Chapter 669: Bombarding the Li Mansion, Reducing that Broken House to Rubble

Griffith Squire waited for an hour for Ignatius Leclair. He smiled faintly, gently lifted Nicholas Carter off his shoulder, kissed him on the cheek, and patted the little guy’s head. "Uncle will come pick you and Mommy up tomorrow, okay?"

Nicholas obediently nodded and replied in his clear, childish voice, "Okay, Nicholas will wait for you!"

Griffith gave a devilish yet handsome smile, glanced at Delphine, and asked, "Are you taking my car or Ignatius’s car?"

"I’ll drive back myself," Delphine replied with a faint smile.

"Alright then."

Griffith watched Delphine take Nicholas into the car and waited until the vehicle drove off into the distance. Then he strode toward the Rolls-Royce, knocked on the car window, and raised an eyebrow with a mocking smile. "I heard you tore up the divorce papers as soon as I returned. Are you that afraid of me?"

The man’s deep, phoenix eyes lifted slightly as he gave Griffith a detached glance and replied in his low, resonant voice, "Griffith Squire, why cling to something that doesn’t belong to you? With Delphine, with Leah—you’re meddling too much."

"You and Richard Shaw sure make a good pair of brothers, both having taken a beating from me!" Griffith sneered, standing tall and wind-blown with his hands in his coat pockets. "Richard Shaw hurt my sister for so many years; he doesn’t dare utter a word in front of me. But you—what nerve you have! If it weren’t for that time when I was injured and stuck far away in Southeast Asia, do you think you could’ve tricked young Delphine into your hands?"

Griffith’s smile grew colder and more sinister as he continued, "Such despicable tactics at your disposal, Ignatius Leclair. It’s because of people like you that Delphine has been so numb and joyless all these years, too afraid to touch love. If you ever dare to force her into anything against her will, I’ll blast the Leclair estate into rubble and level it to the ground!"

His voice was fierce and domineering, carrying unyielding strength.

Ignatius’s handsome face hardened; memories from the past weighed upon him. Those years of stubbornness had caused him to mistake possession for love, blinding him to his true feelings. But now that he understood, there was no room for an outsider like Griffith to dictate his actions.

"Mr. Squire should focus on maintaining his foothold in Southeast Asia before commenting on others," Ignatius said coldly.

With that, Ignatius stepped on the accelerator and drove off to chase Delphine’s car.

The two vehicles arrived at the Leclair estate almost simultaneously.

Benjamin Leclair had been waiting at the doorway with eager anticipation. After what felt like forever, he finally saw Mommy return with Nicholas. Tears welled up in his eyes as he stomped his feet and rushed inside.

Nicholas, having just stepped out of the car, caught only a glimpse of Benjamin’s pink dress hem flashing past. The young boy stood there dazed for a moment, watching Benjamin dart away. He tugged at Mommy’s clothes and softly said, "Mommy, Benjamin seems upset."

Delphine paused, then, taking Nicholas’s hand, stepped inside. She spotted a handsome youth perched on the pomegranate tree who suddenly spoke, "I waited for you all day. Cried while waiting."

Delphine’s gaze halted as she noticed Isaac Leclair sitting on the tree branch, his legs swinging idly. Her voice softened. "Isaac, I’ll be moving out tomorrow. Do you want to live with us?"

Isaac leapt down nimbly from the pomegranate tree, waved her off casually with a smile, and walked into the side hall.

"Moving out?" The man who had followed after her asked with an icy tone, "To the Squire estate?"

"No, I found a place. Hired some staff. I’ve just never been comfortable living here at the Leclair estate." Delphine denied impulsively. "I’ll go find Benjamin."

After she said this, she didn’t wait for the man’s response and instead took Nicholas’s hand and went off to search for the upset Benjamin.
