Chapter 624: Ever Heard of Lighten Chaser?_1
Sadam Vinson hadn’t had this much fun playing for a long time, and after finishing this game, he even wanted to play another round.
"Play another round?"
No," Nathalie Quinlan, seeing that Shawn Norton had already started to give his speech and the hotel staff were gradually bringing out the dishes, she exited the game and whispered, "It’s starting. No more playing, maybe next time, we’ll play again when there’s a chance."
Although Sadam Vinson was left wanting more, he knew to distinguish the occasion and seeing that people were joining their table one after another, and the seats were almost full, he didn’t want Nathalie Quinlan to be subjected to curious stares, so he put away his phone, exited the game, and said, "Alright, let’s play next time then, Nathalie, don’t forget to invite me next time."
He usually had work from The Ninth Institute, plenty of it, just not as busy as Amadeus Yancey, but he talked about it as if it was nothing, in a carefree manner.
"Mhm." Nathalie Quinlan also put away her phone and focused on what was happening in front.

After Shawn Norton’s speech, several others took to the stage to talk at length, delivering a plethora of empty pleasantries that nearly lulled her back to sleep.
It was quite a relief when the speakers finally finished.
Then, a group of young people, under the guise of celebrating an old man’s birthday, started to go onstage with various musical instruments to perform.
If it weren’t for the dishes spread out on the table, Nathalie Quinlan would have thought she’d come to the wrong place, that she wasn’t at a birthday party but had entered the Vienna Golden Concert Hall instead.
From violins to saxophones, to flutes, an assortment of musical instruments filled the banquet hall with noise, so much so that she lost her appetite for food.
There were a few dishes on the table that she liked, but after picking at them, Nathalie Quinlan found herself unable to eat.
So noisy!
There was still someone playing the violin on stage, and Sadam Vinson glanced up, recognizing someone from the Barness Family, and he too had almost had enough. Resting his chin on his hand and seeing the girl next to him express the same impatience, he smiled and said, "Tired of listening?"
"It’s just too noisy."
Noisy enough to ruin her appetite for food.
Sadam Vinson chuckled lightly and said, "That’s pretty normal. Mr. Norton usually keeps to himself, and they can’t easily find him, so they seize this opportunity to showcase themselves in hopes that Mr. Norton will notice and consider them for his mentorship, a bunch of people wanting to become Mr. Norton’s apprentices."
Caryn Zachmann was also going to perform today, but Sadam Vinson felt nothing special about it, just found the scene in front of him absurd, and whispered to her in a lowered voice, "Mr. Norton’s best at playing the Konghou and has always been trying to promote traditional music in the country. Look at what these people are holding in their hands. Tsk, violins? Flutes? None of them are truly playing traditional music."
Caryn Zachmann was the same, despite being Grade 8 in piano, she insisted on seeking apprenticeship under Mr. Norton.
He couldn’t understand what they were after.
Just after a title?
No wonder Mr. Norton would rather not take any apprentices over the years than take these people on.
If it were him, he wouldn’t take them either!
Take a nothing!
Just watching them irritated him!
"Speaking of people who genuinely play traditional music, I do think of someone," Sadam Vinson’s gaze drifted away as he crossed his legs nonchalantly, turned his head to her, and asked, "Lighten Chaser, have you heard of her?"
Nathalie Quinlan’s eyes flickered, she pulled down her hat to cover the emotions in her eyes, "Ah. No, I haven’t."
"You’ve never heard of Lighten Chaser?" Sadam Vinson looked at her in surprise, a puzzled look on his face, "I thought she was quite famous among you young people. My little troublemaker at home knows her name, is totally obsessed. And you’ve never heard of her?"
