Chapter 603: I’ll set up a gathering later to welcome a kid_1
Sadam Vinson was about to leave when he remembered something, stopped in his tracks, and asked the two, "By the way, I’m planning to get together later. A kid from McKinney has come, and I need to entertain them a bit. Do you guys want to come and have a meal?"
"When?" Govert Griffin was indifferent; he had nothing else to do and was naturally willing to cling to Sadam Vinson’s coattails for a bit longer.
Sadam Vinson furrowed his brow, suspecting he must reek by now, and said, "Later. I’ll go take a shower and change my clothes first."
"If you want to go, I’ll call you in a little while. Will you go?"
Govert Griffin nodded decisively, "I’ll go!"
"Alright. See you at the usual place."
After Sadam Vinson finished speaking, he thought about the fact that the person was coming from a small place like McKinney and was unfamiliar with the area. He and Govert Griffin, both guys, entertaining might not be too appropriate—what if the guest was a shy girl? They could scare her off.
Damn!
The more he thought about it, the more irked he became, and with a furrowed brow, he instructed Govert Griffin, "Call a few more people to come out and have fun when it’s time. That kid is timid, and it’s better to have more people around to liven up the atmosphere."
Govert Griffin got along well with them, a real monkey spirit. Just a mention and he immediately grasped the situation, lifting his hand to make an OK sign.
Thinking that the new arrival was a girl, and Caryn Zachmann was a girl too, sharing the same gender might make it easier for them to get along, he asked her, "Caryn, how about you? Will you go?"
On any other day, Caryn would have agreed since Sadam Vinson had asked. But today was an exception. Caryn Zachmann was frazzled and in no mood to meet Sadam Vinson’s friend from McKinney. She even felt averse at the mere mention of ’McKinney’. She frowned, her expression not looking too good, and shook her head, "I have something else to do later, so I won’t be going."
Sadam Vinson noticed her not so good-looking face and could guess her current mood with his little toe, so he didn’t press her to go. He just hummed in acknowledgment and said, "Alright. Let’s get together another day. Shall we leave together?"
"You guys go ahead."
Caryn Zachmann, looking at Adelle Wafford still not out of Mr. Wilmar’s room, lifted her chin slightly, her beautiful eyes hiding her embarrassment.
"I still have to wait for my tutor."
Today, Adelle Wafford really took a huge fall!
Sadam Vinson had no interest in watching someone else’s embarrassing moment; he hadn’t slept all night and had been forcing himself to stay awake for hours, wanting to go back already. So he didn’t waste any more time with her and gave a nod, "Then Govert Griffin and I will go first."
"Hmm."
Seeing she had no objections, he gestured to the man beside him, bid Caryn Zachmann farewell, and casually left.
Caryn Zachmann watched their departing figures, bit her lip, took out her phone, and made a call home.

Nathalie Quinlan arrived at the hotel at 3 p.m., managed her check-in at the reception, and located the room Amadeus Yancey had booked for her.
A suite.
One bedroom, one living room, complete with a kitchen and everything else needed, not the most expensive type, but its warmth and naturalness gave it a homey feel.
Before coming, she had searched the hotel on a travel app; the price wasn’t cheap—a suite like this at least a five-figure price per night.
Nathalie Quinlan could afford it herself, but she felt it was a bit pricey to spend someone else’s money. However, she soon thought of Amadeus Yancey, and the slight frown on her face relaxed.
Once in her room, she dropped her bag and took a shower.
She had gotten up at five in the morning to catch the airplane, traveled to Beijing with several transfers, hadn’t had a sip of water, and then went straight to give Mr. Wilmar his acupuncture treatment. Nathalie Quinlan almost fell asleep while showering. After she finished and came out, she wrapped herself in a loosely tied bathrobe, walked to the bed, picked up the phone she had tossed beside the bed earlier, and got ready to order some takeout.
Just as she opened her phone, a new message popped up.
