Chapter 524 - 524: Please Caspian Parker Perform the Ending Theme Song
The background and strength are stronger than I imagined, so just how strong are they?Looking at the familiar and indifferent face of the man on the screen, Aurelia Shaw suddenly felt she didn't really know him. Perhaps she had never really touched the true strength of Mason Nightshade.
"Why aren't you speaking?" Seeing her dazed and not saying anything for a long time, Mason Nightshade frowned and asked.
"Nothing much." Aurelia Shaw brushed it off nonchalantly, "The party inside isn't over yet, so let's leave it at that. I'll head back in."
Before Mason Nightshade could say anything else, Aurelia Shaw had already hung up the call. She stood there for a while longer before stepping back into the hall.
As soon as she entered, she saw Anna Reed clinging to Caspian Parker's side.
She quirked an eyebrow as if watching a spectacle.
On the surface, Caspian Parker treated people gently, but for those he didn't like, or approached him with ulterior motives or too clingily, he never held back.
Being rejected by someone who is always indifferent wouldn't feel like much, but being rejected by such a person is truly heartbreaking.
As expected, it wasn't long before Aurelia Shaw saw Anna Reed leaving disheartened.
She walked over, brushing shoulders with Anna Reed, who glared at her. Her smile remained unchanged, instead giving a soft, beaming smile in return, infuriating Anna Reed.
"What did she do to provoke you?" Others might not know this sister of his well, but he knew best. Just by looking at her earlier expression, he could tell she was being deliberately brazen.
Aurelia Shaw shrugged, "Innocently got caught up because of you."
Caspian Parker raised an eyebrow knowingly, "The mayor's daughter indeed doesn't have much quality."
Was he siding with her?
All the sarcasm in Aurelia Shaw's heart dissipated instantly.
She's encountered plenty of scum, so used to it that it doesn't bother her. It's the feeling of being protected that truly feels soothing.
After chatting with Caspian Parker for a while, Aurelia Shaw felt the attention around him was too intense, so she quietly held a glass of fruit wine and hid away.
Just as she sat down on the sofa, a figure followed her over.
"You know Charles?" Sawyer's eyes lit up.
Charles again.
Her brother seemed quite famous.
Aurelia Shaw nodded, "He's my brother."
Seeing the confusion on Sawyer's face, she explained, "Cousin."
Sawyer had an 'I see' expression, "Our movie's ending song hasn't been recorded yet. Charles is a top maestro in the piano world. You know him, could you get us a backdoor to invite him to play our ending song?"
Charles is a world-class maestro, only holding one concert a year, with tickets snapped up globally. Being fortunate enough to hear him play the piano is a privilege.
There's no record of him ever playing an ending song for any drama.
It was after hearing about Aurelia Shaw's relationship with him that Sawyer conceived this bold idea.
Is my brother really that famous?
Aurelia Shaw knew very little about the piano world, but she seemed to have seen Charles's name on some outstanding lists before.
Aurelia Shaw didn't dare to agree immediately, though if she asked, he would probably agree nine times out of ten. "I'll go back and ask him."
Getting the answer he wanted, Sawyer gave an unreserved cheer and once again shouted out an unrestrained term of address.
"Thank you, godmother, for whether our movie can reach a higher level depends on you!"
Aurelia Shaw: "..."
The purpose of her attending this gathering was achieved. She symbolically lingered at the venue for a while, and left without greeting anyone.
