Chapter 1083: Once a Week Until I Get Pregnant—Don’t Even Think About Anything Else

"Go away, don’t touch me." Her voice was still a bit hoarse, but it was cold as she spoke and moved towards the edge of the bed.

Richard Shaw was slightly taken aback by her resistance, his mood gloomy. Seeing her curled up in the blanket with her phone screen lighting up repeatedly, he wondered who she was chatting with. He recalled her praising Hawk Howard earlier when he walked in, and his mood became even more stifled.

Richard had no intention of sleeping. After waiting for half an hour, and seeing her still engrossed in her phone, he couldn’t bear it anymore. He pulled her out of the blanket with his large hand and said heavily, "We need to talk."

Crystal Landon tossed her phone aside, half-charming, half-innocent, and leaned against the bed, saying coolly, "Go ahead."

The man saw her cold gaze with her big black eyes sparkling and captivating. His heart was slightly moved, and his voice became unconsciously tense as he said, "If you ever want to know something in the future, you can ask me directly, don’t go digging."

Crystal curved her lips into a cold smile, "I don’t want to know anymore, if there’s nothing else, I’m going to sleep."

As she spoke, she turned over and slid back into the blanket, continuing to play with her phone. Her small hand was pressed down by his burning big hand, and her phone was confiscated.

Richard Shaw’s expression darkened slightly. His brown pupils stared deeply at her as he pursed his thin lips and said in a low voice, "I’ve already explained about Luna. How long are you going to keep this up?"

Was that what you call an explanation? Crystal let out a cold laugh and said coldly, "Then explain properly, what does it mean to care for her for four years? If Grandma hadn’t told you to marry me, were you planning to marry her? Richard Shaw, I’ve found you particularly dull, you know that?"

Suddenly, she sat up, the blanket slipping from her shoulders to reveal her snow-white, slender collarbones. She sneered, "You have a sweetheart in your heart, but you come to sleep with me? What, have you gotten addicted to it and want me to willingly let you for your pleasure? Dream on."

With every word Crystal spoke, Richard Shaw’s face became more and more unsightly, rendered speechless by her accusations. They had only had a few encounters, but each time he fell deeper.

The man’s throat was somewhat dry, and speaking in a slightly low tone, he said, "That was all in the past. After we got married, I kept my distance from her. If it weren’t for her getting burned on the leg, I wouldn’t have seen her."

Crystal sneered; if he wanted to see her, he could find countless reasons. She didn’t want to waste her breath; he could do as he pleased.

"Since that’s the case, let’s be clear. From now on, Luna better not appear in front of me. I despise those pretentious women. As for you, once a week until I’m pregnant, don’t think about anything else."

Richard Shaw’s face suddenly became dark, looking at her arrogant, yet stunning face. Once a week? Did she detest his touch that much?

"What about after you’re pregnant?" Richard asked heavily.

"Naturally, we’ll divorce. You can go find your sweetheart, and I’ll live my own life." She said coolly, "You’ve already used up this week’s chance this afternoon; there’s no more opportunity."

Richard Shaw’s face turned livid, fearing he couldn’t restrain himself from strangling her. Swallowing his anger, he got up to change and left the room without saying a word.

Seeing this, Crystal lowered her beautiful, almond-shaped eyes, looking at the cold and lonely room. She reached out and touched her belly expressionlessly. Perhaps she already carried the Shaw Family’s child. Once she bore the Shaw Family’s child, she could end this absurd marriage.
