambitions Annihilated in an Instant

Cythacyl's blood whip had already stopped.

The last zombie on the scene had its head blown apart by his whip... right at the moment when Viscount Fernandez tore off Tu Shenyi's mask.

"Karen?" Cythacyl stared at the figure seated on the ground, revealing the true face of 'Tu Shenyi,' and was stunned. "How could it be you?"

He rushed forward, perhaps too agitated to notice the presence of Viscount Fernandez, and grabbed the white-haired woman's collar with both hands, violently lifting her. "Why is it you? Where is Tu Shenyi? Did you two conspire together? Where is he?"

Cythacyl's anger wasn't faked; the self-proclaimed genius felt utterly humiliated, as if someone had toyed with him.

Tu Shenyi—perhaps now more accurately Karen—the vampire who had bestowed Tu Shenyi with eternal life, glanced at Cythacyl coldly.

Her chilling gaze made Cythacyl's expression shift.

Karen placed her hands over Cythacyl's gripping hands, and in terror, he immediately let go and stepped back a few paces.

"Fool!"

Cythacyl was instantly struck by Viscount Fernandez! The Viscount backhanded him across the head, sending him flying into the wall with great force.

Upon hitting the ground, Cythacyl's face filled with fear. Though the Viscount wasn't his 'creator,' he was the progenitor of the Fernandez family. That innate fear for one's originator, ever-present in his blood, surged uncontrollably.

Viscount Fernandez snorted coldly, ignoring Cythacyl, and turned to Karen. "I don’t care if you’re Tu Shenyi or the last of the Ichel family. I don’t care what your true purpose is today. As long as you hand over the method to create the true blood, I will spare your life, and my promise to share my blood with you remains valid. With your talent, becoming a fifth generation, or even a fourth, is only a matter of time!"

"Ancestor!" Cythacyl shouted in protest, but upon meeting the Viscount's gaze, he cowered in fear.

"There is no true blood."

"What?" Viscount Fernandez's eyes narrowed as he glared at Karen.

Suddenly, she burst into laughter. "I said, there is no so-called true blood! It never existed! It was all a lie!"

"You!" The enraged Viscount grabbed Karen by the throat.

His overwhelming strength left her powerless to resist. His grip contorted her neck, and Karen's face showed signs of pain.

Yet, the Viscount threw her to the ground instead. "I told you, since you seek death, I won’t kill you! I refuse to grant you that satisfaction with my own hands. If you want to die so badly, go ahead and do it yourself! You can leave now! Whether I have the true blood or not, I will eventually gain the power to challenge the thirteen clans!"

Karen remained silent, slowly picking herself up. She stumbled against the wall as she left, never looking back at anyone.

"Ancestor, why did you let her go? How could you believe her so easily?" Cythacyl shouted incredulously at Viscount Fernandez.

"You insolent fool," the Viscount scolded, glaring at him. "Regardless of her intentions, if she failed, she will return to her lair. Whatever secrets she holds will surely be there. How can you not understand something so simple?"

The cunning of the ancestor suddenly became clear to Cythacyl, who shivered at his earlier foolishness and fear regarding Karen's presence.

He couldn't entirely blame himself, though. He had always lost to this woman in battle, beaten soundly each time. Over time, he had developed a deep fear of her strength.

No wonder 'Tu Shenyi' could kill him so easily in the lab—it wasn't because he absorbed Karen's power, but because 'he' *was* this terrifying woman... the last bloodline of the Ichel family, the most talented and powerful vampire in centuries!

"Should we follow her and not let her realize it?" Cythacyl quickly suggested, following the Viscount's line of thinking.

"No rush," Viscount Fernandez said calmly. "First, we need to eliminate a few unnecessary individuals... News of my resurrection cannot be leaked."

As he spoke, the Viscount's gaze, cold and oppressive, fell on Luo Qiu and his companions.

Upon feeling the terrifying gaze of the fourth-generation vampire, Elizabeth's whole body trembled. As for Zhong Luoyue, her mind felt like it was about to explode, and she collapsed to the ground, clutching her head in pain.

"A half-blood and a newborn?" Viscount Fernandez sneered. "The newborn can stay... but I don’t like the half-blood!"

There was no doubt—the Viscount was a staunch bloodline purist. When he resurrected, he instantly obliterated one of Takizawa’s leech monsters and interrogated Cythacyl. His disdain for mixed blood was clear.

Without hesitation, he lunged toward Elizabeth, muttering, "Abominations should not exist!"

Elizabeth couldn’t even react as his claw-like hand, sharp as a blade, moved toward her heart. She was terrified.

"I made a promise."

The hand stopped just inches from Elizabeth’s chest.

Upon closer inspection, Viscount Fernandez realized his wrist was firmly held by another hand.

It was Luo Qiu.

He had calmly reached out, effortlessly gripping the Viscount's wrist, preventing him from advancing further.

"I promised her grandfather that she would live," Luo Qiu said indifferently. "At least for today, that promise stands. And Viscount Fernandez, don’t you think it's quite impolite to raise your hand against a lady?"

"Who are you? How dare you stop me? Foolish!" Viscount Fernandez growled, forming a fist with his free hand.

"Ancestor, he’s a servant I’ve taken a liking to—spare him!" Cythacyl shouted in desperation.

But it was too late. Viscount Fernandez’s fist was already hurtling toward Luo Qiu’s face.

“Luo Qiu—!” Cythacyl screamed in anguish.

Elizabeth also shut her eyes in terror, while Zhong Luoyue, who was completely trembling out of control, could do nothing but stare blankly. She instinctively felt that with the terrifying power of Viscount Fernandez, if he threw that punch, Luo Qiu's head would probably explode.

Bang—!!!

A tremendous sound.

After the loud noise came silence.

Elizabeth listened for a moment before slowly opening her eyes, but her worst fears didn’t come true… The fist was now stopped in front of Luo Qiu, as if it had hit an invisible wall.

She didn’t believe that Viscount Fernandez had held back at the last moment because his fist was still trembling violently, clearly trying to enhance its power— the real situation was that his fist couldn’t breach the few inches of space in front of Luo Qiu’s body.

“Your Excellency Fernandez.” Luo Qiu said emotionlessly, “Violence is not the best way to solve problems. I think I understand what you’re worried about. However, I believe I am someone who can keep a secret. The fact that you were revived will not leak from my mouth, and I have no interest in whatever you want to do. Would you… consider holding back? I merely intend to take Elizabeth to her grandfather's resting place.”

Unexpectedly, Viscount Fernandez sneered, “I didn’t expect to wake up and encounter such a powerful individual… Your blood must taste good; perhaps it can bring me to the peak again and give me the strongest power of the fourth generation! Even… allow me to become a third generation!! My luck is incredible!”

His fangs suddenly elongated, and a terrifying blood-red steam emanated from his body, multiplying the power in his fists several times, even more than ten times.

He no longer fixated on Elizabeth but instead unleashed his fists, crazily pounding on Luo Qiu—yet, no matter how he struck, he could never shatter the invisible protection in front of Luo Qiu.

“Your Excellency Fernandez, are you really not going to consider my suggestion?”

“I don’t believe I can’t break your turtle shell! Today I will definitely drain you dry!”

“I understand.” Luo Qiu nodded, “You should return to your original state.”

Luo Qiu snapped his fingers.

The sound was soft, much lighter than the tremendous sound produced by Viscount Fernandez’s punches, but surprisingly clear.

“What… what have you done to me?!!”

In that instant, Viscount Fernandez stopped his hands, taking a few steps back, his face filled with terror. His body began to undergo strange changes; the skin that had just formed started to rot rapidly, revealing red flesh underneath.

His body began to seep blood—a massive amount of it being stripped away from him.

Viscount Fernandez felt as if his strength was being violently drained.

“What have you done to me!!!!!!” he shouted in horror, as the flesh of his body shrank, finally returning to the form of a withered corpse.

“Go back to sleep.”

The floor where Viscount Fernandez stood suddenly cracked open, and dirt flew outward, while his body sank slowly as if caught in a quagmire.

“I don’t want to sleep! I don’t want to! I don’t want to! I’ve just awakened! I am the strongest vampire of the Fernandez family! I don’t want this!!!”

In the state of a withered corpse, Viscount Fernandez cried out in terror, eventually begging, “I won’t go against you! I won’t go against you anymore! Don’t take away my power… please don’t!!!”

His remaining hand sank into the quagmire, and in the end, only a glimmer of red light shot out from the mud.

That red light entered Luo Qiu’s palm, finally turning into a drop of blood.

Luo Qiu said calmly, “Actually, I’ve never liked troublesome matters; a permanent solution is better.”

At that moment, the quagmire disappeared, reverting to the original hard floor as if it had never cracked… However, Viscount Fernandez had also vanished, as if he had never existed.

“Ah… Cythacyl is gone.”

Without the suppression of the high-ranking vampire, Elizabeth immediately regained her composure. Although Zhong Luoyue’s face was pale, she also regained some strength.

“Never mind him.” Luo Qiu shook his head. “We should be ahead; let’s go.”

Elizabeth nodded silently and instinctively grabbed the corner of Luo Qiu’s clothes, but Luo Qiu turned to look at her, making Elizabeth timidly let go.

Luo Qiu thought for a moment, and the drop of blood in his palm suddenly transformed into a red gem. He casually offered it to Elizabeth, “You should keep this.”

“What is this…” Elizabeth cupped the blood-red gem with both hands.

She could feel it contained tremendous power… This was probably the essence of Viscount Fernandez’s power— even if he were revived again in the future, he would probably have little strength left.

Perhaps not much better than an infant… But Elizabeth felt that, more likely, Viscount Fernandez probably wouldn’t be able to be revived at all…

“It’s too precious; I can’t accept this.”

“Based on what just happened, it will help you survive better.” Luo Qiu said casually, “This is a ready-made item, and I have no loss. I told you, I prefer comfort; just take it.”

At that moment, Zhong Luoyue walked up to Luo Qiu with her head down, looking hesitant, “Have I already…”

“You know in your heart, don’t you?” Luo Qiu looked at her.

Zhong Luoyue’s lips moved, her hand instinctively reaching for her neck. She felt dizzy, her strength drained away, and with a thud, she knelt on the ground, lost in despair.

“Are you okay, sister?” Elizabeth crouched down and gently patted Zhong Luoyue’s shoulder.

Unexpectedly, Zhong Luoyue suddenly swatted Elizabeth’s hand away, hugging herself and trembling, “Don’t… don’t touch me!”

Elizabeth helplessly looked up at Luo Qiu.

“Let her be for now.”

Luo Qiu didn’t care anymore… He was never someone who meddled in other people's affairs, whether in the past or present.

The next part involves a mechanical device:

---

Hiss hiss… hiss hiss…

Air gushed from the release valves of the machine, and at the same time, the interior of the device suddenly opened— on the control panel of the machine, the word “complete” appeared in massive letters.

Uncle Jin trembled as he reached his hand into the machine, slowly pulling something out.

A test tube containing about thirty milliliters of light green liquid.

However, at that moment, the walls of the laboratory suddenly cracked open, revealing a leech-like monster that had attached itself to the broken wall at some point.

Its tentacles waved in the air.

Viscount Fernandez had destroyed one of Takizawa’s avatars, but in fact, there was another avatar— the half that was kicked away by Song Er.

It didn’t stay at the scene; upon sensing Viscount Fernandez’s appearance and losing half of itself, it hurriedly escaped and came here.
