Chapter 1848: Charlotte Thompson Is Pregnant

Little Arthur Hudson’s first birthday party.

"Hey Adam, why are you putting a game console at a birthday party?"

"The Thompson Family put a gold bar there, why can’t I put a game console?"

Confronted by Harper Gibson’s question, Adam Ross shrugged.

Hearing Adam’s words, James Thompson pursed his lips.

"If he grabs the gold bar, the little guy might enter the business world, unlike some people who grabbed..."

Adam immediately reacted like a cat whose tail got stepped on and lunged forward, trying to cover James’s mouth, but the latter dodged just in time.

"How did you know?" Adam glared at James.

"I used to often have tea and play chess with Mr. Ross," James replied with a smile.

"No way, Adam, are you and James that close? Plus... what did you grab as a kid?" Harper Gibson leaned in with a gossiping grin, nudging Adam with his elbow.

"Get lost, it’s none of your business," Adam rolled his eyes at Harper.

While the younger generation joked around, the elders of the families were sitting together, chatting in harmony.

Today was Arthur Hudson’s first birthday party, bringing together the Hudson, Battleson, Thompson, and Ross families.

When Charlotte Thompson and Annie Anne brought out Arthur Hudson, they were both surprised by the array of items in front of them.

Annie gently pinched Arthur’s chubby cheeks and whispered in his ear, "Son, I’m curious about what you’ll grab."

"Who put all these things here?" Charlotte leaned against Justin Battleson, asking in surprise.

"The Hudson family prepared a lot of it, but those unusual ones..."

Justin was about to speak, but Charlotte already had an idea.

By then, Annie had already placed Arthur in the middle of the dazzling array of items, and everyone focused their attention on the little guy, eager to see what he’d pick up.

Unexpectedly, instead of picking anything, Arthur tottered to his feet, surprising all the family elders.

Even more astonishing, Arthur started wobbling in a certain direction.

That direction was towards Charlotte.

Charlotte quickly extended her arms, worried he’d fall, but Arthur walked steadily up to her and placed his little hand on her belly.

Charlotte was a mix of amused and bewildered, having never seen such a scene.

Arthur babbled, though Charlotte quickly changed the subject.

This was just a minor incident to everyone, but as the party wound down, a huge surprise unveiled itself.

Charlotte was pregnant.

"What?"

Charlotte placed her hand on her belly, "But, I thought I was physically unfit..."

The overwhelming joy left her standing there, dumbfounded.

"The test result can’t be wrong," Henry Hudson handed her the paperwork.

It was just a routine check-up for Charlotte, yet it brought an unexpected delight.

At that moment, Arthur clapped his hands from Annie’s embrace, then beamed at Charlotte.
