Chapter 454: Still Asking Him to Introduce Me_1

"Is it from Beijing Dance Academy or Beijing Film Academy this time?"

Everyone in their dormitory knew Zeus Tanzil’s family was distinguished and could infer a bit from how Zayn Fisher, the wealthiest in their dorm, treated Zeus.

Being rich, he also had high standards for choosing a girlfriend; none of Zeus’s ex-girlfriends were ever unattractive.

He touched his nose, feeling that he couldn’t rule out the entertainment industry: "Or maybe she’s not a student of either academy, but a star?"

Zayn Fisher looked at him with equal curiosity, not as overt as Stewin Hoffman, leaning back in his chair with a focused look and a slight smile, "You have someone you like? Congratulations! Who is it? Bring her out sometime for a meal with us."

Zeus placed his hand on the table, answering nonchalantly: "I haven’t pursued her successfully yet; I’ll tell you once I do."

Zayn laughed, non-committal, "Is there a girl you’re interested in that you can’t pursue?"

Zeus’s family background was well-known throughout Beijing, which was precisely why he would humble himself and court others without concern for his pride.

He lifted his eyes, realizing something, and added, "From your tone, could it be someone I know?"

Ghania Quinlan suddenly felt a wave of unease, suspecting that Zeus’s next words would make her uncomfortable.

Indeed.

Zeus changed his pose, still looking like the nonchalant playboy, seemingly easygoing and approachable, yet his gaze held a pride and arrogance that even Zayn Fisher lacked. It was the sort of demeanor cultivated through years of living in high circles.

Amadeus Yancey also had this air about him but it was stronger, more evident, and more unsettling.

"Speaking of which, you do know her." Zeus hadn’t planned on hiding her identity, and he said succinctly, "It’s the girl I mentioned before, Nathalie Quinlan. You said she was your junior. I ran into her at school and wanted her WhatsApp, but she didn’t give it to me."

He looked at Zayn Fisher with a suddenly thoughtful expression, his voice slower with a smile, "Since you know her, why not help me arrange a meeting next time? I’d like to invite her to a meal, get to know each other a bit!"

Zayn Fisher never expected the person to be Nathalie Quinlan. His grip on his chopsticks tightened, the veins on his hand standing out, as he sat there stunned, lips parted, unable to utter a word.

Ghania Quinlan’s fingertips trembled, the emotions she had struggled to settle nearly surfacing again.

Only Stewin Hoffman and the other two boys were clueless about the situation. Hearing Zeus’s request, they teased Zayn playfully by patting his shoulder, excitedly egging him on, "Go for it, Zayn! Next time, bring that girl out and we can all have a meal together. This is the first time I’ve heard of Mr. Tanzil being rejected by a girl, which makes me even more curious."

Unhelpfully, Hoffman brought up another touchy subject: test scores.

"I remember she also got into Tsinghua University, and wasn’t it a perfect score on the joint exam this time? Tsk, those results will shock everyone once they’re published when school starts. I bet the school will keep the scores under wraps for a while to avoid outsiders knowing, otherwise what if other schools poach her before the college entrance exam?"

This time, Ghania’s face turned even paler; without waiting for Stewin Hoffman to finish speaking, she stood up abruptly, her face white, and said with a tremulous voice, "Excuse me, I need to go to the restroom."

Her sudden movement startled everyone. Hoffman, not noticing her expression was off, thinking she was going to touch up her makeup, kindly directed her, "The restroom is to the left after you go out."

"Mm, thank you."

Hoffman’s attention returned elsewhere, setting down his chopsticks, leaning forward with renewed enthusiasm to ask Zeus about Nathalie.

Ghania couldn’t bear to listen any longer and hurried out of the private room.

If she didn’t leave to catch her breath, she was afraid she would lose her composure.
