Chapter 229 - 43: Gentle Ups and Downs; Legendary Dragon Race_3

...

The actions of the Kingdom, the centaurs, and the Sha Hua Fish People don’t significantly impact the Black Wing Nest.

Its development proceeds as planned.

After all, neither the Kingdom, the centaurs, nor the Sha Hua Fish People have any intention of attacking the Black Wing Nest.

The Kingdom can barely protect itself.

Although the centaur clan is resentful—their territory in the Dark Forest was invaded, and their old, weak, women, and children were driven out—they are wary of the Black Wing Nest’s power. They have no idea that the Black Dragon Lord is Leanna’s offspring and can only, like surrounding forces, speculate that this is an old Black Dragon who, after lurking for a long time, suddenly wishes to form a Monster Realm.

No one would suspect that the ruler of the Black Wing Nest is merely a twenty-year-old juvenile Black Dragon, still some years away from the twenty-five-year-old Dragon Race youth stage.

As for the Sha Hua Fish People?

They are currently focusing all their efforts on devouring the Yalbit Kingdom and aren’t concerned with the development of other powers.

As time passed, the Sha Hua Fish People’s invasion settled down again, turning into covert devouring and development.

However, just as the war in the Southern Region of the continent had calmed down, a massive war broke out for the first time between the Crimson Nest and the two major camps led by humans in the east.

This war surpasses all previous ones in scale, with a Legendary Giant Dragon from the Crimson Nest and a Legendary from the human-led side taking part, specifically the Dragon Knight from the Ryan Empire—Dion Bier.

The Crimson Nest’s participant was the Legendary Black Dragon ’Bronze,’ an ancient Black Dragon who has been with the Mother of Deep Red for a millennium. Over this thousand years, as it neared death, it finally broke through to the Legendary Tier, becoming a Legendary Giant Dragon.

The ancient Black Dragon barely matched the newly initiated Legendary powerhouses, and upon reaching Legendary status, its life’s essence elevated, and its power increased exponentially. Just upon advancing to Legendary, its strength already ranked among the top levels of the legendary.

However, the Dragon Knight from the Ryan Empire possessed extraordinary power as well, having broken into the Legendary tier hundreds of years ago. Through centuries of honing, its prowess has improved significantly. Paired with a Bronze Dragon partner, who was old and barely at the legendary power level, they synergistically performed secret techniques far exceeding ordinary Legendary levels of power.

The fierce battle between the two sides lasted for hours, ultimately resulting in the Legendary Black Dragon Bronze being defeated and wounded, retreating, with the two sides temporarily halting the war.

It turned out that the extremely old Bronze Dragon with Dion Bier finally broke through to Legendary a few years prior.

Both the man and the dragon are Legendary, forming a truly complete Legendary Dragon Knight.

After this battle, the reputation of Dragon Knight Dion Bier spread rapidly across the continent, reassuring many factions, dispelling previous fear and panic.

The Crimson Nest is not invincible.

A thousand years ago, it could sweep the continent, causing countless casualties, but today, a millennium later, it may not be able to do the same.

The times have changed.

However, this optimism is mainly among the factions without deep foundations.

Those with deep traditions and histories know that the Crimson Nest’s real threat has never been the Legendary Giant Dragons, but the Mother of Deep Red.

Although Legendary Giant Dragons are powerful, to become a Legendary powerhouse, they have to be geniuses, don’t they?

Many Legendary powerhouses battled above their weight in their master-level stages. Even if they later became ordinary legendary beings, that doesn’t imply they were of average talent. It just means that those who become Legendary powerhouses are always outstanding talents.

When everyone is on similar levels, naturally they seem ’ordinary.’

Only truly exceptional geniuses can continue to fight above their tier at the Legendary level.

Udi is still very concerned about the war between the Crimson Nest and the human-led camp in the continent’s eastern part.

Although the victory of either side doesn’t benefit him much, he would rather the Crimson Nest win compared to the human-powered camp’s victory.
