Chapter 675: I think you have a talent for acting, have you considered changing your major?_1

"I never expected you to perform so well on your exam, congratulations, Nathalie," she said, her words causing her chest to bleed.

But she had to say it in front of everyone, else she feared Ivy Wilmar would trouble her afterwards, insisting to know if she had been aware of Nathalie’s scores ahead of time.

If Ivy discovered she had known about Nathalie’s results and hadn’t spoken up, she worried she might be more disappointed in her, or even give up on her entirely.

Ghania understood this all too well, so she braved the mocking gaze and smiled, "Congratulations on getting into Tsinghua University, I’m happy for you."

Nathalie nearly retched from her overnight meal, disgusted by Ghania’s seamless performance. She pulled down the hood of her sweater, her dark eyes sharp as knives, as if seeing right through Ghania’s insincere congratulations. She nonchalantly put away her phone, hand in pocket, and looking at the girl whose smile was strained, said, "Have you considered switching your major to acting?"

"?"

"I think you have a real talent for it, definitely more than for playing the piano," she said casually.

But Ghania’s face tightened, turning beet red!

Nathalie!!

Did she have to humiliate her in front of so many people!?

Nathalie never took her seriously as a rival. Although Freddy was caught and Jeff Quinlan had put in some effort, albeit to no avail, the fact that Jeff had informed her about Freddy’s situation was a favor she remembered and had not forgotten.

So, even though Ghania’s shenanigans were revolting, Nathalie didn’t say much. After sniping Ghania Quinlan, she turned her head to Shawn Norton and said, "I’m not comfortable sitting at the same table with people I’m not acquainted with. If you want to go, then go. I’ll just grab something to eat. I have things to do this afternoon."

I’m not comfortable sitting at the same table with people I’m not acquainted with.

A simple sentence, yet it was like a slap in the face to Ivy, Ghania, and the whole Quinlan family.

Before, it was they who wanted to distance themselves from Nathalie. Now, she wanted nothing to do with them.

Ivy’s expression was quite ugly, her face wooden, wanting to lash out but unable to do so.

Shawn Norton didn’t care about them at all. Hearing Nathalie say this, he immediately laughed and said, "Of course I’ll join you. How could I go with strangers?"

He then turned to ask the Tsinghua University principal, "Mr. Wafford, are you coming with us, or...?"

Whether Mr. Wafford joined them or not was irrelevant to him; he was just being polite since they had arrived together.

The principal looked at Derliand Gober and his party, then at Nathalie, making his choice quickly and answering warmly, "Of course, I will join Mr. Norton."

After speaking, he looked up and addressed Derliand Gober not far away, "Excuse me, Professor Gober."

Derliand, who had been inviting them for quite some time without success, felt awkward but was respectful to his boss, "You called, Principal?"

With his arms crossed, Mr. Wafford looked elegantly at the girl standing there and then turned to Derliand, saying, "I had previously promised to take Nathalie out for a meal. It won’t be possible today. We’ll postpone it for another time, the next chance we get to dine together."

Being busy all the time meant he was hardly seen at the university. Derliand could tell his words were merely a polite way of excusing himself.

Derliand, a man who understood the subtext, took the hint gracefully and with a slight smile said, "Alright, Principal Wafford, Mr. Norton, you both go ahead. We can make plans some other time."

"Sure."

Principal Wafford agreed, then cheerfully turned to the elder and the young one beside him, "Mr. Norton, Nathalie, let’s go inside."
