Richard Shaw saw her so happy, unconsciously tapping his foot, his gaze attracted to her little feet.
In fact, she was lying on the bed, wearing nothing but underwear, leaving the man’s eyes unsure where to rest. He could only look at her cute little feet, and his movements applying medication slowed, gradually becoming more like a massage. He felt tense and uncomfortable all over.
"Alaric Howard still wants to hold a bachelor party and revel all night? I’ve already sent Qing Qing to tell his wife that when he comes home tonight, he should kneel on durians until the day he gets married." Crystal Landon, feeling comfortable from his warm hands massaging her, snorted coldly.
"Did Alaric offend you?" Richard Shaw thought of Augustus Howard’s arrogance today and felt he deserved a slap. "He invited you, not me. Why should I cover for him?" Crystal said playfully. She was simply displeased with Alaric. Didn’t he know Richard just came back? How dare he monopolize her Richard, with such audacity.
Richard Shaw’s stern face showed a hint of a smile. He applied a thin layer of green ointment on her marks and then thought of something, asking in a low voice, "Does it hurt below?"
The most delicate area should hurt the most.
Crystal froze for a moment, then buried her dark little head into the pillow, nodding slightly in a soft voice. Suddenly, the atmosphere in the bedroom turned somewhat heavy as the man went into the bathroom, and when he returned, his cool hands touched her round hips.
Her body trembled slightly as she felt the cool green ointment being applied to the most delicate spot, making her blush fiercely.
She wasn’t really in pain but wanted to tease him; yet, this was a blockhead, applying medication while asking, "Is it very cold?"
She opened her red lips, nearly letting out a moan, then fell silent.
This ordeal was quite uncomfortable for both of them. Finally, when the man felt it was enough, he helped her put on her pajamas and told her to go to sleep first, then headed to the bathroom.
The previous night had been a bit too wild, so Richard Shaw took a cold shower in the bathroom. Once his body’s heat gradually subsided, he emerged with a minty scent from the shower.
Crystal had already turned off the lights and was completely buried in the blanket. Richard Shaw got into bed, thought for a moment, and mentioned to her, "I applied for a transfer today. After one more trip to the Southwest Military Zone, I can transfer back to the Imperial City before the end of the year."
Now, there were only two months left until the end of the year. It was her first New Year with the Shaw Family, and he hadn’t been there with her and grandma. This year, he couldn’t miss it.
Crystal had already guessed part of it. Seeing him voluntarily transferring back, she was very happy, snuggling closer to him like a small loach, sliding into his arms, hugging the man’s strong, narrow waist, and muffling, "Grandma will be very happy."

The next day, Crystal went to the school to cancel her leave. As soon as she entered the school gates, she noticed there seemed to be more students following her than usual. When she went to the department head to cancel the leave, she felt the teachers were more enthusiastic about her than usual.
"Crystal, your picture in front of the helicopter looks cool."
"The principal praised you over the school broadcast, credited you with a major accolade, and wants to give you the Outstanding Young Person Honor Award."
Crystal looked bewildered, wondering what had happened?
