The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 453: Still Dreaming_1

Chapter 453: Still Dreaming_1

"Really?" Ghania Quinlan’s heart felt tight, her gaze shifting. She didn’t believe Zeus Tanzil would speak carelessly, and her hand clenched unconsciously. Despite her disbelief, she forced herself to appear convinced and said with effort, "Zayn, you don’t have to comfort me. If it’s her, it’s okay. I didn’t hope for her to do poorly. If she can get into Tsinghua University, I’d be happy for her."

Zayn Fisher always knew she was sensible and generous, which only made him feel more affectionate towards her. His eyes softened a little more, and he placed a hand on her shoulder, his voice tenderer, "After the way she treated you in the past, you can still think like this."

Ghania Quinlan presented herself in a gentle, dependent manner, "The past is past. I don’t want to dwell on those things."

Zayn Fisher hummed in approval and said, "You shouldn’t overthink it either. I think the chances of it being her are slim, it could just be someone with the same name. Her grades were never good; it doesn’t make sense for her to score so well this time. Besides, Tsinghua University has never had a student who got full marks in the joint college entrance exams. We’re not even sure if that’s true! You’ve successfully got into the Music Department this time, and my teacher took a liking to you, allowing you to minor in Finance. You’re already standing out among the new students. As long as you transition well in college, you’re definitely going to make a place for yourself in Beijing."

Ghania Quinlan’s dream was to enter the real top circle.

Only by securing her footing at Tsinghua University and proving her usefulness to Myles Sullivan would he tirelessly introduce her to that circle.

Getting into Tsinghua University successfully was the first step towards her goal. She felt a weight lifted from her heart, her tight hand relaxed, ambition, and desire barely concealed in her eyes.

She nodded to Zayn Fisher: "I know."

Just then, Stewin Hoffman saw them whispering to each other and teased them while knocking on his tableware, "Yo, lovebirds over there, mind the single dogs sitting here. Before you flaunt your affection, think about how we feel, will you? I don’t want to be eating dog food here."

Ghania Quinlan’s ears turned red with shyness, and she lowered her head in demure tenderness.

Stewin Hoffman clicked his tongue at the sight and turned his head with a sour expression to the boy seated beside him, complaining, "Zeus, look at them. They’re too much! Completely inconsiderate of our feelings. Ah, having a girlfriend must be nice. When will we have girlfriends? I haven’t even met someone I like!"

Zeus Tanzil silently pulled away the hand resting on his shoulder, leaned back in his chair, relaxed, and with a profound expression on his handsome face, raised an eyebrow and said, "That’s just you. Don’t lump me in with you."

"What do you mean? You just broke up with your last girlfriend not so long ago. You’re single just like me. What’s this, something new?"

Stewin Hoffman, not annoyed in the least by his hand being pushed away, leaned in eagerly, gossiping, "Who is it this time? Who’s managed to catch our Mr. Tanzil’s fancy?"

Zeus Tanzil’s previous girlfriend was the campus belle from the neighboring Beijing Dance Academy, a sophomore. Though she hadn’t graduated yet, she had already dipped her toes in the entertainment circle with her glamorous beauty, which was far more genuine than that of school beauties like Ghania Quinlan from smaller places like McKinney.

Even such a high-rank beauty hadn’t managed to hold onto Mr. Tanzil’s heart. After dating for two years, Mr. Tanzil dumped her.

He still remembered the day the girl cried Pear Blossom tears by the side of a nanny van, desperately grasping at Zeus Tanzil’s hand, begging him not to break up.

Even as an onlooker, it softened his heart.

Zeus Tanzil remained heartless and refused to agree.

It had been only three months, and Mr. Tanzil had someone new he liked?

Stewin Hoffman wondered what kind of celestial being it would take to move a man who had just broken up with the belle of the Beijing Dance Academy.
