Chapter 623: Nathalie Makes a Small Profit_1

"How about taking advantage of this bull market and selling them off first? Wait until the momentum fades and then buy back in."

The stock market did rise quite a bit last night, and it’s been in a bull market for some time. He played the stock market himself, though not as well as Amadeus Yancey; he usually relied on Amadeus to give him some tips. But he still believed he was better than a high school senior and confidently started advising Nathalie Quinlan.

"After this kind of bull market, it’s generally followed by a bear market. Many people can’t bear to sell when the stock price is rising, thinking they can keep earning, but in the end, most of them lose money. The most important thing in playing stocks is to have the right mindset, don’t be greedy, know when to stop, and it’s easy to make money."

"The stocks you bought should also be rising, right?"

A bull market doesn’t mean all stocks will rise; there’s always a small portion of unlucky junk stocks that won’t even rise in a bull market.

He thought that casual traders like Nathalie Quinlan, who treated it like a game, were the easiest to step on mines or buy junk stocks.

Nathalie Quinlan raised her eyebrows slightly, her dark pupils brimming with confidence. She leaned back casually, legs bent, long and straight, exuding a laid-back vibe: "Not bad."

She made a small profit.

Almost enough to recoup the money lost in that recent setback.

"Oh. Then sell early, don’t get stuck with them." Sadam Vinson thought that her "not bad" meant she had made a few hundred or a thousand dollars, an amount he would never worry about. After advising Ms. Quinlan on stock trading, he brought up the game she was playing earlier: "I just saw you playing a game. Which game was it?"

"Gun battle."

Nathalie Quinlan took out her phone and showed him the interface in front of him: "This one. I play occasionally."

Sadam Vinson was familiar with this game; he sometimes played it to pass the time. Seeing Nathalie playing it wasn’t a surprise, and, feeling interested, he invited her: "The banquet still has a while before it starts, why don’t we team up for a round?"

"I’m good either way." Just the ’I-don’t-mind’ attitude.

"Let’s have a go, then." Sadam Vinson really liked her straightforward attitude; it was better than many girls in their circle who were awkward.

If you want to play, play, if not, then don’t. He despised those girls who, when asked if they wanted to play, would daintily claim they were bad at it.

So, your being bad has something to do with playing a game? I don’t expect professional-level skills; we’re just rounding out the numbers for a bit of fun.

He nodded his chin and looked towards Govert Griffin, saying, "You in? Let’s trio."

The game was very popular, with both PC and mobile versions; they played both but, as adults, didn’t have much time for games. They played only occasionally, so their skills were not bad but not great either.

Govert Griffin was decent at the game, with a slightly higher rank. Hearing the suggestion, he smiled and said to Ms. Quinlan, "Miss Quinlan, I’ll carry you."

Nathalie Quinlan rested her hand on the table, looking down, initially thinking about how to wrap things up in a few minutes, but when he confidently said he’d carry her, the corners of her eyes lifted, and her lips curved into a roguishly sly smile: "Alright."

The game turned out to be quite exhilarating.

In their trio, Govert Griffin was on assault, Sadam Vinson was exploring the map, and Nathalie Quinlan was assigned the simplest task—sniping.

Which really meant finding a safe spot to pick off kills.

Typically, in such games, guys like to assign the sniper role to girls. It doesn’t matter if they don’t play well; the key is not to feed kills to the enemy.

But in this game, Nathalie Quinlan was ’lucky as hell’, always able to snipe off kills.

Basically, if she didn’t fire, she wouldn’t miss; one shot, one little buddy down.

By the end of the game, victorious with the chicken dinner, she had the highest score and the most kills in their squad.
